Do you find when you get glutened you quickly bloat, then lose about 5 lbs. over night?

No, I don't drop weight overnight, but I do put on a few pounds the week following....I think that is b/c I am so hungry after being glutened (isn't suprising since my body doesn't have time to process much before flushing it out).

I drop maybe 3-4 pounds over the span of the whole reaction. Does not usually all come off overnight or anything though. After the reaction is over all the weight I lost comes back and sometimes even a few extra pounds(which is alright with me)

Carriefaith Enthusiast

I loose about 3-4 pounds when I get glutened and it happens very quickly. I do gain it back though.

One time I GAINED 12 lbs overnight after a large gluten attack. It sucks gaining weight!

I bloat up like a baloon and gain weight. Have to work that weight off later.

I lose weight FAST. Within a day or or 2 I'll notice about a 5 lb. loss and then I'll gain only water weight for about a week. I can get bloated and gain up to 7 lbs. in one day but then its gone the next day. My butt will totally disappear and I'll have wasted looking buttocks. :(

Nope, I don't get much change. Some bloating, but if it's a single incident, not too much.

Thanks rmj when I first rang up it was we can't do it without , but I talked to a lovely lady and she sorted it all out for me, so it pays to be persistent , I would have had to decline if I hadn't been given the water option too , so yes I'm glad too 😌

I’m so glad they listened to your concerns!  I hope you get some answers from the MRI.

Had my MRI today I didn't have to have the manitol with my allergy's , I just had a litre of water , they were great with my concerns , so let's see if anything comes of if will keep posted once I have results 👍

Thank you ,it’s been a long road for me for having both now ,what upsets the most is that if they discovered that I also have cealiac earlier I would not have injested gluten if I was aware. Double whammy.
