Aldi Fresh Gluten Free Bread = Love

Everyone, hop in your car and drive to your nearest Aldi!  They've got FRESH gluten free sandwich bread now and it is SO good! (Fresh as in not frozen, not like someone is standing there baking loaves!) We paid $3.99 for a loaf of their whole grain.  AMAZING! First time I've had non toasted bread since January.

It's their LiveGFree brand. That place is becoming Celiac Mecca. :wub:

I can't do a pic right now, but the label says that it's dairy free, gluten free, nut free, soy free, and wheat free.

Thanks for checking.  Egg is one of ours too and that's usually the kicker for us but that is SO awesome for those who are dairy and but free!!  Fantastic!  Thanks again!

Holy cow - I read this first thing this morning and then picked up two loaves around 10a.  One loaf is almost gone!  My son (the latent celiac) ate TWO sandwiches for lunch and begged for more bread.  My husband who really, really dislikes gluten-free bread devoured some.

I live in Small Town, USA, but I'm still going to check our Aldi's and see if they have it. It sounds great!

The Aldi by me has a different selection of gluten-free stuff every time I go, so I can't rely on finding something I found before.  Curse you, Aldi!

My Aldi's hasn't been able to get it yet, but they have a shelf tag, so they plan on it. I have been able to buy quinoa and gluten free pasta at my Aldi's though.

I might go check Aldi for bread. But I will ask them to get me the still frozen loaf from the back. I don't eat that much bread, so I freeze mine anyway. I think the less freeze and thaw cycles the better. But, if you will eat it quickly, then the fact that they, like other places, put the frozen bread out on non- frozen shelves to thaw, is fine.

I agree with getting a frozen loaf from the back.  Unless you have lots of gluten-free eaters to gobble it up quickly.  I may need to make a trip to my local Aldi soon to check out what is back in stock.

I'm probably the odd one out, but I actually think that Udi's is marginally better than the Aldi's bread. It's not bad, though, especially for that price and so I'll likely buy it from time to time.

this stuff may not have Gluten in it but it's loaded in so much preservatives.  I would stay far away from this stuff as much as possible.  I did an experiment, I put a slice in a sandwich baggie.  Left it out on the counter.  Took 8 days before mold appeared.  Imagine what it is doing on your insides.

      This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers.       Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

      I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
