Should've taken a nice big sweaty picture from last night of you and posted it for everyone's viewing pleasure....

BTW, I sucked at rock climbing! Rachel went to the top (60') the first try...then again....and again....sucker!

It doesn't come off as purple though on the computer screen, at least on my computer screen, maybe more lavenderish.

Yeah...the dress is lavendar....its all purple to me though. :lol:

You did not suck. Dave wasnt trusting me very much....he wasnt having faith in my belaying skills. :rolleyes:

Haha...the first time I belayed him...as he was coming down...I was going up. :lol::lol::lol:

I was too light to belay him. They had to weigh me down. :lol:

I'm too small to belay anyone...except maybe a 12 year old. :(

Yeah...I was climbing!!! I think it was cuz I climbed alot as a kid. I climbed trees, roofs, fences, walls...whatever. I used to always go to the school on the weekends and climb onto a tree and jump onto the roof and find all the cool rubbery balls the kids had gotten stuck on the roof. All kinds of good stuff up there for me to find. :D

I was a bad kid...always adventurous...up to no good. :ph34r:

There is no toilet in this pic. I was walking down the aisle in this pic....if there were a toilet anywhere in sight I'm thinking it would NOT be a good place for a wedding. :lol::lol:

Yeah...we have to go back so we can get certified. I dont know when we'll go though...I wanna climb again...its pretty challenging. You kind of have to plan your moves as you go. They have different levels. I worked my way up to one of the harder climbs and I made it to the top!!! :D

I was proud of myself. Sheeesh it was only a little more than a year ago that I couldnt even walk up or down the stairs in my house....now I'm climbing 60 feet walls! One had a little cliff on it...so I had to climb a little out and under the cliff and then back up....way cool! It was only a little cliff though...I wanna try harder stuff next time. The lady that trained us said this place is the biggest rock climbing gym in the world. It was really cool how they have it set up.

It's quite easy. If you have a photo on your computer, just click on "edit avatar" and use your browse button to insert the photo there. If the photo is too large, then go to:

Open Original Shared Link

to adjust the size to fit within the avatar limits.....

Drive-by - No time to catch-up on everything, two year about to get up.

I am not gluten-free. Doctor's orders until my tests are done. It stinks -- brain fog does not help in my profession. The d I can live with -- what is a couple of months after several years. Two biopsies reveal celiac disease related stuff, first was some sort of stain showed sprue, second revealed athropy of the villi (mind you within four months). I may have tropical sprue (wipples diease), or a myriad of other issues. But no science here.

I like everyone's new pictures.

Wow, thanks...I'll keep that in mind! My friend is always wanting to travel, so that wouldn't be a problem, but SHE eats gluten so wouldn't want to bring her into your home, lol.

OK..put up the first pic...me and my lavander dress at my Moms wedding. You cant see my shoes though...they got cut off. I will try to make the pic more clear later.

Rachel, what a wonderful picture. I knew you were already pretty, but you look so feminine in this pic. I also wear many baseball caps, but still like to dress up on occasion. You should do it more often. Now I want to see the new sundress you bought a few weeks ago

Thanks for all the welcomes! Now things I want to do now that I am well...

-go back to Italy/Greece/Croatia

-see Grand Canyon (stole that idea from someone on here) :)

-go to a NASCAR race

-go back to visit San Diego

-take a cruise

-go to Florida (heading there in October, parents just bought a vacation house for us)

-go to Disney (falls under Florida, but I am a huge Disney fan)

That is all I can think of now. I am sure there is more.. I will add as I come up with them

We are going to the Bristol race this coming weekend! I can't wait!

We decided to switch plans for tomorrow and go miniature golfing instead.

Just too long of a drive and probabl not enough sleep for the baby boy. He hasn't ad decent naps today which doesn't help.

We are going to try the gluten free and see how symptoms and levels improve. thank you Wheatwacked (love the username lol) that is also reassuring. Thankfully she has an amazing and experienced pediatrician. And yesss I forgot to mention the poo...

      My son was diagnosed when he was weaned in 1976 after several endoscopies. Given your two year old's symptoms and your family history and your pediatrition advocating for the dx, I would agree. Whether an endoscopy is positive or negative is irrelevant. That may happen even with endoscopy. Pick your doctors with that in mind. In the end...

      here are the lab ranges. Normal ranges for tissue transglutaminase are: <15.0 Antibody not detected > or = 15.0 Antibody detected normal for endomysial antibody is < 1.5. So she is barely positive but still positive.

In the end you save the potential trauma of the endoscopy for your baby.   Mine also had really nasty poop.  His doctor started him on Nutramigen Infant because at the time it was the only product that was hypo allergenic and had complete nutrition. The improvement was immediate.

With family history it is likely she has the genes. 2.  Try a gluten free diet and see if the symptoms go away AND the antibody levels return to normal. (This is what I would do). Endoscopies aren’t always accurate in patients as young as your daughter. Unfortunately, without an endoscopy, some doctor later in her life may question whether she really has celiac disease or not, and you’ll need to be a fierce mama bear to defend the diagnosis! Be sure you have a good written record of her current pediatrician’s diagnosis. Doing a gluten challenge for an endoscopy later in life could cause a very uncomfortable level of symptoms.   Having yourself, your husband and your son tested would be a great idea.

      I have been diagnosed with coeliacs disease today after endoscopy, bloods and CT scan. I have also been diagnosed with Mesenteric Panniculitis today. Both of which I believe are autoimmune diseases. I have been told I will need a dexa scan and a repeat CT scan in 6 months. I had not even heard of Mesenteric Panniculitis till today. I don’t know much about it? Has anyone else got both of these.
