Bump!

Lost people, Come out, Come out wherever you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recap is tonight and season opener is tomorrow :D:D

jerseyangel Proficient

So you dusted off the old thread! :D

Personally, I'm looking forward to it--I'll be watching tonight, as I seem to remember last season's finale was a little hard to follow.

Anyone else planning to get "Lost"? :)

<saluting> Present & accounted for!!

(WTH kind of saying IS that anyway?? Is there a category for 'present but unaccounted for' ?)

jmengert Enthusiast

Count me in! I'm watching the season finale again tonight to catch up (and, that was one of the best tv shows, period, I've ever seen!), and I've blocked out tomorrow from 8-10--no one is to call or talk to me then!

Yea for Lost!

Well--about 15 minutes till the show starts (here in the east, anyway)

Enjoy, everyone :D

Green12 Enthusiast

It's just starting here for me, hee hee, I'm so excited :D:D

Watched the recap show tonight. Pure genius, loved the pop-ups. It's been so long we had forgotten some of it. Now I'm really excited about the season premier.

best regards, lm

At first I wasn't liking the pop up ticker thing, but as the show went on I appreciated the factoids they were giving, a lot of them I had forgotten.

That really was such a good finale, so sad with Charlie.

Do you think Charlie really dies? And who was in the coffin at the funeral home? Probably answers to questions we won't find out for a while....

I thought Ben was extra creepy at the beginning of the season, but eye patch guy is creepier.

And why is it that anyone new that comes on is weird and suspicious?? Like the guy they show for tonight's coming attractions, the guy off the "rescue" boat.

SO EXCITED FOR TONIGHT!!!!!

jerseyangel Proficient

I liked the pop ups--at first they were distracting, but evidently there were lots of little things I missed last time, so I'm glad they did it.

I have no clue as to who could be in the casket. I wonder about Charlie--they cut away just fter he "died", so maybe he could still be alive? With this show, dying isn't always permanent

Looking forward to tonight! :D

I was just watching The View and they had on the actress who plays Juliet, she couldn't give up any details

But she looked lovely, and they showed a little snippet of a sneak peek from tonights ep, looks good!!!

Hee Hee--I saw that and couldn't make heads nor tails of the clip they showed. I did hear her say she was given 2 pages of things she couldn't talk about

Oh--did you hear what Whoopie said earlier in the show about

them finding an Oceanic 815 at the bottom of the ocean?

:o She said she heard it was going to open up a whole new mystery.

I put it in a spoiler in case someone didn't want to read it ;)

DingoGirl Enthusiast

I DID see what Whoopie said......and now I'm even MORE furious. As if I already had NO clue what was going on.......................

I hate when you REALLY just have no idea what things are about.

Green12 Enthusiast

*******Warning, potential spoiler below******** (but I really don't think it is  )

Patti, as to the spoiler you posted, what Whoopie said on The View, if I am not mistaken this is already known to the viewing audience.

I think hints to this fact went out in a couple of different eps last season, I remember when somone made some kind of contact to the "outside" and the person on the other end said they had found Oceanic Flight #815 and there were no survivors.

Then on another ocasion someone was talking to somone on a radio about being survivors of the plane carash Oceanic flight 815, or something like that, and the person on the other end said, "no WE are the survivors of Oceanic FLight #815"

:o

So I am thinking some kind of paralell universe scenarios possibly??

And that is what Whoopie was referring to I believe.

jerseyangel Proficient

See, this is why I liked those pop-ups! So many points I had just forgotten--or missed

This show confuses the heck out of me, but I keep watching :D

 Patti

I could totally be wrong and getting my facts confused, but I just remember something about another plane, the same plane.....so I am thinking the fact that Whoopie mentioned it they are going to explore this matter in the upcoming eps?

It is so intricately woven, multi-layered, and complex isn't it?!?! You have to be on your toes and alert, which most of the time I am NOT

I was sure Charlie drowns in there - hey, Desmond had a vision! - but I don't know why he wouldn't at least TRY to squeeze through the porthole.

So maybe he does just swim away from certain death tonight.

SPOILERS BELOW (for anyone who hasn't seen the first ep yet)

What did everyone think of last night's season opener?

As usual more questions than answers

A few of my thoughts:

Oceanic 6??? So I guess only 6 come back and Hurley is one, Jack another, Kate another, and the person in the coffin I assume makes 4.

Who is the guy that came to visit Hugo in the mental facility, the one who claimed he was a representative of the airlines? Did you notice he said "they are still alive aren't they?" He was a little creepy. So does this mean the 6 that came back left other back on the island?

Hugo's visions with Jacob's little hut/house scared me! Did you notice there was someone in the rocking chair and then someone appeared in the window, totally freaked me out. Ben had said Locke was a threat since he could hear Jacob, now apperently Hugo will be as well?

And Locke I can't quite figure him out, why he is doing the things he is doing, like blowing up the sub? I know he had said he didn't want anyone to leave because he wants to stay on the island, but killing Naomi seemed different. I think he expressed that he didn't trust Naomi and who she was working for, it's like he knows something or has inside info that the others don't have.

Now with the splitting up of the survivors into two camps, and then taking into consideration what Hurley said at the end, ("I should have gone with you, I shouldn't have trusted Locke"), it looks like things are going to get very interesting!

Coffin? I missed that somehow. When? Where was that?

I was thinking they left the others on the island.

I almost wondered if Lock was the one in the chair. He showed up so soon.

jerseyangel Proficient

All good questions/comments, Julie--I was thinking along the same lines. Also, when John came to see Hurley in the mental hospital, he obviously was there to ask him if he was "going to tell"....

I enjoyed the show last night--we were out and only caught the last 1/2 of the recap show--but I watched last season anyway. The next 7 weeks should be a great ride :D

Missy's Mom, the coffin was shown in last season's finale. Remember, in all those present day flashes when Jack was falling apart. He had a death announcement in his pocket and then he showed up at the empty funeral home where the coffin of this mysterious person in his life who died was in the viewing room.

Ohh, maybe it was Locke. He can communicate with Jacob, maybe he has been visiting and making friends.

The next 7 weeks should be a great ride :D

Yes indeed :D

Thank You juliem. Now I remember!

LOST TONIGHT!!! :D

Be there, or be square

It looks like they are going to rerun last week's ep first so anyone who missed it can get all caught up!

@Joel K If the OP is ever in the hospital, and her celiac disease tests did come back positive and she does have celiac disease, she can just tell the doctors that she needs a gluten-free diet because she has celiac disease. They will listen to her, in all probability. And honestly, celiac disease is not taken very seriously inside hospitals, to say nothing of emergency departments, where in any case, the pt may not be able to verbalize anything, and the staff have to act right then.
    • Joel K
It is illogical not to disclose a positive celiac disease finding to your doctor, particularly if you're 60 years old. Human beings generally begin failing in one form or another from 60 onward and you might find yourself as an in-patient in a hospital or at an emergency room. Drugs often have minute amounts of gluten and hospital and nursing home food certainly contains gluten.  Here's another scenario: Your doctor sends you for annual labs and your WBC count and others come back out of range.  I frankly think one should leave politics out of the equation when it comes to your health. (Insurance isn't about your health, by the way) Or go ahead and don't let your doctor know.  Only one person will have to deal with the results of that decision.

Thanks @Beverage for checking in!  I haven't changed the dogs' food yet.  I'm still working through some of the other issues that I need to remedy (transitioning to an anti-inflammatory diet, being sure to get only gluten-free certified items, and buying some new cookware for my kitchen).  Somewhere after that, I have on my list to try out the dogs on a new dog food, but I haven't gotten there yet.  In the meantime, though, I can definitely see that some of my worst days seem to follow when there's a possibility of gluten cross-contamination (I'm still working to cut waaay down on these instances) OR when I eat anything with dairy/ milk protein in it.  So I think I need to really get a better handle on my day-to-day eating habits to reduce all gluten cross-contamination into my food and also any dairy intake, and then at that point, I think I'll start moving over to the dog food thing.
