Seriously. I just found out that I have unknowingly been consuming gluten for months. Noodles & Co. Their chicken, beef and tofu ALL contain gluten. They don't have an allergy list online, it says to ask the manager. So I did. And I was told that those things were "fine". Then today I was there and asked about something else on the menu. This time they showed me their binder. Yeah. NOT gluten-free.

This just throws everything off. Not only have I been getting gluten 2-3xs a month for almost this whole year (and while we were moving I ate there almost every day for a week), but I was always blaming other stuff when I got sick. Of course, I can't be sure what it was, do I try those things again? Forget them? UGH. This is just so frustrating.

And the priceless reaction of the cashier who showed me the list: "Why would there be wheat in chicken?"

Why indeed.

Wow...what a shock. I can't imagine what you are thinking! I am so sorry to hear about this. But, at least you know now...BUT, still!!!!!!!! How frustrating. I'm really sorry.

I hope that now that it is out, it makes you feel better! And think, this will make you such a "better" Celiac.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience at Noodles and now I'm really concerned. My daughter is away at college and she eats there quite alot since her college food is practically rabbit food. I saw Noodles listed in the restaurant guide with their gluten free items and the chicken and beef were listed as gluten-free. So now I'm confused and wondering what's up. Anyone else have some info on Noodles and Company???

I'd be pretty ticked too. Not to mention the few places you could eat, now one is off the list. That stinks I'm sorry!

I don't know. It might even be different at every location, maybe that is why they no longer make a list available online. All I know is that on the list they keep at my local place, shrimp is the only protein that is gluten-free. Make sure your daughter asks to see the list that they keep the nex time she goes.

Gosh, that's infuriating. Well, maybe the good news is the other stuff you were thinking you are sensitive to was just a result of this gluten and you will be able to go back to dairy, soy, etc again.

I'm secretly hoping that! I'm going to stay off it for a while longer, and let my whole system get back into order, then try to add it again. (Although, I did recently try to add dairy back in and was fine for a few days, then started breaking out again).

OK, so after several emails back and forth to Noodles & Co (they were very prompt in replying and I appreciate that), here's the scoop according to corporate: the chicken and beef ARE gluten free, however, the chicken is prepared on the same surface as the potstickers, which means CC. However, the pad thai noodles with beef (either strips or medallions) are gluten free and safe to eat. Sorry I didn't inquire about the tofu. Of course I told my daughter in Colorado all this info so the next time she goes she can double check about CC, but she has not had any reactions to eating there, and she eats there a lot. If you want to contact them just go to their home website and email their chef (you'll find it under the allergy site). Hope this helps.

      So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.

      I used to be able to get the Rivera yougut i havent been able to get it lately. I like getting it did say it did say gluten free. I just looking for a good yogurt that gluten free that i can add some fruit and nuts to any suggestion would be helpful  thanks
