and I'm not going to tell you guys when I do.

but you must

In the interest of science, experiments and results must be published.

"pshaw, screw science" you say?

<take 2>

For the benefit of every one of your deglutenized colleagues, anecdotes of cheating and its consequences, or lack thereof, can provide CRUCIAL information.

(or, for YOUR benefit, don't ffffff arkin cheat at ALL!!)

Even Johnny Cochrane says "if you do the test, you must confess"!!! :o

The reckless feckless femme is most uncooperative!

I didn't want to resort to this.

"Men!! Lose the cats & reload the array of catapults w/ carp!!"

"Did 'e say we're to fling poop?"

" 'e said CAAAAAAAAARP u orally dyslexic twit!"

"But we're OUT of carp! I was at The Carp Shop & and the sillywalking man said it was runny AND that the cat's eaten it!"

"Try the Pet Shop"

"Blimey I did!! Some bloke was goin' on about a parrot he'd killed!"

"Would a cow work?"

and now for something COMPLETELY similar

"Are the trout in the trebuchet?"

P.S. Now I might be conflicted in the moments the : rolleyes : emoticon used to seem appropriate! Since I don't choose using the little pictures, I'd only use it to signify actual eye-rolling!:rolleyes:

Have I underestimated the versatility of the humble  ?

To me, he's saying ''Good grief !!'' with exasparation -- rolling eyes to ceiling, absolutely no hand clapping glee involved at all madam.

Oh -- and very pertinent questions to Daughter of the Light ..... I anticipate the reply.

Yep, I gotta side with you on this one, Nikki..." " means, "Good grief!" or "What an idiot!"....no--I take that one back, as he's got a little smile, suggesting good-natured deprecation. More like "Isn't that just silly?" Nope, that little guy doesn't stymie me like  . Or how about this guy?---> ^_^ WTH is HE saying? "I feel adorable?" "I am sleeping as I type?" Hmmmm. Then there's his lesser called-upon cousin -_- . An archetypal foil? Too many little faces, and not nearly enough time!! :):P:rolleyes:

I think it looks like someone who got caught ... "Yeah, it was me who ate the whole bag of cookies."

I'm not really keeping up, my brain just cannot process this stuff right now ... you know, they say that when learning a foreign language, learning the humor can be the hardest part ... It also seems it's the first thing to go when your brain goes on vacation. I just wish I knew where it was so I could join it .... I won't make it come back to Ohio, I'll just go wherever it is. :P

I must kindly beg to differ, I think the emoticon used in taht case is this one ---> which, to me, signifies shame, also fear, but most of all, guilty admission.

Aww Dingy . . . . .no further discussion of the "and I'm not going to tell you guys when I do." ????

<tom's afraid that means it's a done deal>

Seriously Susan (you can tell it's serious when I write 'susan' ;) ) - every single one of us worries about CC and what the effects might be. (<--- his very NAME is ph34r, aka fear!!)

You are in a unique position to supply this silly little community w/ valuable info.

*I* think that if you really think about it, you'll realize you're too much of a humanitarian to withhold info as valuable as this.

Now . . .. . . .do I have to end every post w/ another plea to not poison yourself or can we just stipulate it? <_<

Yeah, he'd be that grumpy old man who doesn't let little kids cut through his yard again ... I think he's wanting to be reminded of when he first joined the forum ...

Oh, I have the curly hair, too ... very interesting hairdos in the morning, that's for sure!! And you can't brush curly hair when it's dry, so the only solution is a hat or water.

For Amanda:

A man went into a bar after work and ordered a beer. As he started drinking his beer, he heard a female voice saying seductively, 'You've got nice hair'.

The man looked all around him but couldn't see where the voice came from.

A minute later he heard the same voice saying,

'You are a handsome man.'

The man was really puzzled by this so he asked the barman what was going on.

The barman replied, 'It's the nuts - they're complimentary.'

Oh but it tastes-eses so good!!!

And it's just a small amount. And I only sometimes vomit a little. So what's the harm?

I'm not gonna worry about your cheating. You'll be as well as you want to be. I mean, c'mon . .. .. Susie's gonna do what Susie's gonna do.

The part I'm ready to harp endlessly on is that the rest of us may as well learn from your st. .. . ..uhhh .. . . .recklessness let's say.

okay - FYI - - the small vomit happened due to the RICHNESS of the foods - extremely uncustomary for me. Tollhouse cookies w/ real butter, and then FRIED CHICKEN??? a NON-celiac would vomit.....trust me.

okay Tom - - we are going to LET GO of the topic of Susie's cheating now. and, this is exactly why I shall not mention it again - - it just keeps coming up (like the burps after a doUGHnut binge!)....

can we PLEASE talk about something more important for God's sake, like the Care Bears with machine guns???????????????????

Thanks I needed that. We are preparing for an audit at work tomorrow, since we do clinical trials, every 2 years the Cooperative Group comes to audit. This is my first audit so I am a little stressed...nervous...you name it. :)

@Jane02, I hear you about the kale and collard greens.  I don't do dairy and must eat green leafies, too, to get sufficient calcium.  I must be very careful because some calcium supplements are made from ground up crustacean shells.  When I was deficient in Vitamin D, I took high doses of Vitamin D to correct the deficiency quickly.  This is safe and nontoxic.  Vitamin D level should be above 70 nmol/L.  Lifeguards and indigenous Pacific Islanders typically have levels between 80-100 nmol/L.   Levels lower than this are based on amount needed to prevent disease like rickets and osteomalacia. We need more thiamine when we're physically ill, emotionally and mentally stressed, and if we exercise like an athlete or laborer.  We need more thiamine if we eat a diet high in simple carbohydrates.  For every 500 kcal of carbohydrates, we need 500-1000 mg more of thiamine to process the carbs into energy.  If there's insufficient thiamine the carbs get stored as fat.  Again, recommended levels set for thiamine are based on minimum amounts needed to prevent disease.  This is often not adequate for optimum health, nor sufficient for people with absorption problems such as Celiac disease.  Gluten free processed foods are not enriched with vitamins like their gluten containing counterparts.  Adding a B Complex and additional thiamine improves health for Celiacs.  Thiamine is safe and nontoxic even in high doses.  Thiamine helps the mitochondria in cells to function.  Thiamine interacts with each of the other B vitamins.  They are all water soluble and easily excreted if not needed. Thank you so much @knitty kitty for this insightful information! I would have never considered fractionated coconut oil to be a potential source of GI upset. I will consider all the info you shared. Very interesting about the Thiamine deficiency.  I've tracked daily averages of my intake in a nutrition software. The only nutrient I can't consistently meet from my diet is vitamin D. Calcium is a hit and miss as I rely on vegetables, dark leafy greens as a major source, for my calcium intake. I'm able to meet it when I either eat or juice a bundle of kale or collard greens daily haha. My thiamine intake is roughly 120% of my needs, although I do recognize that I may not be absorbing all of these nutrients consistently with intermittent unintentional exposures to gluten.  My vitamin A intake is roughly 900% (~6400 mcg/d) of my needs as I eat a lot of sweet potato, although since it's plant-derived vitamin A (beta-carotene) apparently it's not likely to cause toxicity.  Thanks again!
    • knitty kitty
Hello, @Jane02,  I take Naturewise D 3.  It contains olive oil.   Some Vitamin D supplements, like D Drops, are made with fractionated coconut oil which can cause digestive upsets.  Fractionated coconut oil is not the same as coconut oil used for cooking.  Fractionated coconut oil has been treated for longer shelf life, so it won't go bad in the jar, and thus may be irritating to the digestive system. I avoid supplements made with soy because many people with Celiac Disease also react to soy.  Mixed tocopherols, an ingredient in Thornes Vitamin D, may be sourced from soy oil.  Kirkland's has soy on its ingredient list. I avoid things that might contain or be exposed to crustaceans, like Metagenics says on its label.  I have a crustacean/shellfish/fish allergy.  I like Life Extension Bioactive Complete B Complex.  I take additional Thiamine B 1 in the form Benfotiamine which helps the intestines heal, Life Extension MegaBenfotiamine. Thiamine is needed to activate Vitamin D.   Low thiamine can make one feel like they are getting glutened after a meal containing lots of simple carbohydrates like white rice, or processed gluten free foods like cookies and pasta.   It's rare to have a single vitamin deficiency.  The water soluble B Complex vitamins should be supplemented together with additional Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine and Thiamine TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) to correct subclinical deficiencies that don't show up on blood tests.  These are subclinical deficiencies within organs and tissues.  Blood is a transportation system.  The body will deplete tissues and organs in order to keep a supply of thiamine in the bloodstream going to the brain and heart.   If you're low in Vitamin D, you may well be low in other fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A and Vitamin K. Have you seen a dietician?
    • Scott Adams
I do not know this, but since they are labelled gluten-free, and are not really a product that could easily be contaminated when making them (there would be not flour in the air of such a facility, for example), I don't really see contamination as something to be concerned about for this type of product.
