Hmmmmm....reconsidering this....maybe he does stink....undiagnosed celiac=flatulence. :(
Diagnosed celiacs (plural, meaning more than one celiac) have this, too.

I am feeling much better, thank you. Don't know what it was but was able to ameliorate the situation with a bit of, uh, flatus last night.

See?

Twas me Tom, I was laughing at Susie's comments to the Spam Monster though, :)

Sue takes EEEEEEEEENORMOUS joy at writing rude comments to spammers. I jump at the chance whenever possible. :) Queen Amanda did block the loser.

but OMG - :o is Janet correct? DID I ruin our chances for REAL Prada bags at $10? oh how sad............I must find the eejit so we can get them....or forever die of regret.....

Okayyyyyyyy...somehow during the night I have SERIOUSLY wrenched my neck. I mean, I cannot turn my head today, I have NO idea what is going on. I canceled my noon coffee date with friends.......and am going to take a muscle relaxant  ( <---- pleased) and crawl into bed with fresh sheets and heating pad (plus one therapy dingo and several People magazines from mommy) and drift off into sleep......hence, getting NOTHING done for Christmas today. Good gawd........we really do need a magic triangle and a back button to delay this event......Sue is extremely ill-prepared for the 25th this year.......

EMILY!!!!!!!!!! Send your Redford-esque brother down here STAT!!!!!!!!! susie needs a neck massage and a bartender toot sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

;)

[note: if I show up later and am even funnier than usual, you may blame it on the SOMA]

How do you know they were knock-offs? Perhaps it was the real thing!!! And now we have all lost our chance to own a Prada purse for $10!!!

:o Say it isn't so

Mmmmm, yes . . . and what are you going to do with your hair?

Two choices Tom

What??? Flatulence???

Dear gawd !!!! You are NOT wrong there !!!!

Brett is 54. Perhaps too old?

If he's looking like Redford, I don't think there IS a 'too old' for Susie!:P

I hate it when you get a hedgehog trapped in your hair - damn things are so spikey.

I am left to ponder the difference (to my untrained ear) the difference between a Canadian to an American accent.

My son #2 has a Canadian teacher

My son #3 has an American teacher

I can conclude that:

1) England has no teachers of their own

2) The American teacher's accent sounds more 'twangey' to me (the Canadian's more subtle)

Ahhh but us yanks would need to know exactly WHERE in the States he/she hails.

Pretty wide variety of accents, to us.

Um, ahem, I believe the correct phrasing is "from whence he/she hails........." Good gawd, Man, have you learned nothing here?

:P

OMG 54 is NOT too old if he is aging like Redford! Indeed no!

dear gaaaaaaaaaawd .......... no one is going to have anything from me for christmas.......and BTW I still haven't even decided WHERE I'm spending it............

Hedgehogs in the hair!!!!!!!!!! Such a superb holiday idea........one can never go wrong with this, really...........

In Canada, too. The East Coasters are VERY Scots sounding (...Scot?...Scots? Celiacs?...) , Torontonians a bit Boston/NY..."New Yowak"... Dunno about the West Coast, haven't been there enough.

Why do I feel as if I'm being intercontinentally threatened?

I do hope the strategic placement would be symmetrical. I will NOT stand for asymmetrical hedgehog-head!! (Hmmmmm maybe if quite artistically placed? <gotta hedge my position a bit ya see>)

Welcome to the forum, @Mmoc! Please include the reference ranges for the IGA and the TTG tests in your next post if you have access to them. We cannot comment much otherwise as different labs use different reference ranges for these tests and also different units of measurement. There are no universal standards as of yet so the raw test numbers are not always helpful. Having said that, if your IGA (what we usually call "total IGA") is low, the TTG-IGA score will be skewed and cannot be trusted. Other kinds of tests for celiac disease would need to be run, particularly those in the IGG family of tests. Perhaps this will be helpful:

Hi there any advice welcomed. I have had 4 years of symptoms ranging from immune related anaphylactic symptom sudden onset food allergy to peppers/paprika/chilli/capsicum family derivatives. all these allergies fizzled out and following a food challenge test in hospital I reintroduced them a few months ago. Since then my digestive system is a mess. i have since noticed that 4 years ago when testing for iga allergies my iga level was .62 and my ttg was less than .1 (due to symptoms I was probably eating very plainly at that time). should I insist on being retested for celiac? I’ve since read two indicators for celiac include: sensitive to spicy foods when in flare up tooth enamel weakness and symmetrical discolouration patches on teeth which I have had since childhood on my two front teeth     thanks

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.
