Oh, I forget who wanted the flour conversion options. You could try white rice, quinoa flakes, and cornstarch or tapioca starch. I think millet or teff would be too dark.

Absolut is made from wheat. I know they say it's Gluten-free, but I get a strong reaction from it. It took me a while to figure it out, but Absolut makes me sick. That was my drink, I kept a bottle in my freezer. Now I have to drink rum, wine or if I can find some, sorghum beer.

Congratulations Queen Erica!!! You are more than welcome to take this job!! I will be shipping up the crown, robe and sceptre shortly. The robe smells. Needs dry cleaning. I think Emily let her dogs sleep on it. Don't ask about the blood stain!! Yes, the jester and trumpeter are doing better, however, they have a standing appointment for their couples counseling that you will need to make sure that they get to . . . and whatever you do, don't let them get ahold of the keys to ANYbody's car, truck, RV, lawn tractor, etc . . . you get the drift. If you've got a lock for yer bike, I would use it.

Awwwwww . . . Sammmmmmmmmmmy . . . You know Laura, right now while you guys are both at work, he's sleeping as much as he can so that he can stay up all night and play with youse guys tonight!!! :lol::lol: Good Thang those puppies are so darn cute!!!

I really expected higher numbers.

Candida IgA 8

Candida IgG 2

Candida IgM 7

Limit's 10 for all.

So the test says it's not a problem. Or shouldn't be. It would've explained CFS, perfume/cleanser issues AND all the foods beyond gluten, dairy, soy that bother me.

I've never had a "total IgA" test. As w/ the celiac antibody test (which I never had), couldn't that possibly distort this antibody test?

P.S. Congrats Teen Queen Air-ih-kah!!!!!

Yes, the puppy smell!!!!!! You know those email "getting to know you" surveys (with questions like what's your favorite food, movie, tv show, drink, smell) I always put down "puppies" as one of my favorite smells!!!

My Stinker, God rest her soul, ran a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeerry successful trenching and excavation business in the back yard for her first two to three years........I'm not talking just......digging holes........oh no. We are talking furrows.....caverns........deep, long, connected ruts.....tunnels......nearly the whole grass obliterated and gone. :blink: Just a continuous maze of deep ruts and furrows and mud and dirt and holes.

Who knew hot tubs would require maths :huh: that's something to bring up when kids say, "when will I ever need to use this again in my life???" when doing math homework. Feeling ever so better about me my son's educational future today having had a meeting phirst thing this morn - they are going to try and get him into an 'integration programME' for kids who've been out of school for a long time

So my little story to share.....I was treadmilling this morning, flipping through the OnDemand music channels as usual trying to find a song with a good up tempo beat when I land on a catchy song by the band 3 Oh! 3 (maybe the youngins or kids of sillies are more familiar?)       Not necessarily. The "Gluten Free" label means not more than 20ppm of gluten in the product which is often not enough for super sensitive celiacs. You would need to be looking for "Certified Gluten Free" (GFCO endorsed) which means no more than 10ppm of gluten. Having said that, "Gluten Free" doesn't mean that there will necessarily be more gluten than "Certified...

      thank you both for the insights. i agree, im going to back off on dairy and try sucraid. thanks for the tip about protein powder, i will look for whey protein powder/drinks! i don’t understand why my doctor refused to order it either. so i’ve decided i’m not going to her again, and i’m going to get a second opinion with a GI recommended to me b...

      Let me suggest an adjustment to your terminology. "Celiac disease" and "gluten intolerance" are the same. The other gluten disorder you refer to is NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity) which is often referred to as being "gluten sensitive". But if the GI doc does want to do more testing, you can worry about the gluten challenge at that time. But between now and the time of the appointment, if your symptoms improve on a gluten free diet, that is more evidence. Just keep in mind that if a gluten challenge is called for, the bare minimum challenge length is two weeks of the daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten, which is about the amount found in 4-6 slices of wheat bread. But, I would count on giving it four weeks to be sure.

      thank you both for the insights. i agree, im going to back off on dairy and try sucraid. thanks for the tip about protein powder, i will look for whey protein powder/drinks!   i don’t understand why my doctor refused to order it either. so i’ve decided i’m not going to her again, and i’m going to get a second opinion with a GI recommended to me by someone with celiac. unfortunately my first appointment isn’t until February 17th. do you think i should go gluten free now or wait until after i meet with the new doctor? i’m torn about what i should do, i dont know if she is going to want to repeat the endoscopy, and i know ill have to be eating gluten to have a positive biopsy. i could always do the gluten challenge on the other hand if she does want to repeat the biopsy.    thanks again, i appreciate the support here. i’ve learned a lot from these boards. i dont know anyone in real life with celiac.

Having said that, the reality is there is still much inconsistency in how people use these terms. Since celiac disease does damage to the small bowel lining it often results in nutritional deficiencies such as anemia. NCGS does not damage the small bowel lining so your history of anemia may suggest you have celiac disease as opposed to NCGS. But either way, a gluten-free diet is in order. NCGS can cause bodily damage in other ways, particularly to neurological systems.
