M-mm....she's libel to find more on her doorstep than just a kitty :o;)

 one can hope.........

SILLIES - I must go shopping now. Not happy. Need some new jeans. Hideous waste of time as - I am of the belief that if you TRY hard enough, you can find a WAY MORE PHABULOUS pair than just an average or unflattering pair, which requires trying on about 500 pairs. <_< So, it's at least an hour-long event at Target (or Old Navy, but Target's closer) when this happens, with DOZENS of trips to the dressing room  unless I get lucky and discover said jeans right in the beginning and then......you just know. ;)

Okay and..........can I name this cat PEANUT? He is just such a little Peanut. And it's kind of fun to say and.....it makes me larph, like he does. He is not a serious gentleman, like a Winston, he's a........well, he's a li'l peanut.

Opinions, please. :)

The rooms part means that you need to take a closer look at your life.......ther are wonderful aspects to it that you have not yet discovered. The wildcats signify that you are afraid that change will disrupt the comfy and predictable life you and Weezie have. ;)

.........you do realize I'm just pulling this out of me arse.......right?:lol::lol:

:o

   yes, but, it always sounds SOOOOOOO believable and credible. Queen Leesargh, the Wackl Dream Analyzer. I swear any shrink would say it means the same thing as you do.

I'm glad I did it--I've already found a salon in Houston that does it. The cool thing is that the stylist said it should last for about 12 weeks....maybe a bit less.

Love the hair Patti. Really sounds easy. Only Patti would find a salon before she hits town. now this is a lady who has her priorities straight. ;)

Well, I'm out of forks. I guess this means I need to do dishes......or.....only eat things that require a spoon  Maybe I'll have a bowl of ice cream and ponder my options ;)

love your way of thinking Jess........

You guys, i can't keep up.

Hi to the rest of you all

Is Bev in FL?

I think they all have their little quirks--but when they learn a trick like that, they tend to do it over and over. Allo has a thing for bare feet--ever since he's a kitten. To this day, if I walk in bare feet, he attacks my foot. It's like he's hard-wired to do that

Hi everybody! Suessy....Peanut sounds perfect! Just don't be tempted to shorten it and call out your door for "Peeny!" same results as calling "Weenis" out your door

You've got my prayers!!! How painful to see any small baby/child sick or in pain and they can't even communicate about it. Keep us posted on his progress, please.

Kurly-Padty, I did post a picture briefly....but it was (at least) a few years old. I won't tell you how many years old it was :P I'll have to think long and hard about posting a more recent one <_<

Peanut!!!! I love that name, it's a common nickname I use with me nieces.....peanuts are irresistably cute, and not always on their best behavior, the little peanuts!!....very fitting I think!! Angus will just have to be the middle name

Good luck with your jean shopping Sooze, I hate that more than anything. Would rather gouge my eyes out with plastic utensils I think.....forks or spoons, what ever is available Jess

Patti!!! Love your av!!! Your hair look fabulous :D I am rather intrigued by this Diva haircut method and will be checking into it stat...also the products they recommended for you ;)

Theresa....if personal pictures were required that would make me a mountain :lol: I agree with Patti though, it is kind of nice to put a face to the name, but certainly not a rule.

Go Sophie!!!! Go Wildcats!!! Um, is her season all year round?!?! Seems like the entire calendar year she has a big game or tourney

Janet, prayers for your friend's baby.

Gah! Forgot a bunch of other stuff!

 It DOES come trippingly off the tongue, and so far, it is seeming to fit.....alas, we've had him FOUR WEEKS and with 3 or 4 different names  But Peanut seems right, I mean, Jools is right in her description of hte little PEANUTS!!!!!!!!!! full of trouble, this one, but oh so cute.....really doesn't take himself too seriously, like one of my mom's (dead) cats, Robert (Bobby) - - quite a brilliant gentleman - my mom always thought Bobby was my dad, who had come to life in the form of her cat

So I have a Peanut and a Weezle......such dignified pets

Jan-knit - :( so sorry about your friend's wee babe......sending a prayer up for him.

oh - missing photos - I think Bun-knee is thinking of Theresa's phleeting photo???? dunno.....

The jeans-shopping was really not too bad! Maybe 25 minutes total. Very efficient. The true test, however, comes in one's own mirror at home. <_<

and SILLIES - help me - I bought a can of SMOKED HERRINGS todya at TJ Maxx.:huh: what in hell do I do with those.......does ANYone eat them? anyone like them?

@Jane02, I hear you about the kale and collard greens.  I don't do dairy and must eat green leafies, too, to get sufficient calcium.  I must be very careful because some calcium supplements are made from ground up crustacean shells.  When I was deficient in Vitamin D, I took high doses of Vitamin D to correct the deficiency quickly.  This is safe and nontoxic.  Vitamin D level should be above 70 nmol/L.  Lifeguards and indigenous Pacific Islanders typically have levels between 80-100 nmol/L.   Levels lower than this are based on amount needed to prevent disease like rickets and osteomalacia. We need more thiamine when we're physically ill, emotionally and mentally stressed, and if we exercise like an athlete or laborer.  We need more thiamine if we eat a diet high in simple carbohydrates.  For every 500 kcal of carbohydrates, we need 500-1000 mg more of thiamine to process the carbs into energy.  If there's insufficient thiamine the carbs get stored as fat.  Again, recommended levels set for thiamine are based on minimum amounts needed to prevent disease.  This is often not adequate for optimum health, nor sufficient for people with absorption problems such as Celiac disease.  Gluten free processed foods are not enriched with vitamins like their gluten containing counterparts.  Adding a B Complex and additional thiamine improves health for Celiacs.  Thiamine is safe and nontoxic even in high doses.  Thiamine helps the mitochondria in cells to function.  Thiamine interacts with each of the other B vitamins.  They are all water soluble and easily excreted if not needed. Thank you so much @knitty kitty for this insightful information! I would have never considered fractionated coconut oil to be a potential source of GI upset. I will consider all the info you shared. Very interesting about the Thiamine deficiency.  I've tracked daily averages of my intake in a nutrition software. The only nutrient I can't consistently meet from my diet is vitamin D. Calcium is a hit and miss as I rely on vegetables, dark leafy greens as a major source, for my calcium intake. I'm able to meet it when I either eat or juice a bundle of kale or collard greens daily haha. My thiamine intake is roughly 120% of my needs, although I do recognize that I may not be absorbing all of these nutrients consistently with intermittent unintentional exposures to gluten.  My vitamin A intake is roughly 900% (~6400 mcg/d) of my needs as I eat a lot of sweet potato, although since it's plant-derived vitamin A (beta-carotene) apparently it's not likely to cause toxicity.  Thanks again!

Hello, @Jane02,  I take Naturewise D 3.  It contains olive oil.   Some Vitamin D supplements, like D Drops, are made with fractionated coconut oil which can cause digestive upsets.  Fractionated coconut oil is not the same as coconut oil used for cooking.  Fractionated coconut oil has been treated for longer shelf life, so it won't go bad in the jar, and thus may be irritating to the digestive system. I avoid supplements made with soy because many people with Celiac Disease also react to soy.  Mixed tocopherols, an ingredient in Thornes Vitamin D, may be sourced from soy oil.  Kirkland's has soy on its ingredient list. I avoid things that might contain or be exposed to crustaceans, like Metagenics says on its label.  I have a crustacean/shellfish/fish allergy.  I like Life Extension Bioactive Complete B Complex.  I take additional Thiamine B 1 in the form Benfotiamine which helps the intestines heal, Life Extension MegaBenfotiamine. Thiamine is needed to activate Vitamin D.   Low thiamine can make one feel like they are getting glutened after a meal containing lots of simple carbohydrates like white rice, or processed gluten free foods like cookies and pasta.   It's rare to have a single vitamin deficiency.  The water soluble B Complex vitamins should be supplemented together with additional Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine and Thiamine TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) to correct subclinical deficiencies that don't show up on blood tests.  These are subclinical deficiencies within organs and tissues.  Blood is a transportation system.  The body will deplete tissues and organs in order to keep a supply of thiamine in the bloodstream going to the brain and heart.   If you're low in Vitamin D, you may well be low in other fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A and Vitamin K. Have you seen a dietician?

I do not know this, but since they are labelled gluten-free, and are not really a product that could easily be contaminated when making them (there would be not flour in the air of such a facility, for example), I don't really see contamination as something to be concerned about for this type of product.
