So, while we are all basking in unseasonably warm weather, it is hard to realize that there are less than four days remaining until the start of this year's Open Original Shared Link

For those of you who weren't here last year, one of us has a personal connection to Open Original Shared Link

Two days ago, our dryer would not drain....it was half-full of water until DH banged around down there for a hour or so, and then it finally emptied. I rolled over 4500 posts yesterday......And this morning, our dishwasher is not draining.

DH banged around in the kitchen this am, but it still sits with dirty water in the bottom.

So...Ehm....what it Suk-a-toe-ah? Never heard of it....and what does it have to do with trig? Inkwiring Minds Whant to Noe :D

Gaaaaaahhhhh.. . . . ...My grade ten mathS teacher, a huge woman with short, carrot-orange curly hair, enormous black-framed glasses (is it any surprise that I can still picture her perfectly?) excitedly told us the official anacronym for remembering the trig formula. Hilarious, as I remember the anacronym, but not what in hell

the formula was used to compute. . . ... :lol::lol: Chief SOHCAHTOA - - somefin' about sines, cosines, hypotenuses.....crap. . ...... give me a moment.. . .. ...

Ahhhh! Here!

SOHCAHTOA

A way of remembering how to compute the Open Original Shared Link, Open Original Shared Link, and Open Original Shared Link of an Open Original Shared Link.

SOH stands for Sine equals Opposite over Open Original Shared LinkOpen Original Shared Link.

CAH stands for Cosine equals Open Original Shared LinkOpen Original Shared Link over Open Original Shared LinkOpen Original Shared Link.

TOA stands for Tangent equals Opposite over Open Original Shared LinkOpen Original Shared Link.

s126.gif

.. . . ....'Tis a nightmare. . . .....who in HELL uses this formula??????

Perhaps I can use it to fix my dishwasher.

I tried to get me own sub first and found out that there are (at least) three of us out today out of a total of 10 . . . ok, should I do a little mathS here and convert that into a fraction?? percentages?? . . . Not too hard. I can even do this one without a calculator and whilst running a fever.

Hey! Jahgnit. . . ...methinks if you assembled all of the possible supply teachers into a triangular formation in the staff room, you could employ the infinitely useful SOHCAHTOA formula, here. . . . . .....

YAYYY!!! SO excited. . .. ..... ....

GOOOOOOOO MICHELLE!!!

I believe the starting pistol is 2 pm this Saturday. This year they start from Whitehorse. . . ...

Hmmmmm......Devil Child would indeed be hitting the east coast first. .. . .....

Can he fix dishwashers, then?

Todays phunnies; (it's a special day...you get two :D )

It's winter in New York and the gentle breezes blow,

Thirty freaking miles an hour at twenty-five below..

Oh, how I love New York when the snow's up to your butt,

You take a breath of winter and your nose gets frozen shut!!

Yes, the weather here is wonderful so I guess I'll hang around,

I could never leave New York because I'm frozen to the ground!

Here are some short profiles on Michelle's beautiful team for this year's race.. . . ..I think my favorite is PATTI, a lovely little girl with quiet dignity who inspires confidence in any teammates with whom she runs alongside. Hmmmmm.......sounds like another Patti, somehow. . . . . .... :);)

We're home :D It really was a lovely time--lots of laffs and lots of wine :P Gawd, the only time I teared up was wif me dad--but they'll be out to visit, probably the day after we get a house.:lol:

Yesterday was spent at the hospital, though.......Mark's 91 year old aunt was having trouble breathing so his 89 and 1/2 year old mom called us at me mom's fer help. We picked up the both of them and met her doctor at the hospital. Long(very long) story short, he ended up switching her meds and sending her home--luckily it was (only)bronchitis, reaction to too many meds-- and probably a bit of anxiety.

It was quite something when we stopped at Wegman's for her prescriptions. Suddenly, she had more energy and was breathing fine, albeit wif a cough, so Mark went wif his mom to pick up a few things and I stayed wif Aunt Clara. There we were, picking things off the shelves for them, reading them the prices, bagging up minute amounts of produce ......all the while moving at a snail's pace.

We loaded everything up and took her back to the retirement home--which was beautiphul, by the way--and kept her company until her dinner was delivered and one of her "neighbor ladies" came by. It wasn't the afternoon we had planned, but it was nice to be able to help for once and so nice to spend time with a remarkable lady.

I have not begun to catch up, so I'm jumping in :D What did I miss?

Workin' on it . . .

Did you take that pic of the humming bird??? I do so love hummingbirds . . . we only get the ruby-throated here and they are quite territorial. I was standing next to my feeder one day and I had one try to chase me off . . . cheeky little bugger.

Pahteigh! Your unexpected afternoon adventure just struck me as so.....wonderful, somehow. :) What a special lady Aunt Clara is! Absolutely terrific that you were engaged with her in such a way. . . . .....And I know she felt so safe and cared for in your capable hands. :)

Now, in your conversations with her, you didn't mention anything about anal glands or the yeti, didja?

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
