Egads.I googled do chickens have sex with roosters and found out more than I EVER wanted to know about chicken sex.

RSTD....ba ha ha   x 20

But what I REALLY want to know is do hens crave poutine? Is poutine gluten-free- the gravy part? What in the world are cheese CURDS- sounds gross!

mushroom Proficient

Sorry, you will just have to eat something gross if you want cheese; curds is what is formed first and then they have to be compressed into those wheels you see--there is a lot of processes (and compresses) between the cow and the cheese.

I am ready to make my official Royal Gastronomic Opinion known.

I have never had poutine. However, how many of you have had cheesy loaded mashed potatoes with gravy? SAME THING!

So, I declare it a good thing and will be attempting to recreate at home (having recently leanred that the royal boyfriend loves gravy in all forms and sizes) using frozen safe fries, cheese, and homemade gravy. I will inform all of you once this has been accomplished. Now, everyone draw straws and whoever gets the longest short one will go to work for me tomorrow.... oy...

Sendin' a celiac disease your way, I am ;)

Suze . . . I think I've said this before . . . please don't send me Celiac Disease . . . although sometimes (like tonight) I think I may have it.

and one for Emmel, too :)

Emmel doesn't need any more Celiac Disease . . . you can only get it once you know.

Now . . . a Celiac Disease burner?? . . . is that some sort of new therapy?? .. ...sounds like it would hurt.

Geoss, do chickens lay eggs only once a month?

Nope . . . wouldn't be worth keepin' if they only got laid once a month. Twould be time for fried cikverb.

Suze, come over to my house and I will make you some gluten free fried chicken and poutine.

poultine, poultine, we all scream for poultine.

Do ckns eat poultine? Ckns eat anything, including each other. thier offspring, thier husbands, wives, and lovers. Ever here of fighting cocks? Boy, you dont' want to mess with one of those! I once had a Banti rooster who attacked me and if my car window wouldn't have been closed, I could have lost an eye! The next day, It's spur hit my DD (2 at the time) under her eye. That rooster was dinner that night. :P

Ckns (hens) lay eggs daily in season. the first ones are really tiny, called pullet eggs. Then, they lay regular eggs for the seson. Then, they slow down, you bucther them, and they become stewing hens. It is legal to have hens in NYC, but not roosters. Even NYC knows men are bad! Sorry Petrer! Enough about poultry.

We want poultrine!

It's been a long typin and flipin day.

and I am simply going to DIE without getting it TOO-DAY

I want poutine :( *sniff*

DIS IS PHUNNEEE!:lol: Sooozle, ya gots me larphin'... . . ....it's great to see your posts up here. . . . .

.....I have a friend who has them....big, chunky, wide, square feet.

Dear gawd, never seen these before.. . .... . . . . . .. ..... . . .

Well, square feet would be a helluva lot easier to take than, say, hexagonal feet. . ........how about circular feet? Crap, you'd probably just keep walking back to where you've been...then forth... . . ....then back... . . ....forth..... <_<

What is wrong with both the Susan's :( I, too am as you. Have an art desk setup (for 3 years, now). Have paint, brushes, paper that my daughter gave me for my b-day 1 1/2 years ago.

I, also, am guilty of this.. . . ......I do not prioritize my artistic/creative time, and it falls by the wayside. I painted a big mural in my daughter's room quite a while ago, and nuttin' since.

I need to start painting nude guys again.

I've made poutine two or three times.....gad.......but not since celiac hit the household. It would be easy to do gluten-free - - make the gravy with cornstarch. I remember it being important to bake the fries really well, so that they are extra crispy (so much greasy crap smothering them)..........

When we have our massive Psilly Psummit, we are eating poutine. I am declaring this, despite my un-monarchical status.

This from Wiki:

Open Original Shared Link are popular in some Open Original Shared Link regions of Canada such as Open Original Shared Link and parts of Open Original Shared Link as well as in the Open Original Shared Link of the Open Original Shared Link. To the right are freshly made morsels of Open Original Shared Link before being pressed and aged. In Quebec and Eastern Ontario, they are popularly served with Open Original Shared Link and Open Original Shared Link as Open Original Shared Link. In some parts of the U.S., they are breaded and fried. Fresh cheese curds squeak against the teeth as they are bitten. There are also many popular varieties besides cheddar, such as white cheeses and flavored cheeses (Open Original Shared Link, Open Original Shared Link, Open Original Shared Link, Open Original Shared Link, Open Original Shared Link, etc). The cheeses themselves are not flavored but rather lightly coated with a powdered flavor, natural or not, similar to Open Original Shared Link.

The only input I can offer on civkebs is that my FIL raises them, and so when my DD had her lovely outdoor wedding on their property, you could hear the chickens all during the ceremony.....and it's all on video! ;)

Gluten-free gravy can be made with corn starch as a thickener. Glutino makes a gluten-free brown gravy mix.

Buleeve cheese curds are cottage cheese witout d'juice.

Close enough for government work. When milk is curdled to make cheese, the solid part is the curds and the liquid part is the whey. In cottage cheese, most (but not all) of the whey is drained off.

 We went to a community meeting this evening about "traffic calming" measures in our neighboUrhood. The town made major changes to our road, and one that intersects it, a year ago. The local councilor claims there was public consultation and surveys were conducted prior to the work being done. We have lived on this street for more than twenty years, and I read the local paper, and I read mailings from the town. The first I knew of this was when the 'Choke Points' were constructed. Apparently, AFTER the construction, a survey showed that 85 per cent of residents opposed what was done (include us in that 85%). Almost nobody at the meeting was satisfied with what the town did. But the town doesn't want to undo it because that would cost the same amount of money that they wasted doing it in the first place, leaving them where they started physically but minus $1,500,000 (estimate).

WAAAY too many amazing posts for one night, and it's not Friday???? Some quotes taken at random:

going to get my crockpot out now and put it on my "painting" table.

Now that's my problem, phinally identified: the crockpot is in the wrong place. Put crockpot on painting table, mix watercolor, heat on low for five hours and if ya still feel in da mood, throw some paint on de paper and see what happens; mix with garden soil from under de fingernails, throw on a civckeb and let in walk all over it and ye have a masterpeice

...I have a friend who has them....big, chunky, wide, square feet.

No, they's not supposed to be square, they's supposed to be cutely tapered, from da big one down to da little one, so they don't fit any of the current popular shoe styles.. No wonder so many peeples have corns and bunyuns.

I, also, am guilty of this.. . . ......I do not prioritize my artistic/creative time, and it falls by the wayside. I painted a big mural in my daughter's room quite a while ago, and nuttin' since.

This sounds like basically normal guvmint function. We lives on a little rural street with views of harbour and mountains and it t'was only by a quirk we found out the council was planning to put a bloody big street light right in the middle of the view to light up the sidewalk we do not have so the people who walk on the non-existent sidewalk do not trip over the cracks in said non-existent sidewalk that the council would not have fixed. Fortunately, our petition and my repeated pesteringt of the council preserved our pristine views of moonrise over the harbor and we don't have to lower our blinds every night to block out the unasked for light.

We is busy packing our bags, packing our garage cupboards, eating up the refrigerator, pestering our drug company to get supplies of meds before we leave.... that one's the hardest. Getting out of here is never a fun time....

Goooood Morning, Psills!

Just may head out for a poutine at lunchtime today.......Let's see....there are any number of chip trucks dotted throughout the city to visit.....there's McDee's, Harveys, Swiss Chalet, Wendy's, virtually all of the little diners... . ..

It's eveywhere. :unsure::rolleyes:

However, I eat a plate of this stuff and I can hear my veins cracking afterward. AND, my blood sugar spikes.

AND, I'll have to undo my pants for a while -- the mailman is back to his lunchtime delivery schedule, so I could well have another unplanned, embarrassing meeting with him.

@catnapt,  Wheat germ contains high amounts of lectins which are really hard to digest and can be irritating to the digestive tract.  They can stimulate IgG antibody production as your blood test shows.   Even beans have lectins.  You've simply eaten too many lectins and irritated your digestive tract.   You may want to allow your digestive tract to rest for a week, then start on gluten in "normal" food, not in concentrated vital wheat gluten. This explains it well: Lectins, agglutinins, and their roles in autoimmune reactivities https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25599185/

I take Now B-1 (100 mg) Thiamine Hydrochloride, and Amazing Formulas L-Tryptophan (1000 mg).   Both are gluten free and free of other allergens.  I've taken them for a long time and haven't had a problem with them. I take Vitamin A from BioTech called "A-25".  It's gluten and allergen free and made in the USA.  It's a powder form of Vitamin A.  I was having trouble digesting fats at one point, but found I tolerated the powder form much better and have stuck with it since.   Tryptophan and Vitamin A help heal the intestines as well as improves skin health.  I get Dermatitis Herpetiformis and eczema flairs when my stomach is upset.  So I'm healing the outside as well as the inside.   I take one 1000 mg Tryptophan before bedtime.   With the Thiamine HCl, take 100 mg to start.  If you don't notice anything, three hours later take another. You can keep increasing your dose in this manner until you do notice improvement.  Remember not to take it in the evening so it won't keep you too energized to sleep. When I first started Thiamine HCl, taking 500 mg to 1000 mg to start was recommended.  If you've been thiamine insufficient for a while, you do notice a big difference.  It's like the start of a NASCAR race: Zoom, Zoom, turn it up!   This scared or made some people uncomfortable, but it's just your body beginning to function properly, like putting new spark plugs in your engine.  I took 1000 mg all at once without food.  It kicked in beautifully, but I got a tummy ache, so take with food.  I added in Thiamine TTFD and Benfotiamine weeks later and felt like I was Formula One racing.  So cool.  You may feel worse for a couple days as your body adjusts to having sufficient thiamine.  Feels sort of like you haven't cranked your engine for a while and it backfires and sputters, but it will settle down and start purring soon enough.  Adjust your dose to what feels right for you, increasing your dose as long as you feel improvement.  You can reach a plateau, so stay there for several days, then try bumping it up again.  If no more improvements happen, you can stay at the plateau amount and experiment with increasing your Thiamine TTFD.  It's like being your own lab rat.  LoL Yes, take one Benfotiamine at breakfast and one at lunch.  Take the B Complex at breakfast. Take the TTFD at breakfast and lunch as well.  I like to take the vitamins at the beginning of meals and the NeuroMag at the end of meals.   You may want to add in some zinc.  I take Thorne Zinc 30 mg at breakfast at the beginning of the meal.   Are you getting sufficient Omega Threes?  Our brains are made up mostly of fat.  Flaxseed oil supplements, sunflower seed oil supplements (or eat the seeds themselves) can improve that.  Cooking with extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil is also helpful.   @Wheatwacked likes phosphotidyl choline supplements for his Omega Threes.  He's also had dramatic health improvement by supplementing thiamine.  You're doing great!  Thank you for sharing your journey with us.  This path will smooth out.  Keep going!
    • catnapt
good luck! vital wheat gluten made me violently ill. I will touch the stuff ever again.
    • catnapt
I wouldn't consider this lucky. I can NOT tolerate the symptoms. And I googled it and I was not even getting 10 grams of gluten per day and I was extremely ill. They'd have to put me in the hospital. I'm not kidding.   I will have my first appt with a GI dr on March 4th   I will not eat gluten again - at least not on purpose   they are going to have to come up with a test that doesn't require it.
    • xxnonamexx
What Thiamine Hydrochloride brand do you take? Is it like the other vitamins I have added? What brand Tryptophan and amount do you take. Thanks
