Nik-a-nik......sometimes teachers need a com-uppance! They have no business question your parenting skills!!!! I once had a "talking to" to one of my son's teachers. He was not working up to his level for a bit. According to her it was because "all" of the other kids talked about wonderful vacations and places that they go, and my kid did not....etc, etc, like she thought he was so deprived and neglected. Pee'd me right off! Told her a bit about what our lives were like and that it wasn't about to change unless she had some miraculous suggestions. Secondly I didn't think it had to do with anything in his life outside of school and maybe she ought to look at her own motivational behaviors. Of course....I was verrrry calm and polite-like  . Sure I was. For some reason these things were never brought up again. ;) , and the boy settled back into doing better (for a while anyway).

Kold here...still, again. Change too abrupt for my liking. But then again...the temps are not likely to be to my liking until next summer. Hope we get a real one next year.

Sleetzin Wikedokovich....good job on the stick-free! We're all pulling for ya! And dancing already.....a good substitute if I ever heard of one.

I want to officially claim myself as a DUMB**SS. I had the stumerity to ask you if your broth had written any other books. Today, I went to his web-site and found out- stupid Susan, stupid Susan, stupid Susan. I have to admit, because of circumstanses that I could have controlled, I quit reading. I used to be, as the qliche says, an avid reader. I most love Kurt Vonnegut, Ray Bradberry, and Issac Assimov. Then Doestoyevski, Tolstoy. and Bulgakov. Sylvia Plath, Myah Angelo, many other authers. Once interviewed R. Buckminster Fuller. Read all of his books. Read the Short story " Peking Man" Reminded me of RB.. I know I'n not supposed to apoligise on this place, but am.

PS You must also be a person of interest, although you don't much respond to my Posts, so I figgered ya just didn't care for meself. Witch is just find.

Emylou- Got to see a pic of the doggy named Charley. You can't name a standard Poodle Charles, or he'll hump every neighbors leg, making you very unpopular. I can't stand the thaught that they debarked him, that's what dogs do and, if you live in a hood like mine, that's what you need them to do. And, I'd hate to see you un poplar. Trees are impotent.

He really does suit the name "Charles", I must say. He was already named "Charlie" by some cruel, irresponsible, apartment-dwelling pet owner. We decided that he is quite regal and classy, even through the skinniness and barklessness.........so he's Charles.

Actually, as JJack suggested, Charles Barkless.:lol:

When my DD was in first grade, she did poorly on a test. It showed a woman vacuuming and she had to tell what the woman was doing. She couldn't. We had an all tile floor house -I did not own a vacuum cleaner. I went to the school and protested. She changed the score.

Years later---I went to a Phsycologist and took a test. It showed that I should be a nurse or a teacher. I was majoring in biology and I wanted to be a Doc. They changed the test.

Not long later. I became the president of the local chapter of NOW. Our local paper had help wanted ads like this:

Help wanted " women" -teachers, housekeepers, nurses, cleaening women, cooks, ect.

Help wanted "men" -doctors, lawyers, ass%$@#s, ceo's.

I arranged a picket line in front of the office of the Freepot Journal Standard. The want adds are much differant now..

One person can make a diff.

I'm not above startin dasturdly rumours. In fact, I'm below it. You guys aughta know by now, that I'm ghastly stupid, and can't grasp the most rudimentaray thoughts. It's the Irish-Rushn-Jewish background. Thats why I crave potatoe latkes with a side of beets. But, the beets got to be way off to the side because I hate them. I think I'll retire. Gad, October 1st. We really only had a month-long summer, here. So much bloody rain and yuck, and then finally September was beeoootiful.

Help wanted "men" -doctors, lawyers, ass%$@#s, ceo's.

That is quite a position, that of jerk... .. though I must say, in the past few years I have come across the odd woman who has shattered the glass ceiling and reached this rank ... ....... . .. <_<

elye Community Regular

Hey, that's interesting. . . ...... . my typed word "a$$hole" in the last post (which I typed normally) was edited to read "jerk", but Slewzhinkia's typed-out word "a$$hole" in her post beforehand was left alone. What's goin' on wif you, Slew?.....You got some special, clandestine status that quietly exempts you from the automatic filtering and language editing in place here at c.com?.... . . .. . .. .....all right, guys. . ......may have to keep an eye on this one.. . . ...special privileges, several different nationalities and stream-of consciousness voices.... . ... . .

Is it because of the "s" at the end?

I wonder why that would make a difference

Help wanted "men" -doctors, lawyers, ass%$@#s, ...

Is there not some redundancy in here?

Clay, having worked under several women who managed to break the glass ceiling, thinks they all belong in the category of jerks, and would add some choice other adjectives. Having heard some of the stories I would say that in his case he was not entirely wrong and not merely chafing under the female yoke. Public service, affirmative action, the cream does not necessarily rise to the top, only the beotches

'Tis simple scy-ance methinks. Stir up the bottle.....while the dirty sediment slowly sinks to the bottom.....the greasy, featherwate scum drifts up to the top. All the good little molecules do the work to hold them up and continue on doing what good little molecules do :P Scene it over and over in many different types of bottles. There is no "real" gender difference in featherwate skum.....only appears that way on the outside.

I like this anology, T :D Yes, in many diffetrent bottles ;)

Sills--on a decidedly more phrivolous note...... :P

Every time I see the new Fisher Price commercial for "Sillytown" (a toy for infants) I giggle

Your DGP-G is also high. The thing to do now would be to trial the gluten-free diet for a few months to see if there is improvement in symptoms.

Welcome to the forum, @Roses8721! How long were you off gluten before getting the celiac blood testing done? The testing is not valid after having been gluten free for a significant period of time. Many of your symptoms align with celiac disease.

Hello, I am feeling frustrated. I have hEDS and lifelong digestive issues but my GI PA is very focused on my celiac panel and I just want to make sure that she should be focused on that because completely changing my diet seems to have worsened my symptoms.  Symptoms are constipation, diarrhea, and acid reflux with spicy foods and certain foods like tomatoes, bell peppers, and onions. I also don't have a gallbaldder as it was removed almost a year ago. This also exacerbated my symptoms. I did have joint pain from hEDS but that was already treated with low dose naltrexone about 4 months prior to going completely gluten free. Endoscopy was abnormal but inconclusive; basically showed some inflammation - which common with hEDS. I don't have any vitamin deficiency.   Celiac Panel Results: TTG-A <0.5 U/ML Reference Range: 0.5-14.9 U/ML NEGATIVE: <15 POSITIVE: =>15 DGP-A 72.0 U/ML Reference Range: 0.2-14.9 U/ML NEGATIVE: <15 POSITIVE: =>15 TTG-G <0.8 U/ML Reference Range: 0.8-14.9 U/ML NEGATIVE: <15 POSITIVE: =>15 DGP-G 24.0 U/ML Reference Range: 0.4-14.9 U/ML NEGATIVE: <15 POSITIVE: =>15 IgG-A-M Results: IMMUNOGLOBULIN A, QN, SERUM 165 MG/DL Reference Range: 87-352 MG/DL IMMUNOGLOBULIN M, QN, SERUM 164 MG/DL Reference Range: 26-217 MG/DL   What are your thoughts, internet? Are there any questions I should be asking the PA? Thanks!

Help. I’m spiraling. Years of extensive symptoms:  What could this be? Years of: Mildly elevated alk and alt Fatty liver Random days of feeling like I’m coming down w flu but no fever and nobody else in house sick Intermittent diarrhea Severe abdominal distension Long history of cavities and enamel deficiency Sound sensitivity Anxiety and depression Low libido Sun skin allergy Frequent fatigue ended up seeing PCP because I looked 8 mo preg. Started gluten-free diet then celiac serology negative. SW GI Dr dx me w celiac as I had been in bed for 3 days after eating gluten after cutting. GI said not to do biopsy because it was clear what was going on and added to chart. My spiral is not seeing anywhere this is done and want to see if anyone else has dealt w this. If not celiac idk what else I will do. Family history or celiac as well as a death related to this.
