Wow! Too bad its not gluten-free. It even says its not gluten-free on the website.

Peter's cartoon reminds me of J going to a robotics competition with the robots , motors, batteries, wires packed in the checked suitcase. On top, he put a printout of the event and a list of what the parts were in case it got chosen to be inspected.

Egad, I don't think this thread has ever gone so long without a post! Just over 50 hours!

In a rare event, I worked on a Sunday today. Now I am home and it is time to make pizza. Yum! Yum!

Hello Dear Psillies,

Just dropping in to say a quick hello. My back's been bad so it's been difficult to sit at the computer. Also spending a lot of my time (and $) going to see specialists now that I finally saw my FP. I had two pre-cancerous polyps removed during my colonoscopy and my ccl and leucocyte levels were off so I have to see an oncologist. I remain ever the optimist that they'll figure out what is wrong with me in time for me to enjoy the beaches once we get out of this horrible winter.

Clark already had a successful job interview. He would be working in NJ so he'd take a small apartment there for the weekdays and come home Friday afternoon through Sunday evening. He's also going to try to get Tony an unpaid internship there for the summer if possible. It's not a done deal yet but he met with the VP yesterday at 4PM and didn't get home until 8:30. He's feeling confident that he has a skill set that is unique and it's good to see him feel this way. I knew he was great at his job but he lost sight of it. In the long run Pfizer did him a favor.

I see a Spine and pain management doctor tomorrow and will keep you posted. I miss you all but have been following the thread quietly.

Love & Hugs,

Loey wub.gif

Hey guys!! Real life CSI!!

My sister who is widowed was recently burgled and had her house trashed while she was away on vacation (she lives up a right-of-way on a back section). Her neighbor in front observed suspicious activity on her driveway and confronted a woman who said some kind of funky story about having broken up with her boyfriend and being upset. Neighbor though he saw someone else go up driveway and called police. They didn't come :( Neighbor saw a car go up her driveway and called police again - they didn't have a car available at ll:30 p.m. Next day neighbor checks after work, front door wide open, brick thrown through back window, and all her personal stuff gone, pictures, photos, china, electronics, some furniture, all drawers tossed onto floor, awful mess. Neighbor calls her daughter who calls sis who comes back from vacation. Amongst debris she finds a bandanna! (with dandruff on it!!). Police phinally come next day and we say yeah, what's the use now?

Just got an email from sis - they got DNA off bandanna, matches a female crim who has been positively identified by neighbor down front and they are issuing search warrant!! WOOHOO!! Don't know if she'll get anything back, but they got the beotch who spread mayonnaise and coffee grounds all over her kitchen and dining room. Hubs only just purchased a replacement hifi system for her on TradeMe last night, so kinda hope they don't ;) find that, but it would be nice to get the personal stuff back, "her life".

Hello everyone. I am Elena and am 38 years old. I suspect I have a gluten intolerance even if my celiac panel is ok. I have the following symptoms : facial flushing, Red dots not bumps în face, bloating abdominal distension, hair loss, depression anxiety even with meds and even bipolar. Fatigue extreme to the point of not being able to work. All of these after I eat gluten. Could I have non celiac gluten sensitivity? Thanks anyone else with these symptoms?

Hi Everyone,  I do appreciate your replies to my original post.   Here is where I am now in this journey.  I am currently seeing a Naturopath.  One thing I did not post before is that I take Esomeprazole for GERD.  My Naturopath believes that the decrease in the gastric acid has allowed the yeast to grow.    She has put me on some digestive enzymes.  She also put me on Zinc, Selenium, B 12, as she felt that I was not absorbing my vitamins. I am about 5 weeks into this treatment, and I am feeling better. I did not have any trouble taking the Fluconazole.

I'm sure it's chemically perfect. Most of them taste lousy!

Hi @JulieRe.  I just found your post.  It seems that I am also experiencing thrush, and my doctor believes that I have fungal overgrowth in my gut, which is most likely candida.  I'm seeing my GI doctor next week, so I'm hoping she can diagnose and confirm this and then give me an antifungal treatment.  In the meantime, I have been working with a functional medicine doctor, doing a candida cleanse and taking vitamins. It's already helping to make me feel better (with some ups and downs, of course), so I do think the yeast is definitely a problem for me on top of my celiac disease and I'm hoping my GI doctor can look into this a bit further.  So, how about you?  Did the candida come back, or is it still gone following your fluconazole treatment?  Also, was it awful to take fluconazole?  I understand that taking an antifungal can cause a reaction that sometimes makes people feel sick while they're taking it.  I hope you're doing better still !

I'm so sorry you're going through this—the "gluten challenge" is notoriously brutal, and it's awful to deliberately make yourself sick when you've already found the answer. For the joint pain, many people find that over-the-counter anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen can help take the edge off, and using heating pads or warm baths can provide some direct relief for the aches. For the digestive misery, stick to simple, easy-to-digest foods (like plain rice, bananas, and bone broth) and drink plenty of water and electrolytes to stay hydrated. It feels like the longest month ever, but you are doing the right thing to get a clear diagnosis, which can be crucial for your long-term health and getting the proper care. Hang in there; you can get through this! This article, and the comments below it, may be helpful:
