I have had FIVE glasses of chardonnay since 6 pm. Quite an evening. . . ..the first part of which was spent riveted to the big screen at my mom's retirement residence, in the fireside lounge, watching the Belmont Stakes. What a race! And what an audience...All of these ninety year-olds yelling and shouting, leaping up and down, rooting for their prospective horses, clutching their chests. . . . .. .gawd.. . . had my first three glasses there.. .. .

Annnnnd a couple o' glasses later, here I am.... . ...

Hmmm.. . . nothing to drunkenly add to the divorce discussion..... . . .think I would be very bad at it. I seem to do marriage well.....

Man, especially after all this wine... . . . .

Celebration is over, kids are in bed . . . Smackl kicked butt today and I'm a proud (and tired) Momma.

Is there still wine? Or I am too late to the (?) party? It's been raining all day and I'm demoralized/restless as my plans had involved lots of garden time, which did not happen.

Hi, Lisa! How terrific to read you on here . . ....! :)

Celebration is over, kids are in bed . . . Smackl kicked butt today and I'm a proud (and tired) Momma.

YAY, Smackl! :)B)

Is there still wine? Or I am too late to the (?) party? It's been raining all day and I'm demoralized/restless as my plans had involved lots of garden time, which did not happen.

Greetings, sb2178! . . ....Sounds like a terribly important, clandestine Code Moniker. .. .. ...are you a spy from another organized forum? . .. . . ... .

Woot! A soggy gardener has joined us! I've moved on to coffee and peanut butter cookies before heading out for a walk.

Sounds good! Coop & I will be right over. He prefers water.

Soggy gardener is now a soggy runner, who needs a shower followed by tea and cookies!

(my secret moniker... hmmm... dare I reveal the prosaic fact that was the e-mail assigned by my undergrad? I can remember it, and it's never taken as a username.)

Emily, btw, I love your dog pic. I grew up with standard poodles and am very fond of them.

Extra cookies for him? And no slippery floors?

How will he handle all the farms full of animals on the walk?

He ususally ignores them or wags his tail at other animals. He has been trying to be friends with the rabbits this week. He doesn't chase, just trots slowly with tail wagging - head down. Got excited when Foxy was in the yard- seemed to think she was a dog here to play.

Sounds like you had your shower whilst running!

One of my kids uses his HS id number for passwords cause its easy to remember.

Excellent. We'll be greeting llamas, chickens, a donkey or two, couple cows, some horses, lots of slugs, and a few dogs taking their owners out for a run.

Love seeing the runner dogs. At the beginning they're all excited and happy to be going out, and when you pass them again at the end of their run heads are down, paws dragging, they keep glancing up at dad with that "you can't be serious" look as they try to calculate how much farther it is to home.

Hmmmmmmm........I'm not so sure about that. I can still understand her.

Flash mob was more like a flash 'group' , but that's OK. It was fun. We continued to dance throughout the afternoon for 3 hours. Only problem was that we were directly under a skylight. Lots of sweaty bodys. Nothing like being spun around, hair flying, only to have it come back into your own face with someone elses sweat on it <_<

Hey! Great workout, Leeeesargh! Something you love to do, and your heart rate's way up - - superb. What a fun way to exchange sweat!

All right, sb2178.. . . . ...the unofficial edict around here is that we need your real name, or a close proximity, so that we can rightly butcher it and make it psilly. Kherrighnne, Jyaghnutt, Jyesssss, Low, leeeesargh, Gnick, Soooooozle, etc.

Suppose we could just sillify your forum name, but it somehow isn't quite as funny.

Nope. Need yer real name.. . ...

One of my kids uses his HS id number for passwords cause its easy to remember.

I used to use my bra size, but through the years I kept having to change it, so I gave up on that approach. . . .....as I recall, twenty years ago I was known as 34dd... . . ..after both my kids were born I had to change it to 36c.. . . ....crap, I HATE my password now that I'm into my forties. <_<

Dear gawd, would LOVE this. Big poodles just go. And go. And go. I run, they run. I keep running. They're running. I finish 5k. Their look is more, "you can't be serious -- that's it??"

Hmmmmmmm........I'm not so sure about that. I can still understand her.

 Yes...I was hoping for a few drunken Jyessss postings.. .. . .

This is so true! We also need a name for Glutenfreemanna. If they do not care to share a first name choice, I, the Psilly Queen, will be happy to bestow names upon them.

Taking suggestions....

I'm assuming both are females so:

Eunice

Moon Unit

Gaga

Wido

Latrine

So true. Although, when babysitting kids of people with large energetic dogs, it was always helpful hearing that they'd had the dog out for a 10 mile run!

One of these days I'll challenge my keyboard hogging cat with a running dog... She'd have no problem keeping a pup in line.

How magnanimous of you to make suggestions. If you must have a name besides Manna, y'all can call me Irene. Will that one be sufficient butchering material? :D

I'm sure they can. Have you seen the ways they mangle "Karen"?

I though perhaps your name was pronounced differently than the standard "Karen". With the g added I had made it "Car-Eng-Gee" said really fast in my mind.

Wow Im a tea drinker and didn't know, perhaps this is why im having issues with my ghost disease.

She used to take supplements, but her abdominal pain is so debilitating that she hasn't been able to continue.  Her primary care team has been suggesting liquid supplements rather than pill form to help.  They just drew a lot of blood Friday and we are slowly getting all that work back.  I will definitely check into thiamine!  Thanks!

They have not done that yet.   We are looking at some other treatments to help. And you are correct.  The tickborne illness has been a wild ride.  Our whole family has been battling different tickborne illnesses.  Its expensive and exhausting.

I cannot tolerate it at all - triggers burning and nausea, ditto aspirin.  Here in the UK I take Paracetamol.

For back pain, I take a combination of Cobalamine B12, Pyridoxine B 6, and Thiamine B 1 (in the form Benfotiamine), which have an analgesic effect.  These three B vitamins together work way better than those over the counter pain relievers.  Theses are water soluble B vitamins that are easily excreted via the kidneys if not needed.  Thiamine will also help the nausea. Interesting Reading... Mechanisms of action of vitamin B1 (thiamine), B6 (pyridoxine), and B12 (cobalamin) in pain: a narrative review https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35156556/#:~:text=Some of these processes include,Analgesics
