Might work better to make his brother wear them. Or just hold them up?

whatever.

:o :o Cool!

Sooo......you'll be putting the shorts on the dog so they are properly modeled for the camera....?

Here is Cooper modelling the shorts. After the second pair he refused to continue. Some nonsense about no proper hole for his tail. :D

UGH! back from the best weekend I've had in a veeeeeeeery long time and now I'm in full denial that I'm throwing a partay at my house this weekend. Annnnnnd the inlaws are coming to stay. At least I'll have my dd back. She's been 400 miles away with said inlaws having the time of her life. I told her she's going to get super constipated and scream and cry the next time she has to take a poo, but go ahead and have another flippin soda, some more candy and go to bed at midnight. Hope the MIL can handle what's gonna happen  Bad enough that the day we dropped her off we fed her lunch at 1230 and they didn't feed her again until 830 that night. Seriously?? She was crying bc her stomach hurt so bad. I told the MIL that the kids normally eat every 3 hours or so and I always keep snacks with me. I think she learned her lesson on that one! On the bright side, I've been having a wonderful time with Max, trying to make up for the fact that his sister is away having all the fun and he's stuck here with me, except I still make him eat healthy food with a milkshake or icecream bar thrown in there once a day :P Tonight I make 3 different kinds of cookie dough AND a cherry ameretto cake for him to try ;)

I do wish I had a picture of yesterday though.... He went rollerskating and he can't skate worth beans, so they have these little walkers for them to use. Soooooo cute and funny!

Getting really scared here. It appears we're right in the path of Irene (I may just have to change my name after this storm!). They are comparing this storm to Katrina, eek! My city just issued mandatory evacuations for everyone in low lying areas. we just moved here and I can't figure out if I'm in a low lying area from the storm surge maps. My area is in the "unstudied" part of the map. Hubby has to work on friday and is on call on Saturady so we can't leave the area. Might be going to a shelter or hotel though. I will try to keep y'all updated but if I don't either we went to a shelter or lost power. Prayers appreciated please.

Oh no, Non-hurricane Irene ( your new name)! Pack up enough of your food for a week and then some. Good luck!

Could go to the in-laws. Take a trailer full of essentials to share!

LOL! I'd rather ride out the storm! I'm well stocked on food and water. Couldn't get the batteries I needed though so we will be using candles if the power goes out at night.

LOL! I wish I could sleep, but I can't sleep when it storms for some reason. I love to watch it rain but I just can't go to sleep. Guess I will have to use that as an excuse to cuddle with hubby. :D

I think hijacking another thread is like flash dancing.

1. Frequently

2. Rarely

3. Never, ever, under no circumstances

4. I hate polls; why did you ask this question??

Trying to post some lovely cocktails but I think the iPad has drunk them. Weird things are happening, now. The forum is shrinking and stretching . May have to wait for it to sleep it off.

For back pain, I take a combination of Cobalamine B12, Pyridoxine B 6, and Thiamine B 1 (in the form Benfotiamine), which have an analgesic effect.  These three B vitamins together work way better than those over the counter pain relievers.  Theses are water soluble B vitamins that are easily excreted via the kidneys if not needed.  Thiamine will also help the nausea. Mechanisms of action of vitamin B1 (thiamine), B6 (pyridoxine), and B12 (cobalamin) in pain: a narrative review https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35156556/#:~:text=Some of these processes include,Analgesics

@stephaniekl, welcome to the forum, Is your daughter taking any nutritional supplements?   Weight loss and failure to thrive are two symptoms of thiamine insufficiency.  Thiamine deficiency symptoms are not recognized as such by doctors.   I experienced similar symptoms when I became malnourished.  Thiamine deficiency symptoms can become worse quickly, and can affect one emotionally and mentally.  Although blood tests for thiamine aren't accurate, do have your daughter checked for nutritional deficiencies.  Thiamine B 1 works with the other B vitamins and magnesium.  Thiamine and Niacin B 3 help improve Gerd.  All the B vitamins are frequently low due to malabsorption.  Vitamin D will help calm the immune system.  Thiamine helps the immune system fight off viruses like those tick borne illnesses.   Thiamine Mononitrate, which is in many vitamin supplements, is not bioavailable.  I was taking a multivitamin containing thiamine mononitrate and still became deficient in thiamine. Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine has been shown to promote intestinal healing.  A form called TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) is also excellent for correcting thiamine deficiency.  A combination of Thiamine, Cobalamine B12, and Pyridoxine B 6 has analgesic properties.  I take it for back pain.   Keep us posted on your progress! Interesting Reading... The importance of thiamine (vitamin B1) in humans https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10568373/#:~:text=Thiamine absorption in the jejunum, system [51–53].

Has prednisone or some other systemic steroid been tried that might quiet her immune system down for a while? I have two acquaintances with Lyme's disease. It is a wicked condition that has long fingers.

We have.  She is so limited as to what she can eat.  She has a nutritionist, but they are even at a loss.  Right now, her pain is so significant that she can only eat 5-10 bites a meal.   We just got some labs back today and she is hypoglycemia, anemic and her immune system is shot.  She also is positive for 3 tickborne illnesses.  Thanks for your help!

A much better suggestion than that of the new doctor!
