I think it's so cute that Brits refer to redheads as ginger people. I really think I was born in the wrong country! If it's English (Irish, Scottish or Welsh) I LOVE IT!

But yeah.....

Steak and A bJ Day huh? Boy, us girls are gonna have us some NICE Valentine's Days!!!!

I'm back. I'm not so silly, I just got fired today. They've been working their way through pretty much everyone the guests like and replacing them with cheaper versions after harassing them into insanity. They put me through hell the past two weeks trying to come up with an excuse to fire me. I actually feel relieved. My boyfriend's happy I'm not going to be so upset all the time anymore.

Nikkles, I like ginger!!! My skin's generally quite pale, but I am also VERY yellow, you have to put me next to someone else to see it because I'm so pale, but with the yellow skin it did NOT work out that time I tried to dye my hair red..... Oddly, I can wear red clothing very well..... huh.

Anyway! Sorry I haven't been around lately, much drama and tiredness. I will try to bring the silly.

Bunnie--ugh, so sorry about this. Too much of this kind of thing happening nowadays.....I predict you will come out of this with an even better job when all is said and done. :)

My hair is looking a bit "ginger-y" as of late, too. I tried to tone down the brassiness caused by the relaxer, used light ash brown and voila--browish-ginger. Especially in the sun.....I kinda like it B)

A pserious query fer all psyllies who Sven--does anyone else get insomnia when they work out in the evening? Not doing that again anytime soon...... <_<

Yes . . . this is why I avoid svenning at all costs . . . no matter what time of day . . . that's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :P

Bun-knee!!! How heinous!!! It sounds like a good place to NOT be working at anymore!! I hope something comes along soon . . . that is, if you want something to come along soon. You might just want to put yer feet up and relax a bit.

Y'know, I've been stressing about money without a job and I realized that it's not like I've been making that much AT my job, they've cut my hours so much it's half a normal paycheck, so I might as well relax now that I'll probably be on unemployment. I'm hoping to go work at Whole Foods. I love it there. I already started applications the other day, the writing on the wall was pretty clear when I was given twice the work of my coworker and the same deadline. Not to mention the blatant hostility..... I thought I was a nice person, you know?

Yes, that happens to me. I never work out within four hours of bedtime. When I actually work out....

Good to know I'm not alone--I finally got to sleep shortly after Mark's alarm went off at 5AM. <yawn>

Paghteeigh, I canna meet Sven after supper -- even if it's a long time before bedtime. It is a guaranteed ticket to lying there, staring-at-the-ceiling-till-three-am. Actually, so would that new April holiday idea, methinks. .. . .. . ..well, at the mattress, methinks. . . . ..... <_<

Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.

Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-Free.

Hi all  I was diagnosed Coeliac a few years ago and follow a gluten free diet. The list of foods that I can eat without a problem grows shorter on a weekly basis. [I also have diabetes and asthma also].  BUT the reason I am posting this is because I seem to struggle with nausea quite a lot, which is really quite debilitating, and I was wondering if others suffer from nausea, even if following a gluten free diet.

@fatjacksonthecat I have been doing some digging about the topic of nicotine and celiac.  I came across many studies that showed that the nicotine patch helped many with long covid and chronic fatigue syndrome.  I have a son who was diagnosed with celiac and his symptoms are severe when he is glutened.  He shows a lot of neurological inflammation and suffered with fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety and insomnia. There have been studies revealing that nicotine smoke actually masking celiac symptoms.  I also read that microdosing with a nictoine patch prevents one from addiction.  We are currently trying this out and so far it has lifted the brain fog and helped with anxiety and mood.  One of the studies I have read showed that it's not so much the dose, but the length of time a person is on the patch that showed improvements.  Many showed significant improvement as early as week 3 and continued through week 12.  We are taking 3 day breaks in between to make sure we don't down regulate the nicotine receptors.   How have things been for you?  Are you still chewing nicotine gum?  Perhaps, try the patch?  And how long did it take to ease up on your symptoms when glutened?

Hi @KathyR37 and a very warm welcome here.  I am so very sorry that you are going through all of this. I just wanted to check, have you ever been tested for any other gastrointestinal conditions? Cristiana
