Dinner with blue eyes tonight. I've also been corresponding with a lovely young man......who was born the year I graduated from high school.... I'm not sure I be willing to meet him for coffee. I think the giant barbell through his nose would be distracting :blink:

Good news/bad news--I have a zit inside my nose....doesn't show but hurts like heck :angry:

Waiting fer me new bed to be delivered this morning :D The big phour-poster would eat up the bedroom here, so I found the prettiest antiqued matte finished brass iron bed wif glass finials. :wub:

That was the second. I'll keep you posted if there's a third. I'm also still conversing with barbell boy. He's very nice, but it seems so wrong to encourage him, so I imagine my messages are a little stilted. And it's entertaining to be discussing my considering a second career when he hasn't even really started his first. :P

Had a friend age 55. She had a boyfriend age 35. Worked well for a couple of years until he wanted to get married and have a kid. He thought she was about 40!

This preteen girl thing is gonna kick my arse. That kid o' mine is gonna be the death of me!! Such a good kid, really... But when she loses it-WATCH OUT!!! :blink:

Will preface this with: no humans or other living beings harmed.

Gads!! So glad everyone was OK!! Similar situation happened to me after a HS basketball game, except it involved a drunk driver and the gal he hit was killed instantly. I was the first car on the scene :(

I HATE these!! And you can't tell yer kids not to pick their nose and then have them see you wif your finger up there trying to pop the damn thing cuz it hurts so bad when you talk or breathe :huh::lol: Of course, I'm not referring to myself... Don't know what I was talking about really.... :lol::lol:

The kids were hungry and like this soup place at the shopping area. (soup?) Maddie got her soup & everyone went to sit down but Max & me. When Max got his soup he was spinning the bowl around and doing tricks with it. I said, "You'll spill it." He said, " I do this all the time." Then I woke up. Probably right before a horrible soup accident! :P

Dreams are strange. Wonder what the interpetation of this is?

Maddie loves soup, (I made some for dinner last night) and Max phrequently tries to do tricks wif various dishes and utensils and usually a mess ensues, plus he never listens, so if you tell him he's gonna make a mess, he'll try to prove you wrong! :rolleyes::P

Well, ya can at least unlatch the barbell when you're tired of it.

Um, why do zits in one's nose hurt so much? I've never really felt the zits on my chin or forehead. What is up with that? 'Tis a question that is bound to bother me all day, now... :rolleyes:

I think I dreamed about potato soup because I was thinking I needed to make some soon. Probably dreamed about Max cause I see his pic on FB. Dish tricks are things little boys do.

Her favorite soup isn't potato is it? That would be really spooky.

Its hard on FB because I feel I have to be brief. I know girls are different than boys but I think some things translate. About 3rd or 4th grade, my kids wanted more say in thier lives. Like take a shower at night or in morning. Bedtime, clothes, activitites. Some things are just the rule - shower after soccer practice -no waiting until morning. If they stay up too late, I'm not letting them sleep in if they need to be somewhere (some parents let the kids be late for school). By now they know & I don't have to bug them about it. I also don't sweat the small stuff. This may be hard for you, I think you are neater than I am. I bought nice bath towels for them. They prefer the beach towels. Fine. They have to do their own laundry because their emergency (no underwear for tomorrow) is not my emergency.

You can be mad and tell me your mad but you must be respectful. Go to your room or for a walk until you cool down. This is where a dog is helpful. They listen and can be hugged & cried on.

      Be interesting to see the effects of dairy reintroduction with gluten. As well as milk protein sensitivity in and of itself the casein part particularly has been shown to mimic gluten in about 50% of celiacs. Keep us posted!

      She has been dairy free for six years, so she’d already been dairy free for two years at her last testing and was dairy free for the entire gluten challenge this year as well (that had positive results). However, now that we’re doing another biopsy in six weeks, we decided to do everything we can to try to “see” the effects, so we decided this past week to add back in dairy temporarily for breakfast (milk and cereal combo like you said).

      Hi Christiana, Many thanks for your response.  Interestingly, I too cannot eat wheat in France without feeling effects (much less than in the US, but won't indulge nonetheless).  I also understand children are screened for celiac in Italy prior to starting their education. Wise idea as it seems my grandson has the beginning symptoms (several celiacs in his dad's family), but parents continue to think he's just being difficult.  Argh.  There's a test I took that diagnosed gluten sensitivity in 2014 via Entero Labs, and am planning on having done again.  Truth be told, I'm hoping it's the bromine/additives/preservatives as I miss breads and pastas terribly when home here in the states!  Be well and here's to our guts healing ❤️

      Lol that’s so true! Hope you get clarity, it’s tough when there’s doubt. There’s so much known about celiac disease with all the scientific research that’s been done so far yet practically and clinically there’s also so much unknown, still. Out of curiosity what’s her dairy consumption like? Even compared to early years to now? Has that changed? Calcium is dependent in the mechanism of antigen presenting cells in the gut. High calcium foods with gluten grains can initiate inflammation greater.  This is why breakfast cereals and milk combo long term can be a ticking time bomb for genetically susceptible celiacs (not a scientific statement by any means but my current personal opinion based on reasoning at present). Milk and wheat are the top culprits for food sensitivity. Especially in childhood. There are also patient cases of antibodies normalising in celiac children who had milk protein intolerance/ delayed type allergy. Some asymptomatic. There were a couple of cases of suspected celiacs that turned out to have milk protein intolerance that normalised antibodies on a gluten containing diet. Then there were others that only normalised antibodies once gluten and milk was eliminated. Milk kept the antibodies positive. Celiac disease is complicated to say the least.

      And thank you for your encouragement. I am glad that her body is doing a good job fighting it. I also just want clarity for her moving forwards. She was only 6 for the last round of testing and she's 10 now, so I'm also hoping that makes a difference. It was weird during her last round of testing though, because right before her biopsy, we'd upped her gluten intake by giving her biscuits made from straight up vital wheat gluten, and her labs actually normalized slightly (lower ttg and her ema went negative). Bodies just do weird things sometimes! lol
