Well... I'm sick of being sick. I've been having gluten type symptoms for 10 days straight now. When it started, I thought it was cc from Micky D's... but I don't think it would last so long if that was it, so at this point I don't know what's making me sick. Diarrhea, evil stomach pain... the fatigue is overwhelming today.

I've been trying like hell to push through it, because I've been sick so much this year... my yard and gardens are a shameful mess. So I've been busting some butt on yard cleanup. Between the diarrhea and the heat, I got myself good and dehydrated Thursday. Stupid.

Trying to take a rest day today. Unfortunately, Ezra is having a "BAD DAY." And I'm low on patience today. Sigh.

I have gotten a lot of work done outside though, which is very heartening!

Could it be something that you eat often that has changed--like in the manufacturing process? I've had gluten symptoms for a couple months now....I discovered that those nuts that got me (which had been fine) were now being processed on shared lines with wheat. Not all companies will list this.

To be fair, Diamond did list it, but I never checked since it had been fine before.

This stuff is so frustrating sometimes, Sarah--I hope you get it figured out before too long.

Argh....poor Gus--hope it's just a passing upset. The other day, Allo was looking out the door and I heard the telltale whine and then he puked right there. I went to clean it up--and do you think he'd move? No, he just continued to watch the outdoors whilst I cleaned up around him

This reminds me of an interesting thing that two or three vets have told me over the years...... when you are housetraining a puppy, it is very important NOT TO LET the pup see you cleaning up one of its messes, as its mother did this and the pup gets comfort from seeing this again. So perhaps Allo is comforted by your motherly cleaning of his soiled area, Patti.........

Hee--My little sister, who is really one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, has this habit of laughing whenever anyone trips or falls. It's like a nervous habit--she doesn't really think it's phunny, she just automatically laughs.

It is my birthday celebration at work today, they made me gluten free strawberry cupcakes which were very good! Plus we just had lunch ordered in and it was good. But where we ate was cold I am freezing now! SO I am bundled up in my lab coat.

I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying the Olympics. Last night's relay was sooooooooo amazing, I was yelling, no screaming at the tv, jumping up and down, laughing, crying, what an incredible moment to witness!!!

I also had a Sillies moment on Sat I think it was, I was watching the game between Japan and Misty May/Kerri Walsh and when the ball is not in play they always blast music at these beach volleyball venues, so anyway one of the songs that came on was the Baywatch theme song. And what did I immediately think of?? ................Me Sillies and The Hoff of course

Since Bubba dug out her equestrian photo I should try to dig up some old swimming photos for my avatar, we all should put up our own "olympic" avatars just for shytes and gigglez

Phorgot to tell you--we went to Wegman's Saturday. Made the trek to Warminster because I can't get my Enrico's No Salt Added gluten-free Pasta Sauce anywhere around here.

But.....they're currently building a new Wegman's in Collegeville, which is easily not more than 20 minutes from here!!! I'll be able to go every week!

The song that the orchestra played as the Titanic was sinking, and eventually slipped under, was "Nearer My God to Thee"....this is far too dirgey and churchish for Jack to get going around a big campfire, he has realized. So, he says he will start singing Madonna's songs (the singer, not the Virgin). he also loves Abba, but is wise enough to know that an eleven year-old boy belting out "Does Your Mother Know" is very uncool and worthy of merciless teasing. He's learned all this the hard way, I'm sad to say....... . ..

Perhaps he'll just start throwing out some of his baffling questions for them all to consider while staring into the flames........

Yes!! This is a terrific spectator sport. Patti and Mark entered this Olympic competition as a pair, and won a gold medal.
