Welcome Aim301!!! I see you got an answer to your question. I usually order the foundation I want to try in three different formulations...there can be slight color variations between the formulations, but of course the final determination is whether it makes my skin look oily, lol. I've ordered about 6 sample kits I think.

. . . and just whose job is it at that company to come up with names like "spin cycle", "waffle cone", "gold medal", "dust bunnies", "lint trap", etc??

 !

More for the list:

Dirty Windows (an opague pearlescent brown)

Tub Ring (a nice charcoal gray)

And why not:

Wet sponge (an oil absorbing powder)

I wouldn't have though of laundry soap. It doesn't leave any residue on the brushes? Is it a liquid?

Here's the verdict: this morning, my brushes felt super soft and clean. It was, probably, the best they've felt since I bought them.

Just wanted to report my experiment with the Silk Dust (I have the Tinted Silk Dust).

I applied a layer of silk dust first under my foundation, then foundation on top of that, and another layer of silk dust to set everything after that. It yielded a very nice result.

I even got a compliment on how nice my skin looked, so I figured I must have stumbled onto something with this technique

Good job Julie!!!

By-the-way everyone, Bronze Medal does look pretty good as a blush...not very bold, but a subtle bronzing.

Ahhh, so many new colors!!! I was pleased to see that I already had 3 of the new blushes, thanks to the specials, all of which I love. I was sad to see that most of the new eye colors were matte, because I don't care for matte shadows, but I did order Eco-friendly, Jasmine Tea and Laptop. I also got Floating Feathers, and Girl's Day and Wake Up Call in anticipation of using them as shadows......I like very intense colors on my eyes, and I'm looking for a more reddish-pink shadow, which they don't seem to have, so we'll see! I also ordered the Start To Finish Rice Powder in Sunlight, since I can't get Silk Dust anymore, I hope it doesn't make me break out like the Finishing Dust does.

Back to school today, thank goodness! It's s quiet with just me and my little guy.....my oldest started middle school today, and my other two are back to their old school...such an exciting day, and I might have time to play with my makeup! LOLOL

dlp252 Apprentice

New colors?! Sheesh, I'm falling down on the job...I didn't even know there were new colors.

From the last batch I ordered...

The free eye shadow Gold Medal was a hit with me, and Homework blush was great. This morning I'm wearing the raspberry blush and it's pretty nice as well.

Maybe I'll go over there now and see what's new.

Okay, I just HAD to put in an order, lol. I LOVE that they have the little "new" tags on some of the new products.

So I ordered all the new blushes and two of the new concealors in a personal mini kit.

Then ordered samples of three of the newer eyeshadows.

And, annother eye kabuki brush so I could get the free eyeshadow, lol.

HeartofGlass224 Rookie

LOL Donna! I love the Homework blush!

From the website:

We know you will be thrilled when you see the results. We will keep you posted!

A few months ago, I was diagnosed with Celiac's disease, and have also had a tough time changing my diet, throwing out all of my beloved cosmetics, but am feeling so much better because of it! I came across a line of personal care products and also cosmetics that is completely gluten free. It is also free of sodium lauryl sulfate, aluminum, alcohol, mineral oil, and is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and vegan.

This company is called Cleure. You can find them at www.cleure.com.

Some of my favorites of their products: cinnamon toothpaste, roll-on deodorant, shampoo, nailpolish, lipstick, lip gloss, pressed blush, liquid foundation.. and I could go on and on!

Green12 Enthusiast

New colors?!?!?!

I am going to go check them out right after I post

Shannon and Donna, as always I look forward to hearing your reviews on what you just ordered (I hope they get there in a timely manner  )

"I was sad to see the ?Screaming Lady? on the Custom Kit page go, so I kept her there an extra few hours so we could all say our heartfelt goodbyes. For those that didn?t get to see the Screaming Lady, or ?Bamboo Boo!? (model peaking out from the bamboo), forgive us all for having the pleasure of doing so.

Just wanted to say thanks to Tanika for the beautiful work with your powders, and Walid for the amazing photography. I love how they represented the brand with so much love. We were so happy to have this experience and bring their work to you.

I love the new photos and hope you do too. I am also excited about the New Look Book. It will really be about your contributions! We will have lots of color guessing fun and let everyone show off their own beauty styles

We will have so much more to come, I promise. We are just now starting to heat up, so I can?t wait for what is to come! I have some surprises, but also have learned how to bite my tongue! Ouch!

UPDATE (9/04/08): Thrilled to let everyone know we are shifting to Mini Jars in Sample Kits and Sample Sizes for our one month transition to the New Recyclable Sample Packaging.

Mini Jars will replace sample size containers. In 30 days we will only offer Sample sizes in the New Recyclable Sample Packaging or in Mini Size jars half-filled.

The idea is that instead of tossing sample containers in the trash, you keep the mini jar forever! Our goal is to offer you more of the best, and we feel that during this 30-day transition to the new sample packaging, we can all get a head start!

Keep in mind that sample kits may look a little bit ?interesting? over the next 30-days as we go from sample sizes, to mini jars, to the new packaging ? I just think reusing our makeup jars is a fun and meaningful way we can do something for our families and keep the planet looking good and healthy.

Plus we get to give you so much more!

UPDATE: The new Foundation Launch is underway. September 8th has been rescheduled for 10th at 10:00 pm CST. We will be launching 10 new shades. So 10, on the 10th, at 10 pm

Thanks for everything and making this week so much fun!

We all love you, everyone of us here - THANKS!!!!

Oh no, now I must order stuff. B)

HeartofGlass224 Rookie

I got my order already! What a change from the last time.....

Anyway.....

Eco-Friendly looks to me like mint concealer, but with sparkle. I'm not so sure I like it, but we'll see what happens when I put it on.

Laptop looks likes a darker Diary, so I think that'll be nice, since I wear Diary a lot. A pinkish-brown woth sparkle.

Jasmine Tea is a very light beige, pretty...probably for a highlght color.

I'm not sure about Girl's Day, it looks kind of orange, but I think that Wake Up Call is what I've been looking for as far as a reddish color. It's almost crimson.....very pretty. I think that'll be my first experiement. :P

Green12 Enthusiast

Thanks for your review Shannon :)

I love that they put "NEW" tabs on all the new items, that really helps a lot.

I like the look of the new foundation brush and I want to get the eye kabuki brush.

ALL the new concealers have me ...how do you figure out what does what and what is best for you?

Cheri A Contributor

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I've been in here. Summer flew by so fast, and I didn't wear much makeup, lol.

I guess I'll have to go over to EM and see all the new things there.

Mango04 Enthusiast

Ugh the new 12-item kit is EVIL! I couldn't even decide how to fill a six-item kit. Such big decisions

Just ordered Deep Tan foundation in original glo (hope it's not too dark for me), Everyday Bronzer, Start to Finish Sunlight, Lavender concealer, and the new foundation brush...We'll see what happens!!!! ;)

Hi Ladies,

I've been using Everyday minerals off and on since April but within the last 2 mths. have used it everyday and just love it! :) Cool Medium and Cool Med. Summer seem to be working well and tinted silk dust and email for my blush. I would like to get some eyeshadow and think wildflowers and bundled up for a highlighter may work well. I'm looking for a natural light brown eyeshadow. In looking at their website again baby bath, movie night or spin cycle may be ok too - has anyone used any of these colors including wildflowers and bundled up? Thanks for any info! btw - i love reading this thread - it's how i learned of Everyday minerals! :)

Hi fig girl, glad you popped in the EM thread :)

I have Wild Flowers and absolutely love it, it's one of my favorite colors! I also have Baby Bath, I really like it. It might be exactly what you are looking for, it's a really light natural neutral color.

Just ordered Deep Tan foundation in original glo (hope it's not too dark for me), Everyday Bronzer, Start to Finish Sunlight, Lavender concealer, and the new foundation brush...We'll see what happens!!!! ;)

I think they're using "tan" to refer to far too broad a range of colors. I ordered Deep Tan for my biracial daughter to wear as a concealer, and it's way too dark for her. So then I ordered Intensive Tan Concealer, and it's so light I can almost wear it, and I'm pretty fair; things like Fair Medium and MultiTasking work for me. It's not very helpful to have two such wildly different tones both called "Tan." Tacking the word "Deep" onto one of them doesn't suggest the vast degree of difference there between the two colors.

Fig girl, I also love the Wildflowers eye shadow. I don't wear a lot of eye makeup, but have been using it wet as a liner and really like it. Haven't tried Bundled Up, though.

fig girl Rookie

Thank you Juliem and MNBeth! I really appreciate it! Wildflowers and babybath sound great....maybe i'll order both! :) Is it hard to apply these as eyeliner? I've only used an eyeliner pencil - do you use a special brush? Thanks again!

Hi Fig! I've used spin cycle before and really like it. I've also used WildFlowers but can't remember now what I thought of it, lol.

Hi Donna!

Thank you for your reply! There's so many nice eyeshadow colors that i want to try but i'm thinking do i really need that many!? lol I'm trying to be conservative since i feel like i spend so much money now on gluten-free food....but it's all worth it! I haven't ordered anything yet but may end up getting the eyeshadow sample kit since i can't decide! :P Thanks again!

Up until they added the new colors recently I had all but 3 of the eyeshadows, and NO I don't use them all, lol. I think I only use about 5 regularly that are my favorites.

I think, after reading this, that you areso traumatized by not being able yo understand what your medical advisors have been  what medical conditions are that you would like to find a group of people who also feel traumatized who would agree with you and also support you. You are on a crusade much as the way the US Cabinet  official, the Health Director of our nation is in trying to change what he considers outdated and incorrect health advisories. He does not have the education, background or experience to be in the position he occupies and is not making beneficial decisions. That man suffered a terrible trauma early in his life when his father was assonated. We see now how he developed and worked himself into a powerful position.  Unless you are willing to take some advice or  are willing to use a few of the known methods of starting on a path to better health then not many of us on this Celiac Forum will be able to join you in a continuing series of complaints about medical advisors.    I am almost 90 years old. I am strictly gluten free. I use 2 herbs to help me stay as clear minded as possible. You are not wrong in complaining about medical practitioners. You might be more effective with a clearer mind, less anger and a more comfortable life if you would just try some of the suggestions offered by our fellow celiac volunteers.

Thus has got to STOP , medical bit believing us! I literally went through 31 years thinking it was just a food allergy as its downplayed by medical if THEY weren't the ones who diagnosed us! Im positive for HLA-DQ2 which is first celiac patient per Iran and Turkey. Here in the States especially in Cali its why do you feel that way? Why do you think your celiac? Your not eating gluten so its something else.Medical caused me depression. I thought I was safe with my former pcp for 25 years considering i thought everything I went through and going through will be available when I get fired again for health. Health not write-ups my health always come back when you're better.Im not and being tossed away at no fault to my own other than shitty genes.I was denied disability because person said he didn't know how to classify me! I said Im celiac, i have ibs, hernia, sciatica, high blood pressure, in constant pain have skin and eye issues and menopause intensified everything. With that my celiac nightmare began to reprove my disregarded disease to a bunch of clowns who think they are my careteam when they said I didn't have...I feel Im still breathing so I can fight this so no body else has to deal with this nightmare. Starting over with " new care team" and waisting more time on why I think I am when diagnosed in 1994 before food eliminated from my diet. P.s everything i went through I did write to medical board, so pretty sure I will continue to have a hard time.

@Scatterbrain, Thiamine Vitamin B1 and amino acid Taurine work together.  Our bodies can make Taurine from meats consumed.  Our bodies cannot make Thiamine and must consume thiamine from food.  Meat is the best source of B vitamins like Thiamine.   Vegetarians may not make sufficient taurine since they don't eat meat sources of taurine.  Seaweed is the best vegetarian source of taurine. Vegetarians may not consume sufficient Thiamine since few veggies are good sources.  Whole grains, legumes, and nuts and seeds contain thiamine.  Many of these sources can be hard to digest and absorb for people with Celiac disease.   You may find taking the forms of thiamine called Benfotiamine or TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) and a B Complex will give the benefits you're looking for better than taurine alone.

@Jmartes71, I went to Doterra's site and had a look around.  The Doterra TerraZyme supplement really jumped out at me.  Since we, as Celiacs, often have digestive problems, I looked at the ingredients.  The majority of the enzymes in this supplement are made using black mold, Aspergillus!  Other enzymes are made by yeast Saccharomyces!  Considering the fact that Celiac often have permeable intestines (leaky gut syndrome), I would be very hesitant to take a product like this.  Although there may not be live black mold or yeast in the product, the enzymes may still cause an immune system response which would definitely cause inflammation throughout the body.   Skin, eyes, and intestines are all made from the same basic type of cells.  Your skin on the outside and eyes can reflect how irritated the intestines are on the inside.  Our skin, eyes, and intestines all need the same vitamins and nutrients to be healthy:  Vitamin A, Niacin B3 and Tryptophan, Riboflavin B2, Biotin B7, Vitamin C, and Omega Threes.  Remember that the eight B vitamins work together.  Just taking high doses of just one, vitamin like B12, can cause a deficiency in the others.  Taking high doses of B12 can mask a Folate B9 deficiency.  If you take B12, please take a B Complex, too.  Thiamine B1 can be taken in high doses safely without toxicity.  Thiamine is needed by itself to produce energy so every cell in the body can function, but Thiamine also works with the other B vitamins to make life sustaining enzymes and digestive enzymes.  Deficiencies in either Niacin, Vitamin C, or Thiamine can cause digestive problems resulting in Pellagra, Scurvy, and Gastrointestinal Beriberi.   If you change your diet, you will change your intestinal microbiome.  Following the Autoimmune Protocol Diet, a Paleo diet, will starve out SIBO bacteria.  Thiamine keeps bacteria in check so they don't get out of control as in SIBO.  Thiamine also keeps MOLDS and Yeasts from overgrowth.   Menopause symptoms and menstrual irregularities are symptomatic of low Vitamin D.   Doctors are not as knowledgeable about malnutrition as we need them to be.  A nutritionist or dietician would be more helpful.   Take control of your diet and nutrition.  Quit looking for a pill that's going to make you feel better overnight.  The Celiac journey is a marathon, not a sprint.   "Let food be your medicine, and let medicine be your food."

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.
