Which Products/brands/companies Do You Absolutely Trust?

Hi there,

I am having a huge issue with cross contamination and I've been playing detective. I don't have immediate, obvious gluten symptoms so I am trying to stick with companies/brands/products I know are safe. For instance, I've read people getting in trouble with Frito Lay's corn chips or Garden of Eatin' tortilla chips. Also, I eat Bob's Red Mill products and read how people are getting sick of those too. Ugh!!

Today I was reading the Amy's pizza (gluten-free and non dairy one) and it said produced in a facility that makes wheat. This makes me so mad!! With someone trying to be safe and to heal, I eat products labeled gluten free and then worry about the facility. So I thought I'd ask all of you what you have found so I'm not soooo paranoid! B)

Well, I am not sure if you have a Wegmans but their store brand is labeled gluten free and I have never had a problem. Also Walmart's Great Value brand is also marking their products gluten free and I have had success with them.

I trust Gluten Free Pantry, and the Grainless Baker.

the only things I *ABSOLUTELY* trust are whole, unprocessed foods. sorry. :/

Wegmans has never let me down, also Kinnickinnick, Bakery on Main, and Ener-g (although my sensitivity to soy means I can't eat their really good saltines anymore :( )

Ener-g, Gluten Free Pantry, Enjoy Life, Pacific Foods, Nestle, Kraft, Wegmans.

I have never had a problem with any of these. I actually have a pretty short list of companies I trust to buy prepared foods from.

I trust those who have never let me down, which sometimes are those that others have complained about. I have never been glutened by Lays Potato Chips, which, I always buy the plain ones or Rippled and only from Plano TX, I also, everyday, eat 2 Quaker Caramel Corn Ricecakes and have never, in 7 1/2 yrs, never been glutened by them. I use products with as minimal a list of ingredients as possible and usually whole, unprocessed foods, as a rule. I use Skippy Natural Peanut Butter, Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner, Softsoap, NatureMade Vitamins--there is a lot out there we can use and a lot we can't.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
