I need to get body lotion, again. I have used Burts Bee's for the last 8 months and it is great except it comes in a 6 oz. tube and I need to buy it again in about a month.

Does anyone use anything else?

Thanks

Well, coconut oil is a popular ingredient in skin/hair care products, and the one you're referring to has it as a main ingredient. Coconut oil is marvelous for the skin and scalp. You can also buy coconut oil or olive and aloe soaps, which if used for bathing, can help reduce or eliminate the need for additional moisturizers.

That would be my recommendation. Both the coconut oil and the soaps are much cheaper than the Burt's Bees product. Besides, you can eat the coconut oil - yum!

I should also mention, that various nutrient deficiencies are known to cause skin problems, so it might be worth investigating that too. Open Original Shared Link

I buy Jojoba oil. I love it. A little goes a long way. :)

I like a cocoa butter and jojoba oil product that NOW puts out, that is literally all that is in it. It is solid in the jar but becomes liquid with the warmth from your hands. I have also used olive oil.

I too LOVE Burt's Bees, but you're right about the price. For every day dry skin I use Dove or Suave. All unilever products will disclose any WBRO gluten source. I've also used just plain old cooking spray olive oil and it works well on severely dry or chapped hands and at a fraction of the cost of most lotions/creams.

I use Desert Essence Organics BodyCare lotion. Comes in many scents - I like the almond or Vanilla Chai. It actually says Gluten Free on the back! I get it in my local health food store (two 8 oz bottles for $10.00.) WholeFoods sells it, but it's twice the price there.

I use many of the Desert Essence products. I believe the line is gluten free. They also have shampoo (I switch off with Neutrogena) and a blemish stick which I like.

I also like the Neutrogena Body Oil.

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
