Good to know! I wonder if they use the same oil for chicken nuggets/strips and fries...

I haven't tried McDonald's fries since gluten-free - there doesn't seem to be a clear consensus on safety.

Anything made in a fryer in a fast-food restaurant is taking a real gamble.

According to McDonald's website their fries contain a meat flavoring that has wheat in it. I want to trust the BK fries, but I remember everytime I used to order them prior to going gluten-free I would get a random onion ring or two mixed in.

For a long time we had no problems at BK. But the last two times were bad. Salad with cheese on it. That never happened before. And buns on the burgers. The lady even had the audacity to say I never told her "no buns". The manager freaked and we got the right food but I am not so eager to go back.

McD's fries have been independently tested as gluten-free. Even the very cautious CSA acknowledges they appear to be safe.

The menu says that fried items may be fried with items that contain gluten. That is enough answer for me!

McD's fries have been independently tested as gluten-free. Even the very cautious CSA acknowledges they appear to be safe.

When I first started gluten-free eating, I never reacted to the McD fries (and I react to EVERYTHING severely), so I thought it was strange when it came about that they did have gluten. So strange.

I don't mean this as a bad thing, many people (my family, too)have worked at fast food but: We need to consider who is working (kids, people who don't speak English, etc) & how busy they are. This really applies to all eating out. If we go at the busiest times, its hard for the workers to remember or want to do extra work for our food. It can be hard for teenagers & people who don't speak much English to understand the importance of our requests.

All I've ever gotten fast-food wise are chocolate frosties from Wendy's and a plain baked potatoes from Arby's and Wendy's which even scared me a little (they were pre-cut and I was iffy on the butter which wasn't separately wrapped or anything). didn't get sick though.

But I'm too cautious to try anything else.

Well I've gotten Five Guy's fries too, but I'm talking about the main fast food joints.

      I appreciate you validating me because medical is an issue and it's not ok at all they they do this. Some days I just want to call the news media and just call out these doctors especially when they are supposed to be specialist Downplaying when gluten-free when they should know gluten-free is false negative. Now dealing with other issues and still crickets...

      M&M Peanuts. About the same calories and sugar while M&M Peanuts have fiber, potassium, iron and protein that Tootsie Rolls ("We are currently producing more than 50 million Tootsie Rolls each day.") don't. Click the links to compare nutritional values. Both are made with sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. I use them as a gluten free substitute...

      I see it everyday on my feeds. They go out and buy gluten-free processed products and wonder why they can't heal their guts. I don't think they take it as a serious immune disease. They pick up things off the internet which is so far out in left field. Some days I would just like to scream. So much better when we had support groups and being able to teach...

Actively dealing with sibo and skin issues.Depression is the key because thats all they know, im depressed because medical has caused it because of my celiac and related issues. I should have never ever been employed as a bus driver.After 3 years still healing and ZERO income desperately trying to get better but no careteam for celiac other than stay away frim wheat! Now im having care because my head is affected either ms or meningioma in go in tomorrow again for more scans.I know im slowly dying and im looking like a disability chaser

While I get heartburn at night from commercial dairy milk, I do not from 'grassmilk'.

I just had an EMA blood test because I haven't had one since my Doctor moved away.  Got test results today, doctor ordered a D3 vitamin test.  Now you know what  type of doctors we have.  Now I will have to pay for this test because she just tested my D3 end of December, and still have no idea about my EMA.
