Hey guys, So I've been really trying to stay gluten free for the past year, and my stomach has become unpredictable on whether it will have a bad reaction or not. It could be totally gluten free and my stomach will still react as if I just ate a roll or doughnut...I don't know what to eat and not eat when it IS gluten-free....I keep getting terrible gas that is terrible to get rid of and have not found a fix for it yet. PLEASE HELP ME! My last stomach ache lasted for 7 hours when I was eating regular food. If you have an answer for this delima that would be awesome! Thanks again
:D

Are you still eating dairy? That's the first thing to cut out and if that doesn't work try cutting out soy.

Try a probiotic like Align for a couple of months. I was having problems for a while when I decided to get on Align. I've been on Align for 2 months now and feel much better. Got rid of the terrible gas bouts. I could no longer have any dairy due to severe stomach cramps. After a month on Align, I can now eat frozen yogourt. Give it a try, it might help.

so sorry to hear what you're going through. I've been gluten free for 1 1/2 years and my antibodies are still sky high. Fortunately, I don't have GI issues (other than acid reflux which has improved) but am so tired all the time. It's so frustrating!

I agree! I've been with celiac for five years and in the last month I've given up both dairy and soy. Definitely feel a bounce back in my step.

Some of us, super sensitive celiacs, react to lower levels of gluten than the rest. There is a section on this forum about that. You could try a diet of meat and produce for a week or so to see if that helps.

I am deffinately going to have to try that! I do remember something about I have the milk thing too, and I hadn't though much about the soy. Thanks :)

Try a probiotic like Align for a couple of months.

Last time I checked Align contains dairy. I use a dairy, soy, gluten (obviously) free probiotic. Works for me.

When you say you have "been really trying to stay gluten free for the past year" does that mean that you have been having some slip ups? If you have you could be having delayed reactions to those rather than to what you just ate. It is a good idea to delete soy and dairy for now to see if those are an issue. Also make sure you are doing all you can at home to be safe. Dedicated gluten-free toaster, strainer, condiments, nut butters etc if you share a home with gluten eaters. Avoid restaurants and processed food for a while also to make sure you are not getting cross contamination from those and so that you have the most control you can about how processed your food is. If you go with mostly whole unprocessed foods that will help you heat the fastest.

sounds like you have a pinch of leaky gut syndrome. your stomach is not fully healed. imagine an inflamed belly you need to soothe it. certain foods even in the gluten free diet can be irritating. avoid salt, refined sugar, carbonating drinks, heavy meats, raw vegetables. you need to heal your gut. take L- glutamine 1 hour before breakfast and 1 hour before dinner. after eating take 3 papaya tablets. take a multivitamin (i would recommend childrens gummy gluten free vitamins because adult vitamins have a higher dosage of iron which can make you constipated and were trying to f lush your system out faster) after two weeks take a probiotic (in a capsule not yogurt stay away from dairy for now) for 2 weeks. if the probiotic makes you feel sick (a definite sign of an inflamed gut) and wait another two weeks before trying it again. your body needs to heal. this sounds silly but take a hot bath. its like putting ice on a wound it will soothe your digestive system and will soothe the stress of daily life and the disease. drink hot tea at least once a day i recommend chamomile and ginger herbal tea. eat plain for 2 weeks. plain rice with steamed vegetables, eat rice chex like their chips for a snack, eat only cooked vegetable, stay away from refined sugar. this is only the healing diet. after 2 weeks introduce heavier (make sure their gluten free) foods and make sure the meats do not have antibiotics in them because that destroys your gut it doesn't heal it. sip on cold water. they put ice on swollen wounds correct? well stomach is inflamed so i would believe on sipping on cold water but not drinking large quantities of cold water for its bad for digestion. when drinking with or after meals drink room temperature water. its time to take your life back. i hope this helped

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?

Thankyou so much for your words. Its a hard battle when a supposed well known hospital whose celiac " specialist " has down played me because my colon looks fine and put it in my medical and so pcp doesn't take seriously. In their eyes we all carry that gene.Im having alot of bad days trying to be positive because of it.
