:lol: Man, how I would love that! So would my husband. Shoveling and using the snow blower are not his favourite activities from a long stressful day at work.

I'll get a snow blower!

Funny. :lol: We already have one. I'll let you know when the big blizzards hit - so far we've just had normal snowfall. Sometimes the drifts are so high we have to shovel out of the house and walk on top of the drifts! Fun for kids but not for us.

Sounds like Sylvia will be inside taste-testing the cookies while the "kids" are out taking care of the walkways.

:P She and I will be baking and cooking up a storm inside where it is nice and cozy. We also have a huge driveway that needs to be taken care of...any volunteers? I promise to feed you yummy stuff! :)

I want in, but sadly, I cannot shovel either.

I can pour beverages and set the table, however. :)

And that is just the kind of thing I need! Someone I can order around. Hee hee! :P

She'll probably at least make me keep all the dirty dishes washed while she cooks up a storm. :lol:

You guessed it! Sometimes I cook so much I must do the dishes several times in one day. I have a dishwasher but don't have time to wait for it! :lol:

I always wanted a snow plow! I'll get a tractor with the plow attachment.

Just thought of something else to add to the list of food ideas - a pizza party! You could make a few crusts in advance and have people add their own toppings (if your grandparents go for that sort of thing). I think it could be fun!

And for dessert maybe you could have an ice cream bar with lots of toppings including chocolate, a couple of sauces, toasted nuts, fruit...

I love to cook and I am working to make my favs gluten free. Here is one of our all time favorites that is a crowd pleaser. AND it is so easy.

Depending on your part of the country, you may not be able to get flank steak. You can use this marinade with chicken or pork loin too. It is so good.

I use Tamari instead of soy and voila! Make sure you slice it against the grain.

I serve with rice (or roasted potatoes) and grilled asparagus.

Let me know if any of you try it or have questions.

      We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

      Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen  I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce.   Something is making my pain so much worse  I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs.  Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever would do. I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
