  2. i think another important thing when stocking up on food is to make sure it's stuff you like and use on a regular basis, so you know how to prepare it, you're ok eating it, etc. a great place to check out as far as food storage goes is www.bluechipgroup.net they are a local supplier that i love, and on the food storage page, they have a 1-year emergency...

  4. most of the regular grocers carry it, but i've found that places like walmart only carry it *sometimes* so when i find it on sale (less than $3.... ) I will stock up!
  5. yeah i don't like to risk it either. i used to buy beans from walmart that said that on the cans, and just washed the beans really well, but i don't eat beans anymore.
  6. hm, never heard of the health valley brand. i'll have to look for them cuz i love and miss chex tons! and crispix while i'm at it!!!!
  7. So it's been a year since my dx, but I've still been sick a lot. Husband isn't sure it's celiac, we've talked about possible misdx, or other food allergies...what should i do?

  13. YES!!! I have the best recipe for rice pudding. I found it when dx w/ IBS...before dx w/ celiac It's so great! here's the link to the recipe. They have a lot of great recipes here.   14. hm, not sure about the quiche. i will put my cookies/muffins in ziploc bags-either individual sized ones to be grabbed for lunches, or big ones to bring out just for snacking. some things like enchiladas i will prepare but not bake, just throw right in the freezer. i like to make things in casserole dishes (or bread pans cuz i usually just cook for 2) lined...

  16. what can i do about it? got glutened, and my head is just floating somewhere. it's so annoying! feel like i can't focus on anything!!!
  17. dang! i just barely got over a glutening when it happened again. i'm starting to think i should go home for lunch instead of eating at work... too much cc in the air and on the counters. so, i don't know if anyone else gets these anal sores, but i do, about a week after glutening, and they hurt like a beast! i have some cream that the dr gave me...pretty...

    that's the worst feeling ever! i experience it more frequently than I'd like to... it really does hm, i believe i've gotten sick from them before. plus, once when ordering, the waitress told me i'd be ok with a salad w/out the tortilla strips. so i have just learned to live w/out them, and bring my own when i remember.

  25. my new favorite: Noodles and Co They serve gluten free rice pasta! I like to get the basil pesto sauce w/ chicken. It's so delicious!!!
