  1. I have had this on and off since October, but mostly on for the past month. It's so annoying! I thought it was an ovarian cyst but doctor said he couldn't feel anything. Now I'm in the same place as you...no answer but in pain. If I get any lead, I will let you know. Hope you feel better soon.
  2. Cool! Report back if you start the diet and let us know if you notice any difference.
  3. A good starting point, I totally agree. I can't eat dairy anyways...causes bags under my eyes and acne...lovely, so that wasn't hard for me. I do eat a lot of tomatoes and red peppers, but what I decided to do is to strictly follow the diet for a month with as little cheating as possible. I'm taking note on how I feel, and then I may try adding back a couple...
  4. Thank you. Luckily I saw my acupuncturist last night and she gave me some herbs to brew as a tea. They taste like dirt but the swelling has gone down by 50%. Another day and hopefully I will no longer look like I'm pregnant.
  5. Damn it! Gi doctor told me to start using beano, so I bought some today and popped them without checking the label. Freaking wheat starch! My stomach is so bloated now...it looks like I swallowed a bowling ball
  6. Good point. He should probably take a closer look at the diet...it could do him some good!
  7. Wait, here is what I was trying to say (shows my lack of recall) "AB is for Modern. Type AB blood is rare
  8. The book says that ABs are the most sensitive and have the most delicate immune systems. In fact, your blood line is the youngest of them all...very interesting. I believe the book says it derived from a mutation due to more inter-racial couples or somethign to that effect. Please don't quote me on this one...I can't recall exactly what it said.
  9. I've been following the diet for about a week now and can't believe the improvements. I thought I would feel hungry and tired if I didn't consume meat, and I've experienced the opposite. I've only eaten very small amounts of turkey since I started and feel like I have a suge of energy that I haven't felt since going gluten-free. I think it's definitely worth...
  10. I do, so I eat smaller meals to compensate and take digestive enzymes. I just read the Eat Right for Your Blood Type book, and according to the research in the book, people with Type A blood, like me, have low stomach acid. Since reading that book I've switched to the recommended foods and am finding relief is so many ways - my stomach feels better, my mood...
  11. If your cycle is not consistent, I would highly recommend you eliminate soy products unless they're fermented. I'm not sure how much you consume but it's estrogenic and can wreak havoc on your hormones. A healthier alternative would be to eat beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, etc. I eat a lot of these types of foods and prefer them to meat any day. I also really...
  12. What kind of results are you hoping to find? I've been mostly grain free for years now. I'm not entirely sure that I've reaped many benefits...mostly I eliminated them because of fear of CC and weight gain. However, I'm considering adding Amaranth back in and possibly eating quinoa for extra nutrients.
  13. Thanks to you both for the responses. I'm just learning about this "diet" and found it fascinating. I wish I would have read about it years ago because I think it provides a nice starting point for elimination diets, once one is gluten-free and is still having problems. I'm going to adhere to it for a few weeks to see if I notice any difference. All in all...
  14. I recently became interested in the Eat Right for Your Blood Type diet after some successes a friend of mine has experienced on it. I got my blood tested and I am A positive blood type. As you know, once you become gluten free, many of us have ongoing issues with trying to eliminate/figure out other food intolerances. Well, to my surprise, most the stuff...
  15. Are you eating anything new to replace gluten-containing foods? Do you take probiotics or digestive enzymes?
  16. I used to get really short of breath until I got my iron levels back up....just another thought.
  17. So Delicious Coconut Milk, ice cream, and coffee creamer are all recommended by me.
  18. I am definitely intolerant to Oat, even the gluten free oats. They cause the same reaction as gluten.
  19. To me, the money may be better spent seeing a Naturpath or holistic doctor - someone who can look at the "whole picture" and can help you with nutrition, supplements and lifestyle changes to help you manage everything you're dealing with.
  20. This is a very good article for you to read and consider: Open Original Shared Link To me, it reinforces the importance of remaining gluten free despite an "official" diagnosis.
  21. Blood tests last June revealed a high egg allergy. I never would have made the connection, but since I stopped eating them, lots of small lingering issues cleared up.
  22. Recently I went to a GI who said if you are reacting to a lot of food you should be tested for SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth)...just another thing to read about and see if it may apply. Hope you find relief soon.
  23. BTW, I don't think eating chocolate is a big deal if it's not troublesome for you. I just would eat it every day, the same goes with all foods with leaky gut syndrome. I developed several new intolerances because I ate too many of the same foods over and over.
  24. What do you think of Isotonix vitamins? I was on them for a long time but stopped because I hated the extra sugar. I'm thinking about going back on them. Have they been working well for you?
