ARCHIVED Stomach Pain On The Lower Left Side
Looking for answers replied to Dennis429's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I have had this on and off since October, but mostly on for the past month. It's so annoying! I thought it was an ovarian cyst but doctor said he couldn't feel anything. Now I'm in the same place as you...no answer but in pain. If I get any lead, I will let you know. Hope you feel better soon. -

Cool! Report back if you start the diet and let us know if you notice any difference. -
ARCHIVED Blood Type And Food Intolerances
Looking for answers replied to Looking for answers's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
A good starting point, I totally agree. I can't eat dairy anyways...causes bags under my eyes and acne...lovely, so that wasn't hard for me. I do eat a lot of tomatoes and red peppers, but what I decided to do is to strictly follow the diet for a month with as little cheating as possible. I'm taking note on how I feel, and then I may try adding back a couple... -
ARCHIVED Beano! No! No!
Looking for answers replied to Looking for answers's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thank you. Luckily I saw my acupuncturist last night and she gave me some herbs to brew as a tea. They taste like dirt but the swelling has gone down by 50%. Another day and hopefully I will no longer look like I'm pregnant. -
ARCHIVED Beano! No! No!
Looking for answers posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Damn it! Gi doctor told me to start using beano, so I bought some today and popped them without checking the label. Freaking wheat starch! My stomach is so bloated now...it looks like I swallowed a bowling ball -

ARCHIVED Blood Type And Food Intolerances
Looking for answers replied to Looking for answers's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
The book says that ABs are the most sensitive and have the most delicate immune systems. In fact, your blood line is the youngest of them all...very interesting. I believe the book says it derived from a mutation due to more inter-racial couples or somethign to that effect. Please don't quote me on this one...I can't recall exactly what it said. -

I've been following the diet for about a week now and can't believe the improvements. I thought I would feel hungry and tired if I didn't consume meat, and I've experienced the opposite. I've only eaten very small amounts of turkey since I started and feel like I have a suge of energy that I haven't felt since going gluten-free. I think it's definitely worth... -
I do, so I eat smaller meals to compensate and take digestive enzymes. I just read the Eat Right for Your Blood Type book, and according to the research in the book, people with Type A blood, like me, have low stomach acid. Since reading that book I've switched to the recommended foods and am finding relief is so many ways - my stomach feels better, my mood...

ARCHIVED Vegetarian & Celiac
Looking for answers replied to xEmmaa.'s topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
If your cycle is not consistent, I would highly recommend you eliminate soy products unless they're fermented. I'm not sure how much you consume but it's estrogenic and can wreak havoc on your hormones. A healthier alternative would be to eat beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, etc. I eat a lot of these types of foods and prefer them to meat any day. I also really... -
ARCHIVED For Those Who Decided To Be Grain-Free -- How Long Does It Take To See Results?
Looking for answers replied to Evangeline's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
What kind of results are you hoping to find? I've been mostly grain free for years now. I'm not entirely sure that I've reaped many benefits...mostly I eliminated them because of fear of CC and weight gain. However, I'm considering adding Amaranth back in and possibly eating quinoa for extra nutrients. -
ARCHIVED Blood Type And Food Intolerances
Looking for answers replied to Looking for answers's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Thanks to you both for the responses. I'm just learning about this "diet" and found it fascinating. I wish I would have read about it years ago because I think it provides a nice starting point for elimination diets, once one is gluten-free and is still having problems. I'm going to adhere to it for a few weeks to see if I notice any difference. All in all... -
ARCHIVED Blood Type And Food Intolerances
Looking for answers posted a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I recently became interested in the Eat Right for Your Blood Type diet after some successes a friend of mine has experienced on it. I got my blood tested and I am A positive blood type. As you know, once you become gluten free, many of us have ongoing issues with trying to eliminate/figure out other food intolerances. Well, to my surprise, most the stuff... -

So Delicious Coconut Milk, ice cream, and coffee creamer are all recommended by me. -
To me, the money may be better spent seeing a Naturpath or holistic doctor - someone who can look at the "whole picture" and can help you with nutrition, supplements and lifestyle changes to help you manage everything you're dealing with.

This is a very good article for you to read and consider: Open Original Shared Link To me, it reinforces the importance of remaining gluten free despite an "official" diagnosis. -
Blood tests last June revealed a high egg allergy. I never would have made the connection, but since I stopped eating them, lots of small lingering issues cleared up.

Recently I went to a GI who said if you are reacting to a lot of food you should be tested for SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth)...just another thing to read about and see if it may apply. Hope you find relief soon. -

ARCHIVED Question About Chocolate
Looking for answers replied to Lalama's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
BTW, I don't think eating chocolate is a big deal if it's not troublesome for you. I just would eat it every day, the same goes with all foods with leaky gut syndrome. I developed several new intolerances because I ate too many of the same foods over and over. -

What do you think of Isotonix vitamins? I was on them for a long time but stopped because I hated the extra sugar. I'm thinking about going back on them. Have they been working well for you?
