  1. I have a gazelle, but I have been hurting with arthritis just too much lately. The only exercise I do are stretches, moderate-paced walking, and work. I have an appointment with a physical therapist Monday, I am hoping he can help me with this back pain!
  2. This is our weightloss thread. If you have any tips, encouragement, or need to tlak about the struggle to be glutenfree and lose weight, this is the thread to post on.
  3. Robix, it is very helpful, thank you. I didn't know the specifics, and I only had my own experience to go on, so I wasn't sure if there was something to it, or I was just psychotic! A weightloss thread would be nice, I'll start one before I leave the board!
  4. If you're going to have the biopsy, you need to keep eating gluten until then. The diet sure told you alot, I hope the rest of the tests do, too.
  5. I have to have blood drawn tomorrow. My doc told me today that she will give me the results when I see her in two weeks. She also said that if something shows up urgent, her office will call me as soon as they find out. I guess they get lots of phone calls from impatient patients!
  6. The pain starts where the spine enters the skull. It works its way up the middle of the back of my head. By the time it comes over the top to settle between my eyes, I am incapacitated. I can only lie down wherever I happen to be, and not move for 4-8 hours. I get this from eggs, poultry, strawberries, and stone fruits. I love to eat those foods, but...
  7. Tiffany, 12 lbs in 8 weeks is quite good! I lost 10 in the last 8 weeks, so I am impressed with how hard you have worked! A weightloss thread would be nice. We tried it once before, but people kind of just drifted off, and my cpu broke down.
  8. Happy birthday to your little princess, I'm so glad her party was a success! Yes, I will keep her in my prayers.
  9. In my case, celiac causes anemia, which causes depression. Treating just the anemia only helps temporarily. I have to treat the cause of the anemia (celiac) to really stop the depression.
  10. Wine? How would wine get casein in it? I thought wine was fermented fruit juice. How does milk protien get into it?<----showing my ignorance in how wine is made!
  11. Thanks for the heads up!
  12. If your company does not offer them, and enough people call them and ask them to, I'm sure they will start! It will be better for their business!
  13. Isn't it so wonderful, that our kids care so much!?! My teenagers help me read labels in the grocery store.
  14. It means you are doing very well! I am so proud of you!
  15. I am an overweight celiac. I have been trying weight watchers to lose weight, but when I stick to their plan, I start having low blood sugar problems. One thing I have noticed for myself, is that when I have a lot of vivid dreams, I start gaining weight, no matter how little I eat. I was on Lexapro for sleep disorder and anxiety, and I lost weight. I...
  16. I'm so glad you and your friend have each other in this now! It is much easier when you are not alone.
  17. I guess this is where it pays to only have one card through a small, local bank that knows you by name and face and shopping habits!
  18. I use 1 tbsp ground flax mixed with 3 tbsp hot water for each egg. When I need fluffiness, I also double baking soda and baking powder.
  19. I love my pharmacist and my little, hometown pharmacy. They check everything for me. Yes, it does cost me more than going to Walmart or Walgreens, but I am quite willing to pay extra for the help and service. My health is worth it!
  20. ??????? This I have never heard. I was always told the white vinegar was derived from wheat.
  21. If the skin did not absorb stuff, then all of the medicated patches for birth control, pain relief, nicotine, and such would be no good. Whenever I get glutened, my sinuses swell up and I have difficulty breathing. I don't care what kind of reaction it is called, I know to avoid gluten!
  22. "By getting the measles, a person (and their children) are less likely to develop food allergies as there is something triggered in the immune system which prevents these allergies from developing (in essence, the immune system is strengthened)." This I must disagree with. I had measles as a toddler, my sister and brothers had them at the same time...
  23. Organically grown fruits and veggies are not treated with pesticides and herbicides while growing. Waxing after they are harvested does not fall into the "organic" category.
  24. I eat out, but only at a select few, where I can talk to a manager or owner or chef.
  25. I started reading this article, but it sounded more and more like a sales pitch, so I quit reading.
