  1. No peanuts in three rows either direction? That is ridiculous! Just don't serve peanuts to the person with the allergy! I have multiple food allergies, and I would never think of telling someone they can't have something just because I can't!
  2. Lisa, can you get in to see a gyno? You need to find out if you are having menstrual problems or blood in your urine. I am very sorry that you are having so many problems. {{{hugs}}}
  3. Are you a US citizen with a doctor's diagnosis? They have to accomodate your needs, no excuses accepted. They do not have to give you a discount if you have to bring your own food, but you'd think they would. I am so glad I do not fly!
  4. I'm casting my vote for #5. Those are all of the reasons I was not super careful in the beginning, then, like Vincent, I did a challenge and learned the difference. No more denial, I had to be very careful all the time. I do eat out at restaurants, but I make sure to cultivate a good rapport with the staff. I may not be their best friends, but they like...
  5. It would be safe ONLY if your reaction would be swelling of the mucus membranes, difficulty breathing, buzzing and/or tingling of the mouth/tongue. Those are the predominant IgE symtoms. You might want to do a dietary challenge looking for things like hives, itchiness, gassiness, headache, and such. Those kinds of things would be IgG reactions, and still...
  6. The labeling law helps cut my shopping time a bit, since I can look for wheat in bold print before reading the rest of the label.
  7. Yep, my Google toolbar has a spell checker. I used it on this post, and love it!
  8. My eyelashes are fairly long, but they are so thin and sparse, no one can tell. Every time I get into pollen, my eyelids swell, and my lashes fall out. Very aggravating!
  9. It reads like they are trying to be politically correct and cover all of their bases. What a bunch of maroons they are!
  10. Arrowroot powder, huh? I'll have to remember that one, and try it. Thanks for the tip!
  11. It really is good to know that friendly, considerate people exist.
  12. Hi Jody, welcome to the board! Some of your symptoms, the shock, tingling, and weakness, sound like what I suffered with a couple of years ago. My docs found nothing, but a natural healer suggested sluggish liver. My enzymes were normal, but very low normal. I have been taking Cat's Claw and Hawthorne Berries for it, and feel much better. It could also...
  13. You might also want to look at the soy as what is making you so ill. And yes, it can take a couple of days after eating to start being sick.
  14. I get Ener-G and make my own combinations.
  15. Hi Marlee, welcome to the board. I am an overweight adult, and I am a celiac. I was overweight with constipation when I was diagnosed. A lot of the symptoms you are describing are celiac. Whether or not you get testing done is up to you, and what you need. The diet responses are a good test, and in fact, probably the best test for celiac and gluten-intolerance...
  16. Lisa, a General Accountant, hey?!? I am working on a B of S in Accounting for my degree. I take my classes online, at Colorado Tech. I had my first classes today, and I am pretty excited! I have discovered that I love numbers and the stories they tell!
  17. It could be that your customer is actually referring to the hormones and antibiotics that are fed to commercial beef cows. If you grow your own grain, and don't let anything be added to it, it might be just fine. My grandpa always grew the corn that he fed to the cows that were for his family to eat, he said it was better all around.
  18. Dr Pepper has a new flavor out: Berries'N'Cream. Does anyone know anything about it?
  19. I am praying that I never have to try living without dairy. The withdrawals alone would most likely do me in!
  20. Each time I have a glutening, I am sicker longer than I was the time before. It makes me that much more careful!
  21. I agree with this. I have known for a long time that fried foods just made me sick to my stomach, and so I avoided them. However, I am perfectly normal. Normal and Regular and Average are all subjective terms, subject to how each person defines them, therefore, according to my terminology and definitions, I am perfectly normal!
  22. Well, if you even had a shadow of a doubt, I guess you don't now! Just pick up from here, and stick to the diet! I would also like to read the research that says it takes 6 months to a year to heal damage from a glutening.
  23. Mine were quite regular, 5 days every 28 days, but very bad with cramps. Since going gluten-free, the cramps have let up significantly.
  24. Your coworker recommended the beer because it flushes the kidneys. What I recommend is cranberry juice and tea. Not mixed, just drink some each day. The cranberry juice creates a hostile environment in the bladder for bacteria, and the tea is a diuretic, it flushes out the kidneys. However, wait until after you know about kidney stones, as flushing the...
  25. Hi Ursula, I see the picture of you! I had to hit refresh at the top of my screen, you probably need to, too.
