  2. Dave, You have got to try the monster cookies from Bittersweet Bakery - YUMMY! I bring them to work once in a while and everyone loves them. And Cooqi has the BEST bread - and I know I'm not alone in that opinion. Oh - and in case you haven't heard of it, be sure to eat at Chianti Grill for dinner - gluten free pasta! 3. I don't know what could have caused it, but last time I got a massage I got pretty sick also. About 1/2 way through I had to have her stop because I was near fainting and thought I was going to throw up - and I felt pretty sick the rest of the day. I had gotten several massages before this one, so I don't know what happened during this one. She did tell...
  4. Hello - I just replied to your email, but here is a good website of places to eat in the area: Open Original Shared Link Happy eating!
  5. That's about how old I was when I had my 1st endoscopy. It came back "inconclusive" - so they put me on the diet, and I improved dramatically within days. The doctors said, "well, there's your answer - keep her on the diet!" I would try the diet first before doing anything invasive.
  6. Wow - that is fantastic! I'm jealous!

  8. Hello - Here's a link to gluten-free dining in the Minneapolis area: Open Original Shared Link There is a new PF Chang's in Maple Grove that's not listed on that website - they have a gluten-free menu. 9. I use it all the time and have not had problems.
  10. I don't think the lactaid is a problem - I took lactaid for the first 5-6 months after I was diagnosed; and I had my bloodwork repeated at the 6 month mark and it had gone from 24 down to 4 (normal range for our lab is <5).
  11. Wow - that is fantastic! My hubby and I were looking into taking a Viking River Cruise in China, but I was worried about the food. Thanks for the info
  12. Yes it is gluten free - I use it all the time. Just make sure not to get the Organic stuff - that has wheat listed as an ingredient.
  13. That is so true!! haha - I was just complaining about that last week - I love spring and fall, and it seems like we don't get much of either!
  14. :o There are quite a few of us lab techs on the forum! Most of us are not "clueless"! :o
  15. It has been 87 degrees or above for the past 10 days. If you are looking for cool summers, this is not the place!
  16. Does anyone know of a good substitute for graham crackers? I want to make a key lime pie with "graham cracker" crust. Thanks!
  17. That about sums it up for me. I would feel great for a couple of weeks, then feel really sick again for a few days for no apparent reason. I would say it took about 6 months for me to feel "normal" again.
  18. I also think her antibody levels will be fine. I was tested about 6 months after going gluten free, and I had accidentally glutened myself 2 weeks before my bloodwork and it was still back to normal. If you have been really careful otherwise, I'm sure they'll be fine!
  19. I use Heartland's Finest Mac and Cheese. Lots of fiber and protein (it's made from navy beans).
  20. My favorite noodles are Ancient Harvest quinoa noodles - my husband loves them too. I also use Tinkyada and Mrs. Leepers - they are both great.
  21. Good luck! Definitely post a picture of Gus for us if all goes well
  22. Hello - I will be traveling in the Tampa area in October and am looking for restaurants that will accommodate a gluten-free diet. I see there is a PF Chang's and Bonefish Grill - any others to look for? We did get a room with a kitchen, but I would like to be able to eat out a few times. Thanks!
  23. Wendy's, Timberlodge, Outback, and Chipotle all have gluten free menus in St Cloud.
