  9. If you use them as hamburger buns they have to be really, REALLY flat before you bake them, or else they're just all gooey and gross in the middle. Think pita bread.

  11. Also, if you let chebe sit out covered for a while after shaping it gets better. Leave it out for an hour or two. The end product is softer, doesn't get as hard on the outside, and cooks through more on the inside.

  13. I second the Vitacost vote. You order over 25$ and it's free shipping. Any specialty food or supplement that you purchase, I always check there first. I used to eat the notta pasta, I thought it was pretty good,but it's been a while, and the shapes they sell tend to stick together. I like rotini because it's impossible to stick together in the pan!
  14. I am also now a ridiculously cheap date. Wine will kick my butt like Jackie Chan. It's a little better with beer or vodka. I love mead, which is honey wine, it gets me snockered (I love that word) just as fast as wine but won't give me the wine headache. So that's my special treat, and beer tends to make my stomach feel full so fast that I never get enough...

  17. I like Udi's too, they just drive me nuts because EVERY loaf has a huge hole in the middle. It's like they let it rise too long. I like Rudi's much better. Lunch today: turkey bacon & fried apples w/pine nuts.
  18. When it comes to eggs, you are usually made aware as to whether or not you have a problem with them within a few hours of eating them. I don't eat eggs anymore (am ok with them baked into something, just not straight) because I literally cannot stand the smell of myself if I do. Some people get nauseous, stomach probs, etc. Frequent issue is the smelly gas...

  20. It's likely this research was done in a country where the govermnment has decreed wheat starch below a certain gluten ppm threshold is considered acceptable to a gluten free diet. Many of the residents of said countries would disagree.
