So (this question is for the ladies) you know how you've always been told that exercise will help your cramps? Yeah, that's a bunch of CRAP. I just did major cardio shoveling and it's WAY worse. I feel like the people in the Aliens movies, something's about to come bursting out of there! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

ARCHIVED Do Celiac's Have An Odor?
JNBunnie1 replied to *Daniella*'s topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Well, haven't a lot of people reported hormone disruptions from glutening? Night sweats, hot flashes, booby tenderness, cycle issues... I have read of pregnant women smelling different, as reported by their husbands or mothers. So why not a glutening? Nobody would ever fund the study of something like this, but it sure is interesting! -
ARCHIVED I'm Done
JNBunnie1 replied to Razzle Dazzle Brazell's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Razzle, I SO FEEL YOUR PAIN. It has taken me six years and dozens of changes to reach a healthy state. I couldnt have tomatoes for over a year. I don't do well with beans, red or green peppers, spinach, or citrus. I am now on the lysine diet for 'herpes' thanks to being infected with cold sores shortly before breaking up with my cheating ex-boyfriend... -

ARCHIVED Do Celiac's Have An Odor?
JNBunnie1 replied to *Daniella*'s topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! I do know that in my experience living with a man for six years, he would most definitely smell different when he was sick, like with a cold or something. And my mother always said she could smell when we were sick. It's not out of the realm of logic that the chemistry in your body would change enough when glutened to affect your odor... -
ARCHIVED I Really Don't Know What To Do.
JNBunnie1 replied to JAS2's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
It is confusing, you're right. Fortunately, here on the Celiac forum you've found a huge community of people who can help you by sharing their personal experiences. A lot of times, that can be more helpful than what one doctor with limited experience can do for you. If you've been using the gluten-free replacement products, there is NO reason whatsoever... -
ARCHIVED I Really Don't Know What To Do.
JNBunnie1 replied to JAS2's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
It sounds like you have a pretty long list symptoms that could most certainly be due to gluten intolerance/Celiac. One month really is not long enough of a test to see whether or not being gluten free affects you, especially with something as serious as a kidney infection happening concurrently. It is so easy to replace gluteny things with gluten-free... -
ARCHIVED Northeast Blizzard

So I didn't actually get to the 20 feet of sidewalk until today, whereupon I realized that the sidewalk drifts coupled with the plow throw equals up to my.... chest. Almost armpit. Over a 1/3 of the neighborhood hasn't even bothered with their sidewalks hahahahahah! I didn't even finish mine, which I'll probably regret tomorrow with the rain that's expected... -
ARCHIVED Ok Embarrassing Poo Question
JNBunnie1 replied to jhol's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Probiotics are HUGELY important for me, I'd be non-functional without them. I have also found that when I started supplementing with (necessary) iron, it slowed things down some too. I slowed down more when I went entirely grain free a few months ago, wasn't expecting that. If I start to get too loosey-goosey I take a couple charcoal pills once a day... -

Oh it's plenty heavy when it's up to my hip (I'm 5'7") and I'm clearing a 6-car driveway AND a 2-car driveway. Snarkypants. Nice! My area is only about 2/3 plowed, people across CT are kinda just staying home cuz a 1/3 of the roads are blocked anyway hahahahahahah........ -

Well, here in CT my car doesn't make a bump in the snow until it reaches the windshield. Yeah. We're not going anywhere for a while! Roads are partly cleared, still have snow on them but at least a center lane has been mostly plowed. This is 'shovel for 45 minutes then come back in and pant for a while' snow, it's very windy and the snow is... -
ARCHIVED Ok Embarrassing Poo Question
JNBunnie1 replied to jhol's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
At first I read this as you saying you were pooing 28 times a day. Now I realize you're doing some weird math thing ( ) and I now see the 1-3 a day numbers. (Am I just math challenged?) I totally feel you on how annoying it is to not be able to leave the house. At one point my problem was so bad that if I wanted to leave the house I literally had to... -

I think my hormones are all out of whack lately, one day I desperately want a donut (the soft kind with chocolate icing....) and then it's pizza and then it's pasta alfredo and then the next day it's something else. I'd think I was pregnant if that were physically possible..... Dinner tonight: Homemade chicken soup, also Chebe and some cheddar... -

I saw this a few weeks ago and shared it elsewhere on the board, it's so funny it literally made me cry laughing. Also, I've been a HUGE lover of Les Mis since I was a little girl, and these people did a pretty darn good job!

I gotsa a spare room with a potty in it! And a mini-fridge! Also, super-awesome kitchen with a truly excessive amount of cabinet space (funny what having your house burn down will get you.....) I live in CT, much nicer here! Hasn't gone into the negatives once yet this year! IT is an electric stove though, as I am afraid of fire.... wonder why?..... -
ARCHIVED Vomiting Phobia And Glutening?
JNBunnie1 replied to nostalgic's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Generally speaking, it's not possible to rule out Celiac. The testing process is too unreliable. So don't assume that just because your tests were negative, means you don't have it. The other AI diseases you speak of argue strongly for the idea that you probably do. Also, one of my symptoms was violent, persistent, unremitting nausea- hard to describe... -
Little confused- did you eat the regular fries that had come to the table? It sounds like they took proper care of the food they brought to you anyway.....

Over the years, a great deal of people have reported issues with alcohol of all kinds after going gluten free. I myself went from being able to drink like a fish to being a two-and-done person almost overnight. Some people have trouble tolerating alcohol at all. For now, I would say to go ahead and skip all alcoholic beverages for at least a few months...
