SunnyDyRain replied to jkmunchkin's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Hey all I know this is an old thread but I just wanted to drop a FYI to those who may not be up to speed on the Grainless Baker. They recently moved to a bigger bakery, they have fresh baked good daily. This is slightly tricky as they also sell non gluten-free items out of the shoppe also. So while you walk in and see all the yummy stuff thinking oooh..... -

ARCHIVED Pet Peeves Anyone?
SunnyDyRain replied to imsohungry's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
Little bit of a tech side here ... They HAVE to misspell some words to get through spam filters. If i sent an e-mail with the correct words... they would be filtered out as spam because that is what most spam filters do.. where empress is not a common word and is not usual to use in a solitiation. Also, Often times if you open an e-mail and unsubscribe... -

ARCHIVED Are These Normal Symptoms For Anyone Else?
SunnyDyRain replied to newgirl88's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I have always been large.. Right before I was diagnosed I was able to loose 20 lbs, I have gained that back going gluten-free, but have not gained any additional since going gluten-free, and that is surprising being that I eat chocolate and potato chips like they are going out of style. I have huge issues with actually cooking and most often I turn to convience... -

This weekend we went on a little trip to Philadelphia to see the Auto Show. We stayed right by the Convention Center, had dinner at Maggiano's Friday night. We couldn't get reservations until 10pm, but that was fine with us. I had the Gluten free pasta in Alfredo sauce. I was disappointed in the Alfredo sauce, it just wasn't thick and creamy.... I did get...

SunnyDyRain replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I am the worst when it comes to the chances of TSS. I have left mine in for over 24 hours at a time. and about the whole.... I won't do that again... El Rodeo chips... I love them... i swear I'm getting glutened from them... but I can't not eat them!!! Everytime I eat there... I get sick... but the next time I go.... I eat them anyway. -
ARCHIVED Cheetos, Raisinets, Ranch Powder, Or Cc
SunnyDyRain replied to Sweetfudge's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I cannot eat Hidden Valley Ranch Dip mix, with or without dairy without getting D! I think it has to do with the MSG in it, or Gluten issues. I can't use ANY dip mix... I have to make my own. -
ARCHIVED Woman's Issue Not Exactly Pregnancy Related
SunnyDyRain replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Related Issues & Disorders

ARCHIVED Senseo Coffee Pods
SunnyDyRain replied to sam's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
This is sad. I have a senseo and this may be one of the many things continuing to make me sick. I say one of many becasue I don't drink the pods too often, but like once a week or so. I do have my "My Pod" thing good alternative, just not as easy. -
ARCHIVED Woman's Issue Not Exactly Pregnancy Related
SunnyDyRain replied to blueeyedmanda's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Some times those darn things just won't go in for me! From what I can tell from personal experince is if you use too high absorbtion, it dries you out in there and it get irritated and then it dosne't like to go in next time. I usally leave it out for an hour or so then try again. hope this helps and dosen't gross anyone out.. -

ARCHIVED Fertility Awareness Method Vs Birth Control
SunnyDyRain replied to Sweetfudge's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
My best friend had an insertion that was painful, but she denied the drugs offered. Most time they tell you to take a large dose of advil before the appointment and then take it easy all day. -
ARCHIVED Fertility Awareness Method Vs Birth Control
SunnyDyRain replied to Sweetfudge's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
The reason that they say IUD's for women who have had children is insertion is easier and the uterus is bigger to accommodate it. Women who have not had children may have a higher risk of expulsion or not even have a big enough uterus. It is really quite common for women without children to get it, but with a bigger uterus it's more successful. -
Egg Nog... So the mysterious "I feel like i got hit by a bus" feeling that I endured all holiday season has been identified.... my starbucks addiction. I love anything eggnog.. never would have thought it had gluten

ARCHIVED Fertility Awareness Method Vs Birth Control
SunnyDyRain replied to Sweetfudge's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
From what I understand, the copper IUD has only a small amount of copper, and the Mirena is all plastic. I have a nikel allergy, I suppose I should make sure that i do't react to copper if I decide to get one.! -
ARCHIVED Fertility Awareness Method Vs Birth Control
SunnyDyRain replied to Sweetfudge's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I agree that Birth control pills can do horrible things to libido, I know that horror well. I am currently on Nuva Ring, and I find it not so bad... but still not my frisky self. I would suggest IUD's over and over again. Any doctor hesitant to give you one really needs to get up to speed. They are quite safe and effective for many women who have never... -
I eat red robin quite a bit. I have eaten in Hershey, Wilkes-Barre, Scranton and Mechanicsburg. I don't even tell them I have celiac, just order and it comes out fine. However... I am not sure why I still get sick every week or so... probally have to do with my hatred of having to talk to a server about this. Oh well.... But red robin walks.
