    I know a couple. One just retired and he loved it. He of course didn't need to worry about having a bathroom handy. If I hadn't been diagnosed so late it is a job I would have loved. Do be sure you don't mind walking in the rain or snow though. Most that work for the post office do it for a very, very long time. At least in my city.

    Probiotics balance the good and the bad bacteria in our guts. They can also be gotten from fermented foods like saurkraut. My naturopath told me to eat that instead of yogurt since I can't do dairy or soy. If you are feeling worse on the pills I would drop them.

    With the bone scan results that he had he has a really good chance of catching up. Your plan to do hormone tests are not out of line either. If his growth plates had fused then that would be different but his obviously are far behind the point where fusion occurs.

    Hopefully someday they will realize that celiac is a 'spectrum' disorder and to only use total villi destruction as a diagnostic proof when so many are effected in so many other ways is frankly inhumane. It's too bad they insist that we be almost dead before they will diagnose, many times our lives are severely impacted long before that occurs.

    In my case I developed that sort of pain from soy. It was kind of a surprise to be feeling ickky again so I did enterolab testing and when I cut out soy that did the trick for me.     I made the mistake of getting these for my DH. He eats out a lot a we got them for him to take in those instances. I wish now I had never gotten them for him. They do seem to help with the GI stuff a bit but they do nothing for the neuro stuff he has. He keeps using them but I notice he jerks, twitches and falls asleep in the middle of conversations again...

    You sound like you need to be dairy free for at least a bit as well as gluten-free. Have you tried any of the alternative milks? Hemp milk is very high in protein and calcium, if I remember correctly it has even more of both than cows milk.
