ARCHIVED Please Help Me Out Here.....
Glutenfreefamily replied to Canadian Karen's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Karen dont worry about it, you put the seed in their mind about the diet. Hopefully the parents might open their minds a little and think about trying it. I feel bad for the kids, moms and dads that are too lazy to try and help them out is how I see it. They want to try meds first with multiple side effects instead of trying a more natural route -
ARCHIVED Food For Life Breads
Glutenfreefamily replied to Glutenfreefamily's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Thanks Im going to try it. I miss bread and I just don't have the time to make it. I make so many other things and my life just doesnt give me enough time right now. Are the brown rice tortillas better than the corn tortillas? I cant stand the corn tortillas unless I bake them a bit since they fall apart on me. Should I bake these too? -

Glutenfreefamily replied to Glutenfreefamily's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications

ARCHIVED Food For Life Breads
Glutenfreefamily posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Im thinking of trying one of the four vegan gluten free breads. The kinds are white rice bread, whole grain brown rice bread, multi grain bread and fruit and seed medley bread. The fruit and seed one sounds great with some jelly on it. Im also looking for recommendations if anyone has one for the other breads that are more of a sandwich flavor. Thanks so... -

I know its gluten for me as I dont have diarrhea within a half hour of ingesting it or a seizure from eating anymore but I had all my lovely food allergies and other intolerances come out once I was actually absorbing foods again. Now being gluten, soy, dairy, msg, and basically yeast free I feel really good but its taken a few years to figure them out once...

Sweetie I did an easy check that anyone could do (per dandelions comments) and I found out way too much information about you. You need to change your user names, get a book and write them down if you need to to remember them. You are too easy to find. Another poster on here before needed to change her name due to identity reasons, please do the same. Even... -

ARCHIVED Flax Seed Meal Substitute
Glutenfreefamily replied to GFM's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
If you do buy flax seed later on, store it in the fridge. It goes rancid fast if you don't. I love flax used for egg replacer. Ener-g alot of times makes it heavy and I have a few that were left sticky. Flax doesnt seem to do that. Flax also lowers cholesterol along with the benefits of omega 3. -

Maybe a homemade rice roll? I eat mine cold in a pinch and they taste good still. I make them out of frozen stir fry bags with added rice in the grocery store, mix a little sauce (soy, braggs liquid aminos, sweet and sour) fry or bake in the rice wraps. Does he like tacos? You could do a taco bean salad. Beans, stewed tomatoes that are diced, and taco... -

Regarding the b12 I take a very large amount due to me being deficient and Im a vegan and I notice a huge difference with it. I take 1000mcg's daily. I hate to say this because I hope you don't have it but have you been checked for lyme? The standard dr's tests are very inaccurate though. Igenex I believe is the name of the company that has more accurate... -
ARCHIVED Anyone Have A Problem With Rice?
Glutenfreefamily replied to a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I do have problems with rice, soy, corn, gluten and dairy. At first I didnt think it branched out that much but after going on an elimination diet I found out how good I could actually feel and how many of my "normal" aches and pains were actually caused by food. I still cheat once in a while with rice but I know Im going to pay if I do. If your interested... -
