  1. Thanks for the information on the bakery, I love that the crackers are dairy free and egg free also. You are so lucky to have a restaurant and bakery that close to you!
  2. Strawberry Flip Cookies * 2 sticks butter, melted ( I used smart balance light margarine for casein free) * 1 cup white sugar * 2 eggs, lightly beaten ( I used egg replacer) * â…“ cup seedless strawberry jam * 1 teaspoon strawberry extract, (or vanilla if can't find) * 1 teaspoon baking powder *
  3. It took me about a year of a very bland diet to heal my gut but now my diet is much better. Have you tried probiotics? It helped me quite a bit. For veggies I stayed away from cauliflower, broccoli, and legumes. I steam most of my vegetables or I saute them with a little olive oil. One of my favorites is yellow squash, zucchini, and carrots with a little...
  4. Thanks so much it sounds delicious
  5. I felt that way too. Gluten free made me feel great at first then dairy, soy, egg, yeast, and then salt and then sugar came along. I dont think it was due to celiac necessarily it was just that I wasn't absorbing my foods before so they were passing by without symptoms. I know it stinks because with prepared foods what doesnt have gluten has dairy and...
  6. I mix white rice and chinese frozen veggies cooked (chopped up) and a sauce mixed in from scratch you can also add chicken, shrimp, crab or pork chopped up and mixed in and bake them in the oven. Cabbage and bean sprouts are great too mixed in. I also use fried rice recipes and just roll and bake them up. For sauces I sometimes use soy sauce mixed in the...
  7. I think alot of people have problems with gluten even without obvious symptoms. We always thought my daughter's was exzema but it cleared up with the removal of all gluten. My husband just did the diet by default since we could tell through me that I was getting too cross contaminated by him and his reflux went away along with his snoring.
  8. I can see this with my mom. She does not know how to handle conflict at all. My dad has always just gave in 99% of the time since discussing doesn't work with my mom. Her parents never got along and were always yelling and never settled anything. My grandpa was very controlling and mentally abusive at times, and very insecure. My mom doesnt understand boundaries...
  9. Caraline- Regarding salt you can buy sea salt that has no iodine added but it still has some naturally. With the corn allergy issues I would go to delphi forums, and do a search for the "avoiding corn" area. They have a list that will help you to figure out more if its a corn allergy and what to avoid. 10. Thanks Everyone I do put the cream on her butt and Im not really sure it does anything or if the gluten is just out of her system at that point but it does help the itching. We did use hydrocortisone cream on her butt once and I didnt notice that it did anything timewise faster than desitin. Im too scared to use oats too. I know I reacted to "gluten...
  11. We never did bloodwork, only gene and stool samples. Her stool samples came up positive for malabsorption. So far that I can tell it seems to be gluten only causing the rash but I know she has other allergies we just cant figure out what they are. After the bloodwork is done, even if the bloodwork comes out fine, I would try removing gluten. They told me...
  12. I have no clue what it is. We do know its not dh since it goes away in just a few days at most. Desitin (40%oxide ) seems to make it lighter. Its all over her butt cheeks and up her lower back a bit although she's potty trained so its not really a diaper rash just in the same area. Its her only symptom that we are aware of. We are going to see a MD who follows...
  13. Thanks so much I bought the rice pecan bread, loved it Before celiac I use to buy Koepplinger's whole grain bread. It was a very dense and heavy bread before so its really nice since it was similar to this bread. I couldnt order the fruit bread since they didnt have it in the catalog to order from the local food store so I'm going to have to make a trip...
  14. Are you insulin resistant? Elevated insulin levels, not necessarily elevated blood sugar, can cause your liver levels to be high.
  15. How do you get relief from it? My daughter has been glutened and I have no idea how Some gluten free product she and I had today I lathered her up in desitin overnight cream and it seems to be helping since she isnt itching at it. What do you use? I have been glutened too from it but my symptoms are different. Thanks for reading
  16. I havent tried it yet myself. Too much salt for me. It's just a taste bud thing I guess
  17. I cant have sugar either, my menieres disease acts up. I have loads of other intolerances too but Im getting use to eating plain. It does take awhile to be ok with it and it also helps to have plenty of desserts under your belt. I also use lara bars and fruitabu's as a standby for a quick sweet taste. This is my staple dessert when I get hungry for a...
  18. I third it We use the vitamins and calcium supplements. Corn is hard on me to in its solid form of a corn product, if its processed it doesnt bother me. Are you constipated from rice, could that contribute to your bloating?
  19. We havent tried it yet but plan to. I think with cheese substitutes you almost have to try it for yourself. My 4 year old and my husband like road organics mac n chreeze but my sister and my niece dont at all.
  20. Thanks so much Im going to get some for my daughter. She loves the yeast cheese mixes so Im sure she will like this. It will be nice to make some grilled cheeses for her and nachos.
  21. Thats ok thanks for looking it up
  22. Her personality fits with borderline personality disorder except I wouldnt call her impulsive. Her self harm is picking scabs, zits and sores to the point of bleeding. She has really bad scars on her upper arms for it and refuses to wear short sleeve tops. Im sure she has gluten intolerance but she will not even try the diet neither will my dad. They say...
  23. Do they contain egg? If they dont I would love to try them.
