ARCHIVED Extreme Pain And Bizzare Symptoms!
Glutenfreefamily replied to num1habsfan's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I was lucky the next day I got in to my dr. and had my u/s the next day after that and he called me that night but with you being in Canada I know that sometimes things are a bit slower up there. I had a panic attack with mine, I thought I was having a heart attack. It was so scary to me. If you do decide to go to the ER if it were me (if you can wait depending... -

Get an u/s on your gallbladder, it really sounds like it to me. Going to the e/r wont help probably since they will make you fast and they will probably just tell you to call your dr and set up an appointment (that is what they did to me). Im sorry! To help calm down the pain stick to non fat foods, honestly avoid meat (includes turkey, chicken, fish... -

Glutenfreefamily replied to num1habsfan's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I never had white stools but I have heard others have with gallbladder problems but I need to mention it now with your upper stomach symptoms. It sounds like it might be gallbladder to me since that was my main symptom. I had such a hard time describing it, it felt like asthma as someone was sitting on that area but yet it wasnt breathing problems so I knew... -
ARCHIVED Anyone Out There Carried To Term After Repated Losses?
Glutenfreefamily replied to allthingsintime's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Yes, me. I had many miscarriages, first trimester, and carried my daughter full term afterwards. It was fixed with progesterone support. I would highly recommend you see a reproductive endocrinologist. It could be a simple problem that is easily fixed like my progesterone suppositories during the first trimester. Im so sorry you have had these losses... -

ARCHIVED Can I Still Bake Regular Christmas Cookies With My Kids?
Glutenfreefamily replied to Krickett's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Your welcome locoladi, You can use butter instead of margarine or egg replacer instead of eggs. My mom likes the butter taste from the real butter but to me margarine tastes very similar they have a rich vanilla flavor due to the pudding and usually I use vanilla frosting on top. I edited it as I left out what ingredients to cream on accident -

Glutenfreefamily replied to Glutenfreefamily's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Thanks I see him in January right after the new year for my regular appt. I do have an appt with my ob/gyn so I may mention it to her. I know its not a very smart way of going about it but its my little protest . ... -
ARCHIVED Has Anyone Tried Glutino Chicken Soup Base
Glutenfreefamily replied to Tephie's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I like it and have used it before as seasonings or a base. I imagine you could thicken it after making it into a broth with either cornstarch, arrowroot, gluten-free flour or if you dont mind a slight chunky texture add a little cream of buckwheat to it after you have added the seasonings to the water. Potato flakes would also be a good thickener for it... -
ARCHIVED Bavarian Inn - Frankenmuth Michigan
Glutenfreefamily replied to kbabe1968's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
If you dont mind me asking what foods did they have on their gluten-free menu? Is their chicken on there? I would love to eat there this month as its my dh's birthday and our Santa visit up at Bronner's and we always use to go there to eat on special occasions. I am going to have to make some plans to go up and the gluten-free dessert would be the cherry... -
ARCHIVED Can I Still Bake Regular Christmas Cookies With My Kids?
Glutenfreefamily replied to Krickett's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Wanted to add a few more things, make sure they stay well chilled it makes a huge difference in how they roll out. I also use powdered sugar sometimes to help roll them out instead of gluten-free flour as they dont get all floury tasting if you use too much. -
ARCHIVED Can I Still Bake Regular Christmas Cookies With My Kids?
Glutenfreefamily replied to Krickett's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
As mentioned above there is no need to make them with gluten, why hurt yourself when you make them gluten free and no one would know the difference? This is my very favorite recipe for rolled sugar cookies. I brought them to a christmas party and all the cookies (triple batch was gone!) Mine are not runny and they had the lovely bakehouse cookie texture... -
ARCHIVED Cheerios Substitutes
Glutenfreefamily replied to a topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
From what I remember in gluten days they are a very similar texture. I know they have three flavors. One is regular, one is apple cinnamon ( my daughters favorite) one is frosted (my favorite). I dont know if they have any other flavors. In our health food store they have sample packs of them to see how you like them instead of buying the big box till you... -

I hope its not serious, but its good your getting it checked out. Your not a vegetarian by chance are you? I know when I went vegan they did a massive change in color but it was just due to the foods I was eating. -
I cant call it sciatica since its literally everywhere on my body. Its a horrid feeling. Lynn- Im sorry, It could very well be it. If he has problemswith other brands of beans I would look into a legume intolerance. I hope he feels better and isnt intolerant to beans. dh204 and pico- Im very lucky due to many of my immediate family members have celiac also. It makes holidays so much easier.
