  1. Trix and Fruity Pebbles work for a treat too.
  2. That's what we use. I use the natural one...
  3. We went to the Hidden Griddle on Commerce for breakfast on Saturday morning. It was fabulous and they said they cater to a lot of gluten-free people. All their meats are gluten-free, and they use separate pans for all the eggs. We had ginormous bacon cheese omlettes with fruit and fabulous french vanilla lattes-I'd definately go back.
  4. Our new favorite is Andina's in the Pearl. It is a Peruvian restaurant and the food is AMAZING!! They have a full gluten-free menu, including desserts. Giovanni's pizza in Beaverton has gluten-free pizza and I've heard it's good, and there's always the Hawthorne or Corbett fish house, always a good choice. The Coffee Plant is a gluten-free coffee shop...
  5. Better sources are nuts, nut butters, avacados, olive oil, low fat cheeses, etc... Not the ice cream/candy, although OK in moderation
  6. Right now, I'm eating between 1500-1700 calories a day and I'm getting 30-40g fiber a day. I eat quinoa with berries and chopped pecans every day, a big salad daily, couple servings of fruit, etc... I don't find it a problem at all. I also add extra flax seed to my bread dough.
  7. I have to agree with the counceling. The trick is, to find the right kind of councelor. From personal experience, I had a sexual trauma when I was 18, which really affected me once I was in an intimate relationship with my husband. It caused me anxiety and inability to really be intimate, and then from there came the depression. I talked to my dr, and...
  8. We also use Ocean with no problems. My dd is VERY sensitive and has a major reaction to the tiniest amt of gluten.
  9. I just use the regular recipe from the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook but use all gluten-free ingredients. I cook them in muffin tins, for individual little loaves. The kids think that's neat for some reason
  10. Sorry, I'm a little late, been a busy weekend! My muffin/bar recipe with Pamela's In mixing bowl, add: 2 c puree--applesauce or pumpkin or mashed bananas or squash or drained, shredded zucchini or whatever else you can come up with 1/2 cup sugar (white or brown) 3/4 cup egg whites or 4 whole eggs 1 tsp cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice 1 tsp vanilla...
  11. I was going to say the same thing!
  12. Can you use Pamela's baking mix? If you can I will give you my recipe for amazing muffins, you can make different kinds from 1 base recipe.
  13. from personal experience, the longer it takes you to lose weight (but consitantly lose) the more likely you are to maintain the weight loss. If you weigh 345, you will probably drop quite a bit right away and then will slow down. To maintain my weight (5'11" and 160#) I eat 1500 calories and I exercise 1 hour every day. The more you lose, the less calories...
  14. You have to have a deficit to lose the weight. I don't think this sounds bad, but are you able to jump rope for 63 min? are you doing this every day? You will want to carefully listen to your body and if it's too much for your joints, I'd start with some power walking and some strength training-just dumbbells at home. Congrats to you for what you're...
  15. Thanks for the website. I know their products aren't gluten-free, they may be wheat free, but the mineral line contains oats. At least they're now posting all their ingredients! Thank again!
  16. Can I offer up my uber-easy chocolate frosting that is out of this world amazing (plus it doesn't have all the crap that canned frosting has in it): 2 c cream-heavy or whipping 2 c chocolate chips--you can use milk, semi-sweet, dark-whatever (white doesn't work as well) microwave cream just until it starts to boil, dump in chocolate chips and let sit...
  17. LOL, didn't read the whole post I use it for laundry
  18. I use Oxyclean all the time...
  19. I have been taking Lexapro for anxiety. It's helping A LOT! Had previously taken Paxil, but didn't like some of the side effects. I would recommend either Lexapro or Celexa from my experiences. Both are on the gluten-free list of meds.
  20. My kids eat them on occasion with no problems!
  21. You should email the magazine and let them know of your dissatisfaction with their article. Set them straight and maybe they will make a retraction in the next issue, or clarify their reasoning if enough people complain...
  22. This is our new favorite: Open Original Shared Link
  23. Nope WA/OR USA
  24. If I don't have the flour ingredients listed for any of the following recipes, I use whatever I have, I've never had a problem with it coming out wrong. I don't use bean flour AT ALL because I don't like the taste. I sub it for another flour or blend. Always use the recommended rise and bake times and I always rise my bread and crusts in an oven that has...
  25. I second-it's HEAVEN, and easy
