I agree with Scott. This condition is isolating and antisocial enough. Which thereby causes anxiety/stress around eating at all times. I haven't tried any enzyme supplements as yet. But mighty fed up/miserable in huge change in social life/family and friends, grandchildren visiting etc. We live in a glutened world. Horrible existence and I've only had Coeliacs...

There should be much more awareness and provision in cafes/ restaurants. The reason there isn't is because if offered, the food is inedible. Therefore Coeliacs don't bother going and the restaurants end up binning it! It is socially isolating and depressing. I feel so sorry for younger people trying to maintain a social life. I dread being asked out to eat...

I'm hopeful for future generations. But why are these studies announced before they are probably decades away from enlightenment! I dislike raising of hope when they ain't anywhere near fruition.

Who is going to monitor kidney health? I was diagnosed last year with Coeliac Disease...I haven't seen or had any clinic follow up. I also have many other autoimmune conditions. We constantly hear of vague clinical studies, however nothing appears to transfer to holistic NHS care. Prior to Coeliac diagnosis I had a constant urgent need to pass urine. Eventually...

It's not just a pill to make things better...it can restore all that is lost with this disease and the serious health problems that happen with it. Not to mention the isolating and anti social aspect to it. I also don't think I have the right to expect gluten eater's to adapt to my diet. My family are very understanding and when I cook for them they adapt...

Interestingly my Thyroid Peroxide levels became extremely high a few years ago. Hashimoto's Encephalopathy was diagnosed months later. Muscle weakness and ptosis was then diagnosed, with a further diagnosis of Thyroid Eye Disease. Extremely dry eyes, blepharitis, ocular rosacea and double vision. This year I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease. I have other...

Read! Well with Thyroid Eye Disease and decreasing vision, particularly for the elderly, larger print would be helpful...in fact essential. Impossible!!!- 4 comments
