one of the leaders at my local sprue association recommended that I try the probiotic PB 8. It is gluten free and needs no refrigeration. I found it at vitamin cottage. Hi Kitt Your test shows negative but I think your week without gluten probably messed with the results. I read in dangerous grains (cant remember author) that even three days gluten free can mess with the results. I did the same thing, was gluten light for over a month (because I felt better when I didn't eat bread products) then before I was tested... -

I don't want to jinx myself since I've only given them up since Saturday, but my left foot that has been in pain for two months is starting to let up. I accidentaly glutened myself at a Rockies game sunday night with a salad dressing I thought sounded safe so still feel hung over digestive wise so hopefully I will tell a difference there as well soon. -

Cumin adds a mild amount of heat to foods. This will help with Indian curries, just sub ginger for Cayenne Shay, I make a Drunken Chicken recipe with rum, pineapple juice (cooked doesn't bother me) etc but what gives it a nice kick is the bottled chopped ginger! Yes, I agree, I put love garlic and onions! I didn't have time to go to the store so I made Collette's recipe minus the artichokes and added chopped basil leaves, made a very yummy pizza base. I will try with the artichokes next sunday. Purple, nice to see a recipe that can use almonds also, Pine nuts are so expensive! -

Purple, Great links. Did you try the no tomato sauce recipe? If so what did you think? I like just garlic and olive oil sometimes on my pizza as a sauce but no I will eventually get tired of it and want something that tastes like tomato sauce. Thanks Shay, Do you have problems with Paprika? I know it belongs to the pepper family. Also, what about ketchup and barbeque sauce? I plan on being strict to see if going nightshade works but hate to think about life without ketchup and barbeque ribs! I will look into the b12 you suggested. -

I wouldn't worry about getting an official diagnoses when your dietary response is so amazing and your little girl is now thriving. Pasta would be pretty much all gluten, but understand that with celiac it doesn't matter. ANY amount of gluten will cause a reaction if you are celiac. Sometimes you may not have outward symptoms but if you are celiac your intestines are getting damaged all the same. Hope that helps. Hi Chrissy, I too live in Colorado Springs. The Pikes Peak Chapter Celiac Sprue Association is a great way to meet other celiac's. Val is their group leader and very very friendly. Amy, It' sad because I do know other celiacs that can eat them with no problems but as I said, I am very sensitive. I've also found that I cant eat the regular big scoop fritoes, gives me gas everytime. The white corn scoops no problem. Hope you find your answer and feel better soon! -

Just wanted to add to be careful with gluten free products in the beginning. They will be new to your system and may add some bloat as well. In the beginning its always best to do whole foods then gradually add new grains that you haven't had before such as quinoa, buckwheat, sourgum etc. Welcome to the board! -
