Scott Adams commented on Scott Adams's article in Diagnosis, Testing & Treatment
Maybe stick to whole wheat bread for your challenge, as it will cause less blood sugar issues than white bread.- 173 comments

Top Brands of Gluten-Free Dog Food
Scott Adams commented on Jefferson Adams's article in Gluten-Free Foods & Beverages
Although dogs and cats evolved from a common ancestor about 42 million years ago, I don't think that they are very closely related nowadays, although both are naturally carnivores.- 7 comments

Scott Adams' Story of His Diagnosis of Celiac Disease
Scott Adams commented on Scott Adams's article in Diagnosis, Testing & Treatment
You should definitely talk to your doctor about your high blood sugar issue, as that can be far more serious than celiac disease symptoms.- 173 comments

Testing for small intistine cancer
Scott Adams replied to Eldene's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
If you have been diagnosed already with celiac disease, then you would not need to eat gluten again, especially if you are trying to get screened for cancer. Cancer screening would not include a gluten challenge, only testing for celiac disease would require this. While an endoscopy is used to diagnose celiac disease, and a doctor might also see an issue... -
Questions about Celiac
Scott Adams replied to Camorrison56's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
This article has some detailed information on how to be 100% gluten-free, so it may be helpful (be sure to also read the comments section.): -
Good experience at The Olive Garden
Scott Adams replied to Oldturdle's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Yes, there is no way that 4 capsules could handle breaking down that much gluten. -
First off, you are hijacking the comments for this article, as the article has nothing to do with either McDonald's French fries, or hydrolyzed wheat, and McDonald's does not claim that they are gluten-free, nor do they recommend them for celiacs. It's a personal choice whether or not celiacs decide to include them in their diets. Also, Celiac.com is...

I have you two sources--Celiac.com and The Gluten Intolerance Group, so you are incorrect that there "isnt a single source online recommending to eat McDonald Fries." You are thinking of Burger King, as McDonald's hasn't changed their fry recipe the way that you falsely describe in your post. McDonald's has made changes to their French fry recipe in...

PS - You might want to look at this post, as gluten detecting service dogs apparently have warned their owners to avoid Trader Joe's gluten-free bagels:

We've done some articles on this: @Rachwertz than you for sharing this! Has your dog ever detected gluten in McDonald's French Fries?

Hydrolyzed wheat in McDonald's French fries does not mean they are not gluten-free because the hydrolysis process breaks down gluten proteins into smaller fragments, reducing them to a level that is typically below the FDA's threshold of 20 ppm for gluten-free labeling. Confusing test results
Scott Adams replied to maggiemaay's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
The test means that it's unlikely that you have celiac disease, but normally a full panel is done that includes a couple of other tests, and it is too bad those were not done. Approximately 10x more people have non-celiac gluten sensitivity than have celiac disease, but there isn’t yet a test for NCGS. If your symptoms go away on a gluten-free diet i... -
Violife cheese
Scott Adams replied to Jelly bean's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
It says that is is gluten-free on their site, so it should be safe for celiacs: https://www.violife.com/en-us/products/dairy-free-cheese-blocks/just-like-feta -
It appears to be naturally gluten-free, and I don't believe wheat could get into it where it is processed, but perhaps give them a call to see if they can give you more info? https://www.springhillfarmvt.com/products/6-75oz-maple-syrup-flask-amber Also, did you eat anything else that might have been contaminated?

Increasing the fat content in meals can help individuals with celiac disease feel less hungry by providing longer-lasting satiety, since fats digest more slowly than carbohydrates and proteins. Fats take longer to digest compared to carbohydrates and proteins, which helps in maintaining a feeling of fullness for a longer period. Fats play a crucial...

Confusing test results
Scott Adams replied to maggiemaay's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Welcome to the forum. Can you provide the reference range for your tTg test? Each lab has a different range so knowing more would be helpful. This article might be helpful. It breaks down each type of test, and what a positive results means in terms of the probability that you might have celiac disease. One test that always needs to be done is the... -
Good experience at The Olive Garden
Scott Adams replied to Oldturdle's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
It is definitely safe to take GliadinX, the real question you seem to have is, does it actually work? I can only say that it has worked for me and my family that have celiac disease and/or DH, and we've been taking them before we eat out now for years. Before we took them I would estimate that we had issues with probable cross-contamination ~25-33% of the...
