Please stop eating gluten it is destroying your intestines and making you sicker and sicker and it will jsut take longer and longer for you to heal because you are constantly eating gluten and destroying your villi. Sorry to sound mean, now for the nice part Welcome to the forum once you decide to go gluten-free you will feel much much much better... -
So I am making a blog on here for you all to read because i actually dont have time to post here much so you all can read that whenever you want. I am really not going to be posting here much, just updating my blog with my updates from my xanga and myspace. so have fun! i will still get e-mail notices of the posts on here.

sweet rice flour does taste really good, we use that for thickening instead of corn cause i am off that now too. -

i would not trust the hydrolyzed soy and corn proteins those migth have wheat in them, i would go to the store and buy la choy just to be safe, you would not want to get sick while away from home. -

yeah i think marg. is okay to cook with i have never had any problems cooking with it when i was eating soy, i am also not from canada so i do not know the brands but as always check the ingredients and then call the company if you have doubts. -

I don't trust those things at all, they can just usually have some little problem and when it makes me sick i start loosing trust in where i got the information and then i just stop using it, i then just don't think paying for it is the risk. -

yeah i always eat before i go out to dinner the one night i eat when i go out to dinner is the homecoming dinner before the dance cause it is weird if i don't eat there and awwkward. this year i did not get sick and i was very happy cause ususllay they use soy oil which makes me really sick. -

yeah we used to use cornstartch until i became allergic to corn and now we use potato and tapioca startch not the same but they work. -
I would reccomend staying on gluten until you talk to your doctor because if he wants you to get a biopsy then you do not want to go back on gluten knowing how much better you feel on the gluten-free diet. Welcome to the board I know you will find great resources and everything and everyone here is very ahppy to answer any questions you have and there...

I would def. try going off dairy for a while and see if that helps, i went off dairy for a year after i was diagnosed and then it was slowly re-introdiuced into my diet and it was fine (this was 15 years ago) so yeah. It just depends on the kid, make sure that all his bath products and stuff like that are also gluten-free esp. cause in little kids they... -

i drink propel all the time, it really does quench your thirs and stuff much better than plain old H2O which i think does nothing for you i like the berrry flavors the best I thnk that you also should be testsed for diabetes if you havent already because it can make you very thirsty all the time.

I defenitely understand why people think you are crazy, when i went soy free everyone was so surprised especailly my sister who is a vegan and she kept telling me that it was just because i didn't like soy and tofu is why i went soy free because my allergy tests came back engative but everytime i wouldhave anything with soy in it i would end up in the ER... -

You could try almond butter because you did not list almonds in the list and my friend (also a celaic) who is allergic to all nuts, can eat almonds, they are supposed to ebe hypoallergenic but i am not sure it probably varries from person to person -

i eat wild rice ALL the time and i have never found one that has gluten, it is much more flavorfull than brown or white rice, but ues always chck with the company. -
All the people who were here when we got the new board, i remember registering and thinking that the board was really weird and stuff but now look how far we have gotten. This was the first message board I had ever posted on (BTW i was like 10) when i first found it. It has helped a LOT

I know that there is already a thread on this board about this, but as it is so close, I was wondering who else is planning to go. I am doing the teen program and I am very excited, we have a double decker bus tour of NYC and a gluten-free picnic in central park. I am very excited! hope to see some other people there.

Some people say that it goes into remission when you are in need to reproduce in your teens and early twenties but then it comes back, all this time you have the disease and it is diong damage to your intestines but your body does not show symptoms, not sure if this is true, but i feel no incline to test it, i am 16 now and i still get symptoms and such... -

yeah corn and soy and wheat are my worst allergies but epi also screws up my heart badly and makes it really hard to move or breathe it really sucks so i carry hydroxizine around with me at all times and use that instead -
the flexible thing is not that bad and i have the worse gag reflex even during my sleep studies i couldn't have the tube down my throat cause i would be barfing everywhere before tehy got it down, they do numb your nose so you really don't feel a thing and it does not go to the back of your throat just into your nose don't worry about it it is not something...
