  1. Ok, now I want a cup of coffee and a donut. Off to make coffee and heat up my gluten-free chocolate donut.
  2. All this talk about fries and now I'm craving them. I'm off to buy some potatoes to make my own. I know my oil will be fresh and if I peel the veggies (I'll use both white and a sweet potato) they will be gluten-free too. The cc is the reason I pass on the fast food places
  3. You need a nice long bubble bath and a gluten free drink. Sorry you feel so terrible.
  4. I love Hot sauce! Frank's is the best and gluten free. It has great taste and is hot enough without burning off your taste buds. The fact that it has flavor makes it the best. A lot of hot sauces have heat but not flavor. Open Original Shared Link
  5. I suppose if Starbucks really is interested in only selling "healthy" products they will soon give up selling coffee and tea. Oh wait, didn't I read they wanted to sell booze? Oh yea, they will become a saloon, that's healthier. lol
  6. I am so glad you have made a difference in the world for speaking up.
  7. The least you could do is write them a letter and cc it to the Health Department. It will make them be on their toes in the future.
  8. Love all the comments on their site right now. Be sure to vote with the thumbs up on each comment listed.
  9. I'm another Celiac with Fibro and nightshade problems. I do have some itching now and then. I've never tied it to potato starch but I'll keep track for a few months. I'm against artifical sweetners. I have a dd with a brain injury who use to shake so bad she had to drink out of covered sippy cups or end up spilling because she shook so bad. Once off the...
  10. I just wrote to them to thank them for offering gluten free foods.
  11. Keep me informed on how she does. Tell her I'm proud of her for talking about Celiac Disease.
  12. Go gluten free and find a new doctor. I doubt there's a way to convince the doctor unless he's open minded enough to do some research about celiac disease.
  13. I'd check out the non-fat mocha. Or that lying manager. I've given up on McDs.
  14. I so wish we had a magic wand. It's hard when we know that people would feel so much better going gluten free. I've been gluten free long enough now that it is not difficult but it is a whole change in lifestyle.
  15. Lisa, I've wondered the same thing. My meat shop said they do sometimes put their meat ball or meat loaf mix into the grinder. Their recipe does contain bread crumbs. It's amazing how gluten can find it's way to us. It's like we are gluten magnets.
  16. I think the problem is that our digestive juices are pushed out of the body too fast when we've ingested gluten items. That why the rectal itch/burn, the juices started to eat away the skin. All of us in my family had this problem before we went gluten free. We use to carry some samples of diaper rash cream for some relief.
  17. Get over it. You will need to say something for the rest of you life. Find a SIMPLE way to tell people you must eat gluten free. You just have to do this when you first come into a place to eat. I also have called ahead if I know where we are going. I ask for a gluten free menu when I arrive and ask if the chef can adapt any recipes. This tells them before...
  18. Do you take vitamins that might not now be gluten-free?
  19. As I was having a salad for lunch I realized I had never checked my Champagne Dressing. Marzettie company offers a nice drop down menu on their product page for easy checking if it's gluten free. I've never had a problem with their dressings....so far. Click on the type of item you are checking; Dressing, dips...... Then Click on Product Details towards...
  20. I also have done the spit test. Was positive. Then when I saw my Dr a few weeks ago she verified that yes I have a systemic candida infection.
  21. I am so proud of you for keeping on this diet without your family's support. It's very hard and not something anyone WANTS to do.
  22. I'm in WI but near the MN and the Twin Cities.
  23. It does take awhile. It also take awhile to get really gluten free. Double check what you are eating and drinking.
