  1. Has anyone contacted Walmart yet? I dont want to flood them with emails, at least they are trying. When I was on the east coast the super walmart in West VA had all sorts of gluten free items, wish they had that out here in CA lol.
  2. I was the same way and I so feel your pain, but like others said it will pass. It consumed my entire life too, I hated it. I cried when I went out with family or friends because it hurt so much watching them eat all of that food. Even food I didnt eat before I went gluten-free, it was hard. It will become second nature to you soon, it just takes time...
  3. Thanks for all your input I really appreciate it. No one was aware until today about me having Celiac. He moved the dog food outside for right now and is going to get a bin to store it in. I just hope this wears off soon because I do not like feeling this way. He bought me a huge thing of wipes from Costco so I can always wipe down my desk and things...
  4. Hi All, hope everyone is doing good. I started a new job and it is in a small office. Within this office the owner brings his dog in everyday and we all know this dog is eating wheat. There is a bag of dog food in here near the kitchen area and I smell it all day long, when I have to go near the food it is hard to breathe. I am on my 4th day here now...
  5. Thanks for all the info I will have to copy and paste this and email it to myself. I like Raleys, I used to shop there when I lived in Reno. Oh this makes me feel so much better! And looking forward to that bakery! I would love to join a support group there, I already miss mine lol. hehe what do you mean by transplant? I was born and raised here,...
  6. Hi All, I would really appreciate some input from anyone who can help me out here. I am moving to Discovery Bay, CA this week. The surrounding cities are Brentwood, Antioch, Concord, Livermoore, Pittsburg, Dublin, Oakley. If anyone has information on stores where I can purchase gluten-free flour and goods that would be fantastic. Also any restaurants...
  7. Hi all, I didnt even notice a couple of you asked about the support group in Temecula. I am sooo sorry about that. The main contact is Ramona and she is a sweet lady. Her email is ramonacdf@aol.com
  8. Pechang Casino If you call the chef at the Pechanga Cafe a few days in advance they will make you a 3 course gluten-free meal for about $25.00 a person depending on what you order. I went there on Satruday and it was soooo good, the chef cooks in another kitchen separate from everything else and actaully read on celiac. He also said if you didnt want...
  9. Hi Sue, I will be very honest with you about this. We have a Pizza Fusion in So Cal and I ate there. I was disapointed, the pizza is ok but is not worth the money at all. I still think you should go just so you know for yourself, have to try it at least once. You do have a long drive to get there so this will give you something to think about. The...
  10. I love In-n-Out! My favorite place to go and I can have fries without the worry of CC from the frier. You do need to ask them to cook on a separate grill =)
  11. I dont live there but I did visit for a couple of weeks. There are Outback Steak Houses there and the store Martins is awesome, they have like 2 gluten-free isles there. Wish I lived there lol and soooo much cheaper than So Cal
  12. Does anyone experience heartburn in their lower gut after they consume this? I am just curious, I had this once before and it really bothered me. So it has been a long time and I used it again last night and same reaction. Going to test it again tonight see what happens
  13. Hi Phyllis! I know for a fact there is a support group in Temecula and a very large one in San Diego. If you are interested in either location send me a pm and I will forward you an email address for more info =)
  14. I ate wheat for years and never had a problem, then one day my body must have had enough and I started to get very sick. My aunt didnt have issues until she was 16. Not sure how long my dad had problems since I was diagnosed after his death
  15. Most of La Victoria items are gluten-free
  16. Somone on this board mentioned Libbys canned pumpkin. I eat this all the time now, I love it. Took me a couple of trys to get used to but good for you. I mix canned pumpkin with some honey, walnuts and cinnamon. Weekends I have scrambled eggs with avacado, hot sauce and corn tortilla Fried egg wrapped in corn tortilla with a tiny bit of manaise...
  17. Congrats! I am so happy for you =) I know it was hard at first but once you start to feel better you never want to eat wheat again.
  18. Mission Corn Tortillas are gluten free. I dont see anything wrong with your family going gluten free. Like other have said they can eat whatever outside of the house, but you shouldnt have to cook more than one meal. You will get the hang of this. I gave myself a year to learn and I am almost at that mark and I am proud of myself lol. I love google...
  19. Bananna or Apple with Peanut Butter (They also sell almond butter, cashew butter, sunflower butter. I get a huge jar of Almond Butter from Costco really cheap) BoraBora Bar Dried Fruit Rice cakes and Peanut Butter Yogurt - Yoplait I bake a lot of stuff in one weekend and then freeze all of it, so I can have it when I want some lol. Now, intolerance...
  20. They should be safe except for the ones listed and the decorated ones. Be careful with ones that could have graham cracker, not sure if that is in your box. Maybe cut them open before you eat? No one ever gets me candy but I always buy the ones from the kids that sell the bars lol
  21. I had a reaction to the Larabars and havent had one since. I was also eating the Mrs Mays bars and had problems as well. I wrote Mrs Mays because they use rice malt and they said it is gluten free but I still have reactions. I like Borabora bars, they are very good. Costco sells them, not sure where else to buy them except for a 7-11 store.

    ARCHIVED Hair Color

I pretty much had white hair as a child, turned blonde, then dark blonde. Now I am dark blonde with red and light blonde streaks - I do not dye my hair lol. Least I get the streaks for free =P hehehehe. My dad and aunt have red hair, my aunt has celiac and I am 100% positive my dad had it too
  23. If you have a Costco near you they sell huge jars of almond butter for the same price as a tiny one at the store. I have made almond butter cookies and they are good, kind of chewy, I liked them lol. Pumpkin corn muffins are awesme. Make a batch of something, if you like it make more and freeze them. My part of the freezer is full of pumpkin corn muffins...
  24. I had a problem with coffee when my digestive tract was not doing so well. I had to cut it out for 3-5 days in order to drink it and not have any problems. I also noticed that I had major problems with Foldgers Custom Roast. I do just fine with the Classic Roast, dont ask why I have no idea. I posted something about coffee once and it is a natural laxitive...
  25. Oh all good and easy ideas. I love the pumpkin one, think I am going to grab a can of pumpkin tonight and toast up some almonds since I have a huge pag of those. Pecans would go much better though. mmmmmmm I just do 2 scrambled eggs and a bit of almonds. I am soooo sick of that though. I cant handle the high carb breakfast, I get way to light headed...
