  1. Well see I know that most of them to take out...and I passed a few restaurants on the way home that I've been with my girl friends, but he decided to stop at the supermarket. He was being a bone headed man and not listening to me. He'd rather google the sushi restaurant than take my word for it. I made him recite our wedding nuptuals since the minister...

    ARCHIVED Sushi?

Does anyone have issues with Sushi? I've been craving it like you wouldn't believe. So I stopped at our local grocery store that makes their own sushi and they just had california rolls left. I read the package and it said that it had wheat in it (because it was artificial crab meat). Has anyone else had issues with Sushi or was it just the fact that...
  3. Oh and Uno's now sells Redbridge beer. Now we can go out for pizza and beer! I've noticed that a lot of places outside the northeast aren't as educated with gluten-free living/Celiac. Visiting my ILs in CO, they had made an orzo salad. I asked a bunch of times if it was gluten-free (I've never seen gluten-free orzo). Yes yes yes...yes it is they kept...
  4. Not me either I'm actually excited for this weekend - We're doing Uno's pizza and sushi for dinner I date nights!
  5. I actually live in Lowell - Seabrook might be a little too far for me (unless we decide to go to the beach) but I'll start checking Walmarts in Nashua since that's not too far of a drive for me. I usually do drink hard liquor too, but every so often, I just want a beer.
  6. Well, I don't make my own bread, but any baked goods (from cookies to pizza) I bake on stoneware and absolutely love the way it comes out. GL!
  7. So since I'm such a frady cat with trying new things, and sometimes I just think the gluten-free stuff is so darned expensive, I usually don't end up buying anything other than what I know I like (usually just bread, pasta, and waffles). So once a quarter, my mother-in-law sends me a "care package." It contains all sorts of flours, baking mixes, pancakes...
  8. Right before Christmas, the bar tender had told my husband and I that they were expanding their gluten-free menu "spring of 09." He said that could mean either "february or may of 2009, but it will be getting better." This same bar tender even said that he'd rather have the gluten-free pizza instead of one of their other flatbread pizzas. I seriously go...
  9. This is fantabulous!!!!! I went to Flatbread Pizza because i wanted pizza and beer (they have Redbridge there...gluten-free). Wasn't a fan to be honest with you. Although I'm not setting my sites too high on Uno's.....I'm just excited that I have another menu option there now!!!

    ARCHIVED Ufood Grill?

The "know fat" place I believe is right where Ufood is...across from the gas station (Mobile I think it is??) and right next to the Gulf gas station. But Blue cheese is usually made from bread. Personally I dont like blue cheese so this isn't something that's missed. Just another thing to keep an eye out for!
  11. LOL Once I grab the recipe from home, I will post the recipe

    ARCHIVED Ufood Grill?

Have not tried it yet...I believe it was the old "know fat" place on Rt4? I might consider making my husband stop there on the way home from work one night. Actually, while typing this, I checked out the website. One of the gluten-free items was a "buffalo blue wrap" (just order without the wrap). Well, Blue Cheese isn't gluten free....I would still...
  13. Creamy Mushroom soup it is...My husband is excited because he can make his sweedish meatball recipe with it!
  14. I had ordered a "mini wedding cake" through Celia Cakes in Arlington, MA and had a large tiered cake for the other guests.....My Husband even said "I wish I had a slice of your cake instead of the other one....yours was so much better! And this is said from the man who turns his nose everytime he tries something gluten-free of mine! HA! I don't know if...
  15. I thought i would write this to everyone that is looking to travel. My Husband and i just got back from our honeymoon and we went to the CoCo Bay Resort in Antigua. Cute little couples only place. I was glutened only once and it was by my own bone headedness. I ordered an "asian pork stir fry" which came with rice. Silly me forgot about soy sauce and...
  16. I did for the first time two weeks ago, one margarita and a chimichanga (non gluten-free). Went home walked upstairs and out it came. I said to my fiance - guess I can't cheat once in a while anymore. Been celiac for 6 years - on and off the diet and have been very strict for the past 4 months. Oh well - it was bound to happen!
  17. Chebe bread sticks are pretty good too. Make pasta and sauce and meatballs one night, make him eat it and don't tell him it's gluten free. They'll all get over it! Once he realizes that he can still be italian and gluten-free, he'll be happy as pig in poop! And a true italian isn't just pasta and pizza, you can make all sorts of Italian food without...
  18. We were watching it on demand and then we had two shows recording at once and couldn't watch the rest of it. Thanks for letting me know that McGee stole it ;-)
  19. I love spinach dip - I make my own all the time. Bag of frozen spinach, cream cheese, a dollop of sour cream, parm cheese, lots of garlic and garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes and a microwave :-)it's my go to dip anywhere i go, and I end up making two batches, one for the guests that can use whatever chip or bread they desire, and one for me...
  20. I'm a gainer! Weight Watchers for 4 years and gained 10lbs - and I was very regimented on WW. I went gluten-free, about a month later I lost 5 lbs and it's been trickling off ever since. I'm down about 15lbs since going gluten-free 4 months ago. I was also my heaviest when I was diagnosed too.
  21. They even lable their yogurt gluten free and the stuff that they sell in the meeting centers (i saw this on the new "sides" they have) actually will say "processed in machinery with wheat, nuts, ..... gluten" They have a long list of what it could be processed on. Their smoothies are processed on machinery with other wheat products....such a shame because...
  22. I'm not too frazzled....I just had to tell the seamstress not to take in the top yet because of my belly. She actually offered to have me come back tomorrow (Saturday) for the fitting, which she usually doesn't do because she works out of her house. So I took her up on the offer and have been eating very plain rice, chicken and plain veggies just to get...
  23. Good Night!!! 44 days until I get married...I got contaminated Tuesday night, had my first fitting last night with a bloated belly. SO PO'D!!!!! I'd love to sleep for the enxt 43 days......wake up, everything fit, not have a bloated belly and call it a wedding! I gues I need to wash my sheets now too!
  24. No I haven't even attempted to eat them yet..... Just reminicing of the old days. The meat sauce probably isn't close to being gluten-free at all! Plus the mustard they use to put on the dogs is so contaminated it's not even funny. These red hot dogs, can you only get them from a vendor/shop? I would say if you can get them in the store, read...
  25. I have no advice for you on what will help...but I had buffalo wings the other night....next day I looked 6 months pregnant. I said great they're not breaded...then stupid they're fried with other breaded crap! SIGH....We all make mistakes like that. Just have to learn not to do it again! Hope you feel better
