  1. your TPO antibodies are elevated- which could suggest Hashimoto's. im not an expert on it yet. i have been diagnosed. i HAVE read that they can be elevated in people temporarily or have it not go into full Hashimoto's... but i might be skeptical about that. FOR SURE- you should have a full Thyroid Panel done- all of it: T4 free, Total T4, T3, Free T3,...
  2. i couldnt survive without my Tinkyada Brown Rice Pasta!
  3. i like Rudi's! it DOES get easier for sure! ive actually gotten to the point now ( been about 7 months) where i dont even care to look at the bakery stuff at the grocery store.. and today i even got nauseaus smelling the bread loaf isle. HOWEVER.. i have had random cravings this week.. Krispy Kreme being one of them :/ i am one of those people...
  4. it doesnt make any sense to me either. what was she referring to? your ttg iga was negative and your Iga total serum is within the healthy working range. ??
  5. Open Original Shared Link (about c-sections). please understand- that my observations from reading new articles everyday are not an attack on anyone- sometimes a woman HAS TO have a C-section.. and vaccines are every parent's OWN PERSONAL decision. also, i am not attacking how anyone's parents fed them as they grew up. while i wholeheartedly believe...
  6. i read a crapload of stuff everyday- and i never save it. i just started to google to find articles that i have read. i'll continue looking, but this is the first one i found https://www.celiac.com/articles/21857/1/Autism-Linked-to-Moms-Autoimmune-DiseaseIncluding-Celiac-Disease/Page1.html
  7. the reason (imo) that you're sometimes having issues, and sometimes fine- is because not all fruit has the same fructose levels. have you looked at Fructose Malabsorption online? or the FODmap diet? some fruit has enough Sucrose content to offset the fructose while other fruits are all fructose and can be problematic. i can drink a gallon of pineapple juice...
  8. i know that many experience gluten withdrawal, but i personally never have- other than EXTREME CRAVINGS almost as bad as ciggarettes.. but only for a few days. YEARS ago- when i FIRST went on Atkins- STRICT, NO carbs, no sugar, no fruit.. i had no withdrawals, except mental cravings.. and the first 3 days i was EXHAUSTED- i believe this is because the...
  9. the DH on my stomach (small 1 1/2 square inch patch) took about 4 months to go away. still a little discolored tho. and i know for sure that HEAT can aggravate the rash. it might not be your sweat- but the fact that the rash is getting hot.. mine always got worse after i got out of a hot bath.
  10. my only symptom is bloating and painful gas. but i dont think my problem is "nightshade", i think its fructose & fructans. i can eat tomatoes in moderation, and a tiny bit of peppers.. but potatoes hurt. it usually takes me 24 hours to 3 days to get back to normal. hope someone has better advice
  11. ya, i dont think you should base your desicion to have kids off of your Celiac. it really is not a big deal- everyone's got something.. and you should do what you want in life- and if having kids is part of who you are- you need to live life to the fullest! i WOULD tho- if you're going to have a baby- i would consider your Celiac dx in your baby plan...
  12. many of us have additional food intolerances... especially to all those fake fats & fake sugars & corn byproducts-> especially in all those gums (sorbitol, manitol, etc etc...) i have GREATLY reduced the amount of sugar free gum and mints i use- and it seems to have helped. they used to give me intestinal gurgles nonstop. i now use a lot of...
  13. ya, i agree. and when you typed "Chinese Food".. alarm bells went off in my head- Asian food can be a real disaster unfortunately- its so frustrating- because it's SO YUMMY- and it would be so easy for them to use Wheat Free soy sauce and fish sauce and oyster sauce- and it would still be DELISH- it's not like trying to make a gluten free pizza crust taste...
  14. wowww... im so sorry you've got so many annoying issues & unanswered questions... but know that many of us can relate to you here. like said above- i really hope you can get off the Effexor (but weaning and under the care of a doc)... i truly think these pschiatric drugs may be more harmful than good. be careful tho- ive heard that Withdrawal from...
  15. those are all very tuff questions- especially considering that many doctors dont even know how to answer them. it might be easier to dissect your tests if i saw which antibody tests were taken and what the numbers were. it IS confusing because i think an official Celiac dx is just ONE aspect of Gluten Intolerance- i think Gluten can cause a VAST amount...
  16. are you eating a lot of "gluten free" treats/breads/substitutes, etc???? a lot of those starches and grains mess me up... i feel better keeping those substitutes to a very minute amount. i got a gluten free brownie mix for xmas- and i just ate a few of them- horrific bloating and gas... just awful. i personally have intestinal issues with corn, potato...
  17. you know- coffee & tea can be hard on the stomach, but everyone is completely different. some people are so just fine on a couple of cups a day- if it doesnt hurt you- it could be good- has a lot of antioxidants. i personally have intestinal issues if i have more than 1 or 2 cups of either.
  18. i tend to use both Splenda & Truvia. and when i bake- i use real sugar and maybe some maple syrup. technically (for me)- Truvia and SMALL amounts of maple syrup are the only things that dont have ANY effect on me. but i cant quite get my coffee or tea sweet enough with just Truvia.. so, baby steps.
  19. what's OAS ?????????????????????????????????/
  20. if it were me, i would pound the ionized silver and GSE (Grapefruit Seed Extract). both at whole foods. ive used both to kill H.Pylori, a UTI, and a nasty sore throat. they're both natural antibiotics, antimicrobial, antiviral with no side effects... just make sure you follow the directions because even tho they're natural, they're potent. GSE...
  21. without ever even looking or considering your blood tests or biopsy, if you have a Celiac gene AND symptoms AND response to the diet- then noone could ever 100% RULE OUT Celiac. it would obviously ALWAYs be a possibility. i would listen to your first tests and your body
  22. ya, what skylark said, and you shouldnt focus on genetic markers- they usually only test for DQ2 and DQ8- when there are so many more DQ genes that can predispose u to celiac.
  23. 1st off- DQ2 & DQ8 are the MOST SPECIFIC "CLASSIC" genes for Celiac, altho- there are MANY MORE DQ genes that can predispose u to Celiac! 2nd- are those lab results stating that she is "DQ2 Negative, DQ8 Negative???? and- even if they are stating that she is negative on those 2 genes- that doesnt mean she in no way could have Celiac. there are biopsy...
  24. get your thyroid tested! my hair was falling out too- and this can be a symptom. gluten can also be linked to Hashimoto's Thyroiditis- so go get tested!
