  1. so the DH takes awhile to go away????? and OMG- your salad sounds YUMMMMMM
  2. i had super red cheeks - it started when i was 14 or 15- that's why my PCP suggested i go to a Rheumatologist to test for Lupus. she thought it looked like the Lupus "butterfly rash". (this was also the same time when i became anorexic, and a vegetarian... of course still consuming wheat everyday) they could never dx Lupus. then, in my 20s- i went to a Naturopath...
  3. yes- i actually read somewhere a couple of weeks ago- that GMO food can cause Horizontal Gene Transfer- it sounds like we're in a SciFi experiment... you could eat somd GMO soy- and then some of your stomach cells could adopt GMO soy DNA into it's own cell- SCARY i believe Modified Food Starch does the same thing.
  4. have you been tested yet??? you need to get serious with getting a test and doing a proper gluten challenge for it- dont continue this "toying" around with eating gluten lite- i did it for years- i kept talking myself out of possibly being a celiac... i dont know if its fear, denial, or just the fact that it tastes so damn good- but ya- i, too am one of...
  5. my gluten challenge was kind of a waste of time!!! because my GI told me i only needed 2 weeks of the challenge- which apparently is not enough tho- i dont think i could handle more than 2 weeks! i originally was happy for the challenge- cause i love my gluten so much! pizza & sandwiches YUM... i was crampy and bloated & backed up... it was actually...
  6. i LOVE Ghee and please dont just go by my advice- but maybe you should research a little more into butter.. i think a lot of lactose intolerant people are fine with butter. i always use butter, ghee, or olive oil... no problems ever
  7. i was chatting with my mom earlier- and she kept having REALLY BAD Brain Fog- kept forgetting her train of thought- i asked her if she was eating gluten lately
  8. yes- EXACTLY everything above poster said! they have to take several biopsies from different areas in the small intestine. whether 1 or several biopsies- false negatives ARE common. after the biopsy, i would go ahead and put him on the diet. you've already got the +blood result- but your best evidence will be how he feels gluten free
  9. oh this is going to be a VERY debatable topic. i seriously think that we're not getting the "whole story" with cholesterol numbers- if you notice- the docs keep lowering the ranges (I THINK to push Statins). honestly i do not know what is "too low". i think we need SOME cholesterol to move the nutrients throughout our body. and i definitely think a woman...
  10. OMG PS- you definitely need to find a better doctor too- because she could have something more serious?? i saw a Mystery Diagnosis the other day- and i dont wanna alarm you- but your daughter IS 72 pounds- you may want to find a specialist who can do a barium swallow test to see the entire digestive tract- to see if everything is working right- and if the...
  11. your doc couldnt help her anymore???? that would be terribly frustrating... im surprised- maybe she didnt want to give it any extra thought ??? there's so many areas to question to try and help your daughter! im no doctor- but LOTS of people on here will tell you about further food intolerances some have- like dairy, or soy, or corn, or fructose... or...
  12. OMG Purple! that pic of chocolate chips cookies is KILLING ME
  13. Burdee posted great advice! for me personally- MSG, & too much Fructose can almost bloat me up more than GLUTEN! it took me a while to figure it out- but my daily pears were putting me into such agonizing pain & bloating- i was DESPERATE to figure it out. since ive eliminated most fructose- i am a completely different person!!! hope you...
  14. you should own a restaurant! all your stuff always looks delish!!!!
  15. ewww- i can not give u any good advice on the magnesium... that & potassium are 2 things i just dont know the right dosage- and make me worry about the heart. ?? i DO know about intestinal issues tho for sure! yes, dairy can really slow things down... sufficiet Hydration, & mental relaxation, & regular exercise can all help normalize u- AND...

    ARCHIVED Nystatin

not sure- you mean as an Oral pill like Diflucan?? or as a topical cream? i dont know how bad or what condition you're treating. i had to take Diflucan once for an under the nail fungus- it worked, but it can be hard on your liver. they usually have to take blood to make sure your liver can handle it. i didnt feel any side affects.. if it's a one time...
  17. oh you're definitely right about the denial defense (because they dont want to face the possibility that they too MAY have to change their diet)... but i think they're also validated in their denial because of our medical system here in the U.S. everyone shrugs it off as the "disease du jour".. and the docs still act in disbelief.. so it doesnt help ...
  18. complete food allergy testing can be really expensive! some people were happy they did it- and others on here would suggest doing an elimination diet. if you want to do a couple of inexpensive tests that COULD help u out a bit- google: SIBO & Fructose Malabsorption. if they ring true at all for u- i THINK your doctor can run a couple of breath tests...
  19. medical article on horizontal lines on your fingerprints- ive got them, do you?? Open Original Shared Link
  20. some vitamins make me almost throw up too. taking with meal helps- but most of those generic type vitamins you can get a the grocery store/drugstore/ or even vitamin stores make me absolutely sick to my stomach! i can only take certain brands. it may take u a while to find what works for u
  21. interesting about the white flour & Iga deficient.. sounds like u had good docs at Mayo! complete history is great- especially since false negative tests are so common. question- does anybody know if Deficiencies in D & B12 are common with other illnessess?? my sis in law was severely deficient in both D & B12. she doesnt have gut symptoms...
  22. because if your Total Iga was below the range- then your "normal" Iga results would be a false negative. But your Iga levels are normal. all of your numbers look normal except that Antigliadin Igg. i am no expert, and obviously our medical system are not experts either- there's still so much to learn about Celiac & Gluten Intolerance. to me- your...
  23. i BY NO MEANS have your answers... but im just gonna think outloud.. your SPLEEN is under your left breast- can your doc check to make sure it's ok? or swollen? the color of stools & the nausea makes me guess Gall Bladder/Liver.. maybe stones? ??? now, you have to stay under the doc's supervision on this- i don't want you to ignore anything serious...
  24. i have reactions to sugar alcohols too i totally believe in the benefit of the B12 injection- but i was very upset to find out that the last one i got had ALUMINUM in it . i think there are some without tho
  25. oh yes, and im sure others will chime in here too- because of cross contamination & because many of us are somewhat intolerant to most grains- it would be a good idea for u to start your gluten free journey with a very natural diet- lean meats & fish, veggies, fruits... you may also have to eliminate dairy .. you can try to add different grains in...
