    Have you had this checked out by a doctor? Yes, your muscles SHOULD get stronger. Muscles that become weak from exercise can indicate a number of illnesses that are NOT related to celiac.     Okay, so you're talking about your endoscopy, right? How about your bloodwork? Was it positive for celiac? If so, disregard the biopsy--you have celiac.     I know that you don't think that it's a virus, but the norovirus is going around right now (vomiting and diarrhea). If anyone else in your family gets sick, you'll have your answer. You're a good mom...and very careful. I can't imagine how she could have been glutened.

    I've never heard that the B12 test can be inaccurate, but perhaps I missed that information. I became aware of a Vitamin B12 deficiency almost a year ago. First, if you're avoiding potatoes, perhaps you have a problem with the nightshade family, which includes peppers....so you might wish to eliminate them.     This is sheer ignorance on the part of that doctor! Celiac expert Dr. Alessio Fasano has stated vehemently that a biopsy is no longer considered the "gold standard" for diagnosing celiac. As a parent, you need to stand up to this ignorance--your child needs to be protected in this instance. Good luck!

    Yes, the rash sounds just like my Dermatitis Herpetiformis. The reason why the "Herpetiformis" is used to describe it is because it is herpes-like in that the skin tingles before the outbreak just the way herpes sores do.     Quite frankly, I don't believe the "experts" who say that gluten must be ingested to cause DH. There simply have been no real studies done on this. All I know is that if I use a shampoo that contains wheat, my scalp and face break out all over in DH. Back when I didn't know I had celiac, I wore lipstick (only in my teens)....and my lips would swell up...

    My daughter (who refuses to get tested for celiac) has been plagued with canker sores her entire life. They became especially troublesome in her teen years, and her dentist told me, "These aren't normal canker sores. Your daughter has some type of auto-immune disease."     kareng, I can so relate! With my first miscarriage, I strongly imagined a little girl who resembled my mother. With my next pregnancy, I gave birth to a little girl who was the image of my mother. I, too, believed that she simply needed to be born.     Some posters here on the forum have mentioned that they are also sensitive to nightshade foods (potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers). Perhaps you might consider eliminating this particular group of foods to see if they might also be contributing to your illness. The spaghetti sauce would have contained tomatoes and tomato sauce.
