    Nope I don't eat gluten free oats at all. React horribly. I even react to gluten free oat cross contamination. So KIND bars are out for me because of the oat cc risk. I used to love them and thought I was reacting to sesame, but it turned out to be oat cc. There are other gluten free products I can't eat because of the cc risk also.

    If gluten free oats turn out to be a problem for you then be aware some gluten free products can have cross contamination from them also.     Does he like other foods? Sometimes when my boys get bored of breakfast foods, they eat other things. It might be a grilled cheese sandwich or leftovers from the night before. As long as they eat something that is half way decent I don't make a fuss.

    Your ped should run the tests for you. That is nonsense. The GI is right in that they won't write orders for someone who is not their patient. Maybe you could have your daughter's GI write a letter to your ped explaining the need to test the other children.     Nope it doesn't look like they did a total IgA. You need to ask for it and the newer tests. They are IgA/IgG DGP(deamidated gliadin peptide) and are supposed to be more accurate.

    Both my boys have/had issues with cavities. Youngest son had his first ones at 3 in all four of his 2 year molars.     We do the same thing with the cornstarch. We like to season the corn starch first to add more flavor. They taste really good fried in coconut oil! My kids like to eat them plain and the hubby LOVES them diped in wing sauce.

    She may have been negative 5 years ago and could end up with a positive test now. And even if she doesn't test positive gluten still could be a problem. My youngest son tested negative after I was diagnosed. Two years later he had positive blood work.
