  1. Here's the email I received from them: Dear Geoff: Thanks for your inquiry regarding gluten in Kettle brand products. All ingredients are listed on the bags, so you are able to tell which products have gluten in the ingredients. None of our Kettle Brand
  2. I actually emailed them a while ago. They said that all their chips are gluten-free since they do not manufacture any products in that facility that contain wheat/gluten. There was one flavor that did contain gluten but it was discontinued a while. I would attribute any reaction to the fats and oils.
  3. I was actually somewhat the opposite; gluten completely backed me up. But I guess it made sense if it was throwing my digestion off. I'm sure you have already heard; "Drink more fluids and eat more fiber." I would have to disagree with this statement. This just made going to the bathroom more painful for me and I think if I continued along that path,...
  4. What do you usually eat with the beans and green beans?
  5. I always take a threelac on an empty stomach right after I get glutened. It is somewhat rough on the system since it contains insoluble fiber, but it seems to do wonders for speeding up the recovery time.
  6. I would definitely be worried about it. Many oats and oat flour are contaminated with gluten due to the manufacturing process. Double check the bottle to see if it says anything. And if doesn't I would call the company.
  7. Yes. My GI told me the tests become unreliable after 6 - 8 weeks.
  8. Some are obviously more sensitive than others. But I would consider myself very sensitive and will eat on same lines if the company specializes in it. For example, Amy's and Van's produce products for people with special diets. While Lay's does not. I also don't worry if they're produced in the same facility. I only worry about shared lines if the company...
  9. How long have you been gluten-free? I would attribute the issues you are having with legumes to their high fat (peanuts) and high fiber (beans) content. Nearly all digestion of fats occurs within the small intestine. So it makes sense that you are going to have issues digesting them. Fiber is also very rough on the system; they don't call it roughage...
  10. Add me to the list. Before I would just get a bad stomach ache and bloated. Now it sends me to the bathroom and afterwords I am almost feel as if I am in shock. Before when our bodies were constantly receiving gluten, we developed somewhat of a tolerance for it. Now that we are gluten-free that tolerance is gone and in turn, our symptoms become more severe...
  11. I'm sorry to hear that. But, like you said, try to stick with the diet for a little longer. It takes some people many months before they starting noticing improvements. That said I would also continue to look for other possibilities. I know it's frustrating, but if you keep searching you will find your answer. I was tested for celiac three different times...
  12. I personally do not think you are allergic to all grains. Of course, it is not uncommon for the body to be high alert for anything even remotely similar to gluten. I think your issue lies with insoluble fiber. It is very rough on the digestive tract and can throw off your digestion of fats. All whole grains contain insoluble fiber. It also explains your issue...
  13. It's good to hear another Doctor actually listening to and trusting their patients. I have heard so many stories of doctors saying; "Gluten can't be the issue, you tested negative for Celiac, it is perfectly fine for you to consume gluten." This just really bothers me. When doctors themselves are not educated about these issues. There is so much we still...
  14. I myself was never actually really a fussy eater, except for asparagus, man that stuff makes me wanna barf. But I do remember having severe constipation as a child, I was obviously never diagnosed then either. I also remember having weird stomach issues and cramps as a child. It's interesting how are body almost became desensitized to it and that we were...
  15. I never had any "official" relationships but I sometimes felt as if I was the boyfriend. I think I was afraid of commitment because I knew I wouldn't be able to be there all the time when they needed me. And it might sound stupid but not having that physical aspect and physical connection, I am feeling left with a void. Unfortunately I live in a small town...
  16. That's funny. That's the exact same thing my biopsy showed - no atrophy, but minor inflammation. Turned out to be gluten sensitivity. My GI ruled out Crohn's I believe with some kind of a marker test, I forget if it was blood or what.
  17. Thank you for your reply. I think you hit the head of nail. Especially these two parts. My parents and a few others have said the exact same thing. I don't think I trust myself anymore because if I "thought" I was fine all this time and I really was not, well how could I trust myself again right away? The whole thing about finding myself is very true too...
  18. I always knew there was something wrong with me. I would always tell my mom, I'm still hungry but if I eat anymore I think I might throw up. These are definitely conflicting emotions so I was frustrated a lot of the time. I don't think it was because I was not properly absorbing food, I think it was more because my stomach would be full of air. And being...
  19. I was just wondering if anyone had to or wanted to see a psychologist or a counselor after being diagnosed? And if so, did it help? I only know of one other person on the forums, who, like me, suffers from post dramatic stress disorder. I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way. I have only been gluten-free for 6 months and I have noticed improvements...
  20. I too have a similar story. In addition to having panic attacks when I was consuming gluten, I also had a fear of flying which magically seemed to disappear. I remember when I did have the panic attacks it was as if my body was overreacting. My mind would be mentally more calm than my physical body. Since going gluten-free my panic attacks have completely...
  21. My guess would either be (as previously mentioned) the corn and or the berries. I myself have to be very careful about when and what I eat fruit with. I make sure to always eat it first and to wait at least 20 minutes before eating anything else. I remember a couple of times before I used to eat a banana and a brown rice bar at the same time. This would...
  22. The best thing to do when there are conflicting opinions is to call the company yourself. Opinions may differ because the manufacturer may have changed the ingredients.
  23. I'm not sure about Annie's but I know Bob's Red Mill has some that is gluten free. If you cannot find it in stores I have found it online, but only on Amazon.
  24. Celiac disease is diagnosed by having damaged or flattened villi. So if you have one, you have the other. You could just have a wheat allergy, but I would say it is less likely. One way to tell is to go out and by some wheat-free, but not gluten-free bars and see how you react. That is actually how I finally came to the conclusion that it was not just wheat...
  25. Open Original Shared Link As always, be careful about what you put in your body. Even some of these "natural" remedies can be dangerous. I'd start off with the safest ones such as Apple Cider Vinegar and or Garlic. Hope this helps.
