  1. Turkey Enchiladas with cilantro/green salsa/garlic/cream sauce for the family Turkey with pumpkin sauce over spaghetti squash for me
  2. I agree with Gemini - look into Thrush. Your problem could be yeast based or bacterial overgrowth or both. There are breath tests to determine bacterial overgrowth - but they are far from accurate. If it is yeast based you'll need DiFlucan and if it is SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth) you may need antibiotics. With either probiotics are important...
  3. there's my goal and the trial will be much more fun than edamame was
  4. Hi KrazyKick- I know the last thing you want to do is remove more foods. I had improvement with digestive symptoms my first year gluten-free, but other symptoms worsened until I removed all high lectin foods at once. When we remove gluten we often replace with others that can be equally harsh on a leaky gut. Given your problems with some other proteins...
  5. Hip, Hip, Hooray That is far superior to some goofball making Peter disappear
  6. I get severe mood changes with all legumes - peanuts are the worst as far as anger, anxiety, sadness. Peas and beans are like sleeping pills and soy is major abdominal bloating along with melancholy. Haven't noted tachycardia per se, put I do know that certain foods do cause palpitations and anxiety.
  7. Yep...there it is we should ask Scott to add the Baloney Song to his first post - it's only right and I'll be lost each time I accidentally click on page one of 2.0
  8. tiptoeing in here...I know I'm newer to the silly thread...but gotta say it just looks wrong to not have Triticus Toxicumb's Elephant Avatar as the original poster of the thread. Also think His Royal Highness Tom should remain on the thrown for the first hundred pages of Tickle 2.0 and that a link to the orignial thread should be place in the title of...
  9. I can tell you there have been other members that have posted that are unable to get an official diagnosis for Celiac Disease because of low Total IgA with negative blood tests. It's one of those never ending loops if you don't have the right doctor - low total IgA can't test positive on the IgA antibody tests and some doctors will not diagnose without the...
  10. Me...but it wasn't the meal it was the prep along with exercising before the prep - wasn't wise with my energy management plan - much better today Does Oscar celebrate two Thanksgivings?
  11. No hangover here - my computer is not happy with c.com today - very slow. Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Feel better Shadow
  12. I'm in Love with a Gay Waitress -- Christopher Dale Good Friend whose music is the best to walk and ski to. Check him out - his CDs would make great Christmas gifts - shop small business this season
  13. We found it helpful in my family as my kids were all testing negative - all with different symptoms -- my gene testing was an important piece of the puzzle for them. Honestly, it was my celiac doc suggested it when we were frustrated with the diagnosis process of my children. I never would have been tested without his suggestion. Again - it is not conclusive...
  14. Love Her Madly -- Doors
  15. Your doctor can order blood tests for Celiac genes. I've also seen folks on this board that have had it done through private companies. There are drawbacks to gene testing most U.S. doctors test for DQ2 and DQ8 only there are other genes associated with Celiac Disease and NCGI it is possible to have positive antibodies and/or positive biopsy without...
  16. I have never eaten a meal in this Los Angeles you speak of -- however, I am very familiar with their freeways Tonight is steak! Small bribe to encourage my men to be cooperative when I wake up in Drill Sgt mode tomorrow morn'. Spinach Salad with Egg, Onion & Bacon for men Pumpkin Ginger Soup for me. I am thankful today that my health is...
  17. Please include a new food synthesizer when you send the requisition for your tricorder to Star Fleet Command - ours is currently malfunctioning - all of it's products have trace amounts of gluten -- it is my understanding that the new model, called a Replicator, has been programmed to never allow replication of these harmful proteins
  18. This is excellent news - finding a good doctor is cause for celebration! That you'll be through the testing portion of this "fun" process in a few short weeks is good news as well - waiting is tough...I've completed my Master's of Waiting Degree and am now working on my Doctorate of Waiting Degree Learning is one positive that we all have control...
  19. Prayin' -- Plan B
  20. I agree - you are not alone being either/or. My kids test negative. One has an "official" dx, one calls himself celiac and one calls himself intolerant. All three live better lives gluten-free.
  21. Good Morning Bill- A couple thoughts: I tthink I am remembering correctly that you had removed gluten for several weeks prior too both blood and biopsy. It is possible this was enough time to bring all blood levels within normal range. Your doctor noted inflammation in the small intestine during the endo - have you seen the path report yet? Stage...
  22. I strive to always say "symptoms associated with Celiac Disease" and "testing should be done to before removing gluten". To the best of my knowledge I have never said a person has Celiac Disease until they report back with an official diagnosis. For those of us that did go misdiagnosed, undiagnosed or dismissed by a multitude of doctors - until you have...
  23. Double Vision -- Foreigner
  24. I'm glad your results were clear - it does alleviate continued frustration from lingering questions . Outstanding news that you are already feeling better - thanks for sharing
  25. All native Californians in this house - turkey enchiladas and turkey tacos are post Thanksgiving day musts. Once in awhile a turkey pot pie slips into the mix in between Mexican fare - oh and turkey sandwiches with cranberry Turkey and waffles will likely be called up to the permanent Turkey Day roster after this year!
